The service with J & D Handyman Service LLC went well.

I didn't think J&D Handyman Services LLC did a really great job. He kind of rushed in there and did some stuff. I really don't recommend him to anybody. He put some spackle up but didn't sand it down. I think he was supposed to be there for four hours but he wasn't there the full time. He really rushed through the job. He did hang up a towel rack for me that had fallen down. Other than that, the work he did was not that great with the spackling up. I've seen people do better than that that's not professionals. He rushed in and rushed out. He might have been here two hours. The price was good, if he had performed the service that he was supposed to.

They repaired some major cracks and unevenness in the plaster of several walls in our master bedroom. The unevenness had been caused by a small closet having been removed and walled up in the past. The handymen did the very best they could to smooth out the join from the old closet and the remainder of the wall. I was very satisfied with the result.

They were good, I put them "A" all around. They seem fine, they were on time, they're professional and did a good job with the dry wall repair. I spent more cause I needed them for a little bit of extra work too, it might have been $100.

This was my first experience with someone from Angie's List and it was wonderful. Jerome Brown was exactly on time-8 AM. He assessed the problem and promptly repaired the door. The entire work area was left clean 'n tidy!

The team arrived on time and proceeded to do the needed work in less time than the 4 hours that I recall had been stipulated in the "big deal." I had thought the ceiling would need some sort of "rebuilding," but extensive scraping, smoothing, and re-plastering of the damaged area did the job. The smaller area of damage in the wall in the other room was quickly repaired. They would have stayed the full 4 hours if I'd ask them to do any additional repairs, but there really wasn't anything else to do.

The guy was late and when he got here, he told me what I wanted wasn’t covered under the deal. He ended up doing some of the things I needed, but he did it kind of begrudgingly. I would not use them again.

0I was redeeming an Angie's Big Deal voucher, The workers arrived on time and were courteous and professional and seemed to do a good job. My only disappointment was that they only patched the hole and did not prime or paint.

Part of the work, the drywall on the ceiling in the family room and in the cove was satisfactory. However the work done in the basement was not satisfactory. They did not bring all the supplies they needed and they borrowed my paint bucket and I am still waiting for them to return it.

Mr. Brown, the owner, scheduled an appointment for me on short notice. He and an associate arrived on time or even slightly early. They quickly moved boxes and items of furniture between floors without causing damage to the newly painted walls. Mr. Brown even sanded a spot on the wall and pointed out issues with a ceiling light. Additionally, he made suggestions for other decorative touches to improve the marketability of my house. I plan to use Mr. Brown's services in the future. His professionalism is admirable and appreciated.

We were very pleased with the work that was performed. We highly recommend them and would use them again...Very professional timely, and detailed.

They did it sometime last year. They were nice people and they arrived on time. I did not think that the quality of work was all that it should be. They did not pay attention to detail, especially in the corners. It was not done as well as I would have liked. They did the job at the time I needed it. I needed it right away. I was not happy with the total package. I bought the package because I had a need. I was disappointed. I did not have a problem with them being in my home. I did not have to pay any extra. I would not use them again.

They did an average job. It was not too bad and it was not too good. I would not use them again.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. I wanted them to come back an additional day because the drywall needed more than one coat of mud but I was unable to get them to come back to give me additional days. I knew I would have to pay them additional money myself but they never did come back. They were on time and were pretty neat. They did what they had to do, that day. My concern was that they did not come back. Their work was quality work but I need someone who will be totally reliable.

The owner arrived on time to provide an estimate of the time and cost. I gave the go ahead with knowledge that the replacement vent would need to be obtained from a local supplier such as Home Depot once the installer came and measured the vent. The installer came early to the appointment and measured and asked that I check with Home Depot to see if the vent was in stock. When I check I found out that it was not a stocked item and needed to be ordered. We needed to reschedule the installer to come back after I received the vent. After it was shipped to my house an installer was dispatched who arrived early and was able to complete the install despite the need to work in the rain. I believe the installation was done in a quality fashion. I believe the measurement should have been done at the time of the initial estimate to save one trip by the installer. As for price the estimate was based on a minimum of 3 hours. It actually took about two.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. We've called for an appointment and no one will ever call you back, you only get a voice mail and we've never been able to connect and no one has ever called us back. We never got anything for our purchase. I called probably 5 or 6 times. I just got a recording. In the beginning I just said we were trying to schedule some drywall repair and never heard back and then I started leaving a little bit more detailed information, I was clear, it's not like they couldn't get my phone number, I was clear as far as leaving my name, I would spell it out, I would say the number more than once, sometimes it's difficult to understand a phone number when they leave it on the machine but we never heard back.

[0:59-1:01] They didn't do the job that well. They did, but they didn't; they're supposed to to a drywall work and fix nail pots, they didn't really fixed it, the just put [1:15-1:17]

I called this provider on May 8th and spoke with Jerome. He came out the same day and gave me an estimate on some work I need done. I explained to Jerome that I needed the work done ASAP. He agreed to do the work the next day. He and his worker were punctual. The first thing he did WRONG was replace a post in the front of the house that he cut to short so the problem was NOT fixed NOT (Now I have to pay someone else to fix it). Secondly, he replaced trim around two exterior doors but DID NOT remove all the old rotten wood. Thirdly, he recommended I replace an old window because I could not find parts to repair it. He assured me one of the big box stores carried the window so he and his worker took the window out while I went to the store to purchase the window. However, the store had the window on special order ONLY which would take up to two weeks. Did I mentioned when I called Jerome to tell him the news, he had already removed the window and could NOT get it back in because he CUT the frame and siding where the window was originally placed. This all happened when we had LOTS of rain...Jerome lead me on for approximately 4 days PROMISING me he could get the window but it never happened. I eventually used another Angie's List member to re-install the old window (Now I can seethe outside around the window because he removed the metal frame and it was ruined and could not be fixed). That member also RIPPED ME OFF!!!! and both these members had good grades. The second one even received Angie's wards for a few years...Just would like to to know how authentic are these reviews ?

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. The special offer was for 4 hours of plaster or drywall repair. They did what they were asked.

When I called to set up an appointment I was not asked what needed to be done. I spoke to Jerome the morning of the appointment and told him I was going to try to pick up the drywall, he told me to wait until he got to my house. When arrived he told me what I paid for was repair to drywall not install since he was there I asked him if he could do the job he said yes but the money I paid to Angie's List would not apply, I asked him why not since he was doing drywall work. He went and picked up the drywall, installed it but left a big mess on my floor. I had globs of the drywall wash all over the floor, on my outlets. They swept up debris but I was very disappointed in the condition of the floor.

The workers showed up on time and got right to work. They finished their work and made sure I was satisfied with the job before they left. They did a good job

It went very well. Two gentlemen showed up right on time. They worked quickly, efficiently, and very neatly to repair large crack in ceiling.

Removed water damaged wallboard from ceiling, roof leak, replaced the wall board, repaired joints in wall, applied join compound, sanded then painted . Repaired seam crack in overhead wallboard, different room, sanded then painted, Repaired nail pop stair wall, sanded then painted. Installed replacement ceiling fan. Thoroughly cleaned work areas, covered necessary areas with drop cloths, necessary furniture had been removed and replaced. All is not necessarily in the order performed, yet all that was to be done was completed to our satisfaction, as far as wall and ceilings are concerned, the rooms were restored to like new condition. Replacement carpeting is all that remains, that was not part of the agreed repairs. That is for another day.
