I have used this company several times in the past and have found their work to be very satisfactory. However, the recently completed flooring project indicated a lack of professionalism and poor workmanship. Specifically: 1. I was not notified in advance of the increased price for some so-called repairs to the floor. 2. I was not notified in advance that I would need to purchase and pick up the flooring material and at a home improvement chain store over 20 miles from my home The same type store is less than 3 miles from my home. 3. The project was supposed to take two days during normal business hours, but the crew (leader and two other men) arrived at my home around 1300 hours on Day 1 and “finished” the project at shortly after 2300 hours. 4. Around 21 hours, I was asked to go the home improvement store and purchase two additional boxes of laminate flooring. Normally, I would not have left three strangers in my home unattended, but it appeared the project would be completed that night. 5. I thought I smelled some type of adult beverage in the work area and this was confirmed the next day when I found a bag of empty beer cans behind my garage. The re-cycle receptacle was close to the area so I do not know why the men threw the cans on the ground. Regarding the poor workmanship--when the crew “finished” the project that night, it was after 2300 hours so I was too tired to do a detailed inspection. I have attached photos of the sloppy work. This contractor kept badgering me about performing additional flooring work and another renovation project in my basement; however, his lack of professionalism and poor workmanship on this project lost him any future jobs. I sent the contractor an email about the above cited issues, but received no response.

Based on past experiences, I hired this service again without checking here first! Big mistake! Do NOT allow this guy to do anything involving electrical services in your home! He is not licensed and definitely not trained to do so. The owner Jerome installed the lighting and shortly after one of the lights went out, a week later another light went out. I phoned him and he insisted the 10 year bulbs were burned out. I didn't think that was the case and he said he would return to check the lights. He scheduled to come out several times and then wouldn't show up. He had a multitude of excuses and then stopped answering the calls... Eventually over time all the lights were out and we were forced to call an electrician. When the electrician opened the ceiling, he was flabbergasted! He showed me how all the wires were not capped or grounded. He told me to be thankful that they shorted out and didn't spark and start a fire!! Mind you, this ceiling is right below the master bedroom! This could have ended in tragedy and when I did get in touch with him and sent pictures of his shoddy work. He said he would return my money! I had to have all the work redone which included taking down the ceiling as this was all new wiring! Mr. Jerome Brown never returned my money and obviously did not care about the safety of my family. The electrician urged me to sue, still considering it. But for now I am here to warn you... This isn't a good business to deal with and Angie's list reports he has violated their rules too! Beware and if you've had electrical work done by him, please have it checked...

Mr. Brown came out and power washed the deck on May 11th and then charged my credit card $466.40. I agreed to pay him the remaining amount of $173.60 when we scheduled the deck stain job. Within a week or so of power washing the deck, we scheduled a date for the stain job and I paid him $173.60. Initially, due to rain throughout the Spring, Mr. Brown was not able to identify consecutive days of conducive weather. I don't fault him for the weather. It would rain and before the wood could dry out, it would rain again. We got so much torrential rain that I never thought that it would stop raining. I began to worry about the money that I'd paid for the deck staining, not having received a receipt. Mr. Brown reassured, 'don't worry, I'm going to do the job as soon as the weather improves'. I'd been asking him for a receipt since scheduling the work and he said, 'Don't worry. I'll come over to the yard when we have consecutive dry days and you'll come home and find it done. No worries.' Well, I began to worry....On May 11th, May 15th and June 9th, I texted Mr. Brown requesting a receipt for the $173.60 that I'd paid him for staining the deck. I never received a receipt for that amount paid. Each time that I called or texted, he said that he'd come out when the weather was better and that I wouldn't have to call. I called him from time to time when it seemed that the weather improved. There had been short periods of dry weather when I thought that he'd stain the deck but I hadn't seen him. It seemed that all of the severe rain had passed for the season. After a lot of torrential rain storms, I called him on 8/15. We scheduled an appointment for the deck staining on 8/24 at 6pm. He said that that was his first available appointment. Mr. Brown did not show up for the appointment so I called him when I reached home. I spoke to him and he said, 'oh, the weather's not good'. To which I replied, there's no rain in the forecast for at least 4 - 5 days. Tonight will be a clear night. He then asked if he could call me back in 10 minutes. An hour later, I called him back and left a message on his voicemail. The following day, 8/25, I spoke with Mr. Brown again and said that I wanted to get my $173.60 from him. He said that that would be fine and we scheduled a time to meet at my home so that I could receive my refund. Mr. Brown did not keep his appointment on 8/26 to refund my money. He dodged my phone calls and text messages that entire day and evening. On Sat. 8/27 at 11:49 he simply texted 'Sorry. My bad.' After waiting a grace period in hopes that Mr. Brown would stain the deck or refund my money, I hired a contractor on 9/14 to stain the deck. This work was completed by ANOTHER contractor on 9/15. If he'd only realized that he was overextended and refunded me my money, I would not have submitted a negative review. This is unacceptable.

They charged only $120. They were just very good as far as the repairs that needed to be done. I would use them again in the future.

They did a great job. Very fast, professional finish. Can't tell where the patches are.

My kitchen was painted. The painters worked really quickly, and -- upon close inspection -- some of the work is a bit sloppy. But the painters were nice, and I didn't have to do it myself!

There was some sort of error with this deal. The provider was not offering it.

They did a professional job and we had no issues with the work. They were easy to schedule with and arrived on time. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

They were excellent to work with! They were very courteous. They cleaned up well after themselves. They did some extra work for me since they finished early.

I wasn't able to do the work and now the deal is expired and it has been refunded. They were courteous.

The handyman was good. I think it was pretty quick. I think they seemed very helpful and conscientious.

We never used this coupon. The estimate they gave included an additional amount and was just way too high. It was a back and forth. They said they don't do gates, but asked that we send a picture. They did not come out. They just looked at the picture.

It went well. Job was done one day. And came back once it dried and completed and cleaned up.

My experience was excellent with this company!

I sold my home and no longer needed this deal and will be moving to FL

Ever showed up on time, reviewed what needed done and went to pick up the necessary materials. He started the project and worked cleanly and efficiently. Clearly he understood what needed to be done and did not waste any time in completing the job. When completed he cleaned up, went over the project with me which I approved. Ever knew what he was doing and I would have him back for similar jobs that I may have.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. It was fine and they did what I expected them to do.

It was two years ago and I don't remember details, but would not use them again. I cannot remember how much the good deal was, but that was the sum I paid them.

The bathroom wall was gouged by the removal of wall paper. The vendor skimmed the walls to smooth them out and painted. the kitchen wall was damaged by a drop leaf table. The wall was repaired and painted. The work the vendor completed was neat and fast and durable. He was professional, knowledgable and courteous.

It was okay. They came in and did the job. They were easy to get in touch with and to schedule with.

Everything turned out well. The workers arrived on time, were professional and courteous, and did a good job in a timely fashion. They also cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess behind them.

Ultimately, it went fine. Jerome was very nice but I found it incredibly difficult to get a hold of him to schedule and get the work done. I called no fewer than a half dozen times over a couple of weeks before I ever got a call back. I would have appreciated some better follow up. The paint job for this Big Deal was done well.

Great job; very prompt arrival, thorough job, and great clean up.
