Description of Work: It has been some time since service and I have moved so without searching records I am estimating date and money spent. We were dissatisfied mainly because we purchased a coupon on Angie's list for I believe around $200 -4 hours-work for drywall repair. We spoke on the phone and I described work to be done. Yet, when workers arrived the spokeman said that the job would cost double for what reason I still do not understand. We had bought the coupon, we were selling and needed work done so went ahead. But, it seemed a kind of bate and switch. As I said, I described the work to be done on the phone. There should have been no surprises.

Description of Work: Purchased for my brother as a Christmas present. My brother had a very hard time scheduling the appointment and they were very rude. I ended up asking for a refund.

Description of Work: In general, this company is VERY difficult to reach or talk to someone. I made an appt. after I purchased the deal for a specific date. I work full time and commute via mass transit, so when I make an appt. for a work day, it's well thought out. They called the day of and canceled on me. The guy kept saying "no problem" as if I asked them to reschedule. First time... no big deal, so I let it slide. I had sent them numerous pictures and talked on the phone to the company's principal. When he was again able to come out, I could not be off work, so my housemate let them in to do the work. Although I paid for 4 hours of drywall repair, they came for less than one hour, did a quick plaster repair, and told my housemate something to the effect "you should hire some drywall guys to do a complete repair instead of a plaster fix." Apparently he forgot what he does for a living! After more back and forth, he agreed to come back out to finish the job, but for a $100 additional charge. No thanks. I figure the one hour worth of work is - generously - worth about $50 (a basic handyman could have done that. Heck, I could have done that!). $120 is what I paid, and $50 is what their job is worth. That leaves me with a $70 refund.

Description of Work: I had had a new staircase installed and needed to have several holes in the dry wall repaired where the new railings didn't have anchors in the same places as the old one. Three people came to do the work and finished the work in a flash.

Description of Work: Very nice guys, but their painting work was initially done very quickly and carelessly. We had to ask them to correct things (for example, they had not removed picture hooks from the walls and literally painted around them, leaving tiny unpainted spots underneath!), but they were very willing to do it when we asked. I'm not sorry we hired them as it turned out well with our oversight, but a caution that such might be necessary.

Description of Work: The company replaced and painted a small section of ceiling drywall in my rec room. They were prompt, did a fine job and finished in record time! (4 men did the work in about 3 hours.) I would recommend them to anyone needing this type of repair

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal service for four hours of handyman service. I am out the money and have not received any services. My husband called so many times and was told he would call back to set up a time for some ceiling work. For three months not one call eas returned and no services were provided but they sure took my money and ran. I will never take advantage of a big deal when I have to prepay for services and risk not getting anything. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! If you choose to use them DO NOT prepay for anything. Wait until the work is done if you must go with them.

Description of Work: The did plastering and came back to do some odd jobs and painting. They were better at plastering and heavy work than the fine stuff. J and D--led by the owner is a neat, responsible, efficient and quality handyman service.

Description of Work: J & D Handyman's specialty is drywall. He removed panel and installed drywall and painted. I purchased the paint. The area was recreation room and office. He made good recommendations, installed electrical plugs. HE did an excellent job. i would recommend him Always returned calls in a timely manner.

Description of Work: I needed the ceiling in my bathroom fixed from a leak I had months before. They came on time, I showed them the problem, they got their equipment and got to work. They were fast, good and got the work done before their time was up. Should have got them to do something else, but I had someone else here doing a job, and just didn't want them to get in each others way.

Description of Work: The wall in our son’s bedroom was cracking, with plaster coming loose. I bought an Angie List deal for four hours of wall repair form J & D. They came as scheduled and did a great job! We are very satisfied with the work. We recommend this company.
