As soon as the worker walked in the door, he was all complaints. When I had called to verify the appointment the day before, he had changed the time from noon to 9am and I told them that I could not be there at that time. With it being 15 minutes worth of work, I would have done that myself rather than paid someone to come out to do it. It's only a small powder room and they should have been able to complete the job. They attempted to add multiple fees throughout the job which I was not willing to pay and it is really acceptable that they would even try to do so.

Painters arranged to do the work very quickly, worked very efficiently and arrived exactly when they said they would. They indicated that the discount really equated to the cost of one gallon of paint, but since the owner provided the paint, it didn't seem like any discount was applied. I had never used a Big Deal before and perhaps I did not understand the terms. They arrived on time, cleaned up and did a good job.

THEY SHOWED UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY WOULD PLEASANT AND FRIENDLY. THEY REPAIRED MY BATHROOM CEILING WHICH TOOK 45 MINUTES, THEN THEY WERE OUT THE DOOR. WHEN I SUGGESTED OTHER PROJECTS THEY SAID THEY NEEDED OTHER MATERIALS THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE (EDGING FOR DRYWALL). (I'M 5 MINUTES FROM HOME DEPOT). THE CEILING THAT THEY REPAIRED LOOKS GOOD. BUT - THEY WERE HERE 45 MINUTES.

The holes in plaster were completed.

Other than having to schedule a month in advance, everything was optimum. They arrived when they said they would, gave accurate advice about how to cover a single wall that already had dark paint (using the built-in primer for the Sherman Williams paint), did high quality work on the walls and trim, and were personable, professional, and friendly.

I purchased this service in the winter. They could have been more responsive - I had to contact them several times to make an appointment and when I had to cancel and offered and tentative altertnative date I never heard from them. It is partly my fault as I could have been more forceful in getting the work scheduled but think that they could have shown more initiative as well. But I am satisfied with the work that was done.

Overall.................if it wasn't for the drywall repair, it would have been a waste of time and money.

Did good work, even noticed some areas to fix that I missed. Didn't use all of the 2 hours and offered to return when house was to be painted, and would need additional plastering.

I take responsibility for the fact that I was not terribly satisfied. Before hiring this firm, I should have made sure that they had installed a lot of doorknobs. ("Doctor, how many liver transplants have you done recently?"). I had simply mentioned when setting up the appointment that I wanted to make sure that whoever came knew how to do what I needed done. These men were on time and very personable; I liked them and would like to use them again though probably will not. However, the equivalent of four hours for this job seems like a great deal of time. I had expected time left over for a couple of other tasks. That did not happen. Moreover, they were not able to finish installation, telling me that the components of one doorknob did not fit together. If I got it replaced, I was told, they would return and install it. I took the piece back to the hardware store and staff had no idea what the problem could be, since these were standard components, and they saw nothing wrong with them. I contacted another handyman service, and the item was properly installed. 5/6 of the job was done in a satisfactory manner, albeit taking longer than I think it should have. I did not stand and observe the men, but it seemed to me that one of them did most of the work. (I was told the other was a "drywall person." Sadly, I had no drywall to deal with.) Had they both worked on installation, I suspect we would have accomplished more, although the "problem" doorknob probably still would not have been installed. I recall checking the reviews, and I believe they were very favorable or I would not have signed on. Mine may well be an atypical experience. As I indicated, I should have ensured that doorknobs would not be a problem.

It all went well. They were punctual and efficient. I would happily hire them again.

Flawless repair of the ceiling where there had been a leak

They arrived promptly, were personable, neat, efficient and did a very good job. Even went the extra mile to look at the exterior of my house to see why the paint was always peeling in one certain area. Found a small hole in the brick mortor and filled it at no extra charge. The next time i need the interior of my house painted or handyman jobs around the house done I wouldn't hesitate to call J&D Handyman Services.

They were prompt, courteous, respectful of the space and super clean. Everything is smooth and seamless. You cannot tell that a repair was done. Awesom job!

The work that J&D performed at my home was outstanding. They completed the work within the time they promised, the quality was high, and for a very affordable price, and they cleaned up the job site perfectly upon departure. The only advice I have is a customer would need to reserve their services early and be flexible about the deadline they have as the guys at J&D were clearly inundated with requests for their services and it took a while for us to nail down a date. While some miight see that as a drwaback, I saw that as a testament of their hard work and the demand shown for their workmanship. So, thumbs up all around for J&D. I would hire them again.

I asked if they knew how to paint with Ralph Lauren Candle Light paint, and was told yes, they had done it before. When they came out and started to paint, it was obvious they did not know how to do it. I told them that was not right and they kept telling me I had to wait until it dried. When it dried it looked turable. I had to repaint it. For strait painting they may be ok, but for any kind of special paint, no. Edith

They were professional, polite, clean, and respectful of our home. They were responsive to different spots and there was no hesitation. It was great overall experience. Jerome was a professional guy and I plan on using them again.

Overall, when they came to do the work, it was done professionally, it was a good job, and there were no problems.14

They arrived right on time with a crew of 3. They were fast and cleaned up well. It was difficult since they did not come out and do an on site estimate just over the phone so we had to run out and get more paint and the cost was a bit more then expected. For the most part the painting was very good, only a few drips found in one room, the other was very good. Again they showed up on time and finished when the said they would which is a big surprise and greatly appreciated. Get an in home estimate first but I would recommend them to do more work.

I explained what I needed and they got right to work and completed the job on time. Their drywall work was excellent and only required light sanding after it dried. They did miss one are in a closet.

The technicians arrived on time and completed the work within the allotted time frame. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves, taking all the debris from the job with them. I would definitely use them again, and in fact, had them give me an estimate for a minor renovation job that we are contemplating.

It went great and without a hitch.

I tried to get a hold of them for a long while and got no response. I requested a refund.

They arrive on time and performed the work in a professional manner. The quality of the work was good, however when I requested a return visit to correct a missed area they promised to come back but never did.
