J & D Handyman Service LLC

They were friendly and on time. They reversed the hot and cold water lines. I had a plumber in to fix toilets and I asked him to switch them. He opened the cabinet and there was a pile of bubbles from when he had washed his hands! They didn't completely attach the drain pipe! They skipped a screw. Upon installation of a new floor, the installers discovered J&D had glued the vanity top to the wall so it can't be moved without wall damage.

2 men arrived on time. The worked quietly, efficiently and cleanly. The walls were spackled where needed and I only needed to do a small amount of sanding before painting. They finished a bit early and took a look at another room that was partially stripped. The walls were in bad shape and they gave me some suggestions. Everything was cleaned up and carried out.

The workmen were prompt, friendly and capable. Removal of wall paper was done in a timely manner and clean -up was done completely. I will definitely use them again.

The workmen showed up on time, performed the work in a fast and professional manner. They were sure not to leave a mess which was much appreciated.

Seemed good initially in fixing hole in drywall. But then could not get them to come out to paint after drying per agreement. Ended up having to bring in another contractor.

Prompt but didn't complete job in timely fashion. Poor clean up and attention to detail. Good for small stuff that didn't require much supervision or attention to detail.

it went quite well went over the list personally with me and asked exacting questions about how and what I needed done. Things that needed supplies if I didn't have it we made a list and I went and got it.Everything was gone and finished earlier than I excpeted

they were a little hard to get a hold of and a response from. when they came however they were very polite, punctual and quickly did the work.

The job went smoothly. No problem.

Once they got here, it went very well but there were a couple of scheduling problems. Once he got here, he was quick and got a lot done. There was just a little bit of conflict in the beginning because I was a Big Deal and I didn't like that. Other than that I liked everything. The price was good.

Setting up the appointment was a breeze. The guys came in and were professional and pleasant. The covered everything to protect the furniture. The repairs are seamless in the ceiling. You cannot see where the repairs were done. The only slight criticism is that the clean up was really not complete. For the most part they cleaned well but they missed some significant places. Overall an excellent experience.

I hate to be negative, but I was very disappointed with J & D Handyman Service. I didn't have a good experience with them. They painted the interior. They trim work was not painted very well. There were drip spots all over. It was not the best experience. I ended up paying almost as much as I would have paid for real paint professional. He told me it would have to be higher than that because my stairwell would require a lot of hours of work. He charged me more than the Angie's Big Deal price. It was almost three times as much than the Big Deal. The Big Deal said it included painting one room, but he said that was only for a 10 x 10 room. He said a very small bathroom, but that was not specified on the coupon. I think I need to tell my story for other customers out there. I actually took pictures, too. I couldn't believe it. I really couldn't. It was a very sloppy job. He didn't fix any of the problems. I ended up fixing it myself. At the time, I hadn't even checked it yet. They were in a big hurry to leave. So I just gave them the check and off they went. Afterwards, is when I checked and saw what had happened. He did a bad job and really caught me off guard. The coupon only including the one small room was really misleading.

I wasn't that pleased with J & D Handyman Service LLC. The guy from J & D Handyman Service LLC said that he would be able to do what I wanted him to do. He on his own came back thrice to do the job right and said to come back the fourth time and he just didn't. I ended up having big slabs of caulk on my wall molding.

They seemed to have trouble with all of the doors. None of the doors now closes properly. One they hung too low and then had to cut off some of the bottom (because it rubbed against the carpet), which they cracked at the end when they cut it. When closed, there's now a space at the top. One bedroom door only closes with a forceful pull. Our front door closes easier now, but we can't lock it without pulling up h****** the handle first. Even the closet door does not close without a hard shove. They also left wood shavings and a few screws and hinges on the floor. I don't understand it, because we had used them once before a year earlier, and they were great.

Glad to have the wallpaper down.

It was a very good job. There were no problems. They did well.

Mr. Brown came on scheduled and did the repairs. He explained what he had to do and the work was completed quickly. I am very satisfied with his professionalism.

I never used this company. Angie's list refunded my big deal money. This stupid review form does not allow me to check NA for overall satisfaction. This review should not count toward them since I never used them.

It went much quicker than I expected... I did not have enough work set up for the full 4 hours. Next time I will just identify and prepare for everything in my house that needs patching, rather than trying to determine what can reasonably be completed. I know that drywall patch is messy and takes time to dry, so the effort did not include sanding or preparing the wall to paint. Some people may have unreasonable expectations in that area. Sanding and prepping are the real time-consuming efforts in drywall repair!

It was always extremely difficult to get a hold of someone from the beginning. Every time I would call it would go to voicemail and I would have to leave a message. It always took several calls before someone would call me back. When a consultation appointment finally did happen, we agreed what work would be done and we would schedule another time to do it. After several attempts to call and make an appointment, I still have yet to get a return call.

My garbage disposal needed fixed, they changed out door handles for me, did some plumbing repair and also changed a faucet out. They werent' particullarly organized, but they made up for that in the work that they did. I had several things that needed done, and they split them up into two days worht, which was awkward. They came a little late the first day, so they had to come back the second day to complete.

Service not provided. Disappointing experience.

The work was scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM, but the men arrived at 12:05 PM. Three men worked for about 1 1/2 hours on the repairs. They did a good job of repairing most of the areas that I pointed out. The material used for the repairs needed to dry before the walls could be sanded to complete the job. I didn't know that the material used would needs so long to dry in advance. The owner told me that he would return to do the sanding, but I didn't hear from him again. Instead, I did some of the sanding myself and painters did the rest later. The painters told me that they would have preferred to do the repairs/prep work themselves because some of it needed to be redone. In particular, some of the cracks were not done properly (needed tape to cover them).

It went pretty well, The arrived on time and my husband showed them where they dry wall needed to go up. The proceeded to mix the mud, put the dry wall up, screw it into the studs (framing), add tape and put mud over the tape.
