Description of Work: Technician inspected two AC units, cleaned the filters, added smallamount of freon on one unit and advised on life expectancy of both very old units. Gave what I thought was good advice. We will use them again for service and replacement when necessary.

Description of Work: They came right on schedule to check out a malfunctioning valve on my boiler for my baseboard heat. The repair man quickly determined that the valve just needed to replace and showed us how to do it ourselves since it is such an easy job. He saved us time and money and even recommended some good places to find the part.

Description of Work: Discovered water leaking from under furnace. AP Mathews confirmed that the humidifier condensation pipe was clogged. The technician blew the pipe and cleaned up the area surrounding the furnace.

Description of Work: I purchased (via Angie's List) a thermostat that popped up when I searched for a Remote Control Thermostat. What I purchased was not remote controlled. This is essential. I already have a programmable one that works just fine, but really need one that can be controlled remotely (my wife is handicapped and needs to be able to adjust the temp from her bedroom and another room away from the thermostat). A.P. Mathews was very understanding and they are trying to find another way to solve my problem.

Description of Work: APM replaced my a/c unit. They arrived the same day I called them. They checked my system which is 19 years old. They asked me questions like how long I would remain at the house, etc. They gave me options to repair and replace the system. I decided to replace the system since I intend to be at the house for 10+ years. They installed the new system the next morning. Great price and now 3 months later I have had no issues and I have a much more efficient system that will save me on my future energy costs. My goal dealing with any service company is to find one I can trust that wants to earn your business now and in the future. This is my 3rd large project with APM (basement buildout a/c ducts) and (new heat and a/c unit for an addition.).

Rather than deal with the original installer for another temporary fix, I called AP Matthews. They were able to schedule me immediately and found a leak (from the faulty installation) that two other people did not. The technician was thorough and considerate. I have cold air again.

Description of Work: lost my air conditioner on one of the hottest weeks of the year. i called around to the high rankers on angies list, none could come out for 2 or 3 days. i called a.p.mathews on my 4th call. they had an opening that afternoon. my unit was over 16 years old and i was fearing the worst. they sent a young man who was courteous and professional. he found the problem in minutes replaced 2 electrical parts that he had on the truck and was on his way. did his work quickly and efficiently. i had my air back less than 5 hours after making the initial call.

Description of Work: Called on a Friday evening to make an appointment for Monday because the a/c unit wasn't cooling the house like before. No one answered, so I left a message and they called back within an hour. Confirmed an appt for Monday. We had storms in the area that day and they called to let us know the technician would be late because he had to stay put during the worst of it. When Matt came by, he was quick and professional. Our refridgeramt was low, so he filled it up and was on his way. Overall, very pleased.

Description of Work: Paul, the owner called us back on a Saturday within 2 hours and offered to come to check out our AC/Furnace which was making loud noises and putting out little AC. We scheduled (our preference) for Monday. Another company had said that we needed to have an entire new furnace installed immediately. I found AP's name and recommendations on Angie's List and we are very satisfied with his work. He evaluated our problem, advised of us our options and we followed his suggestions which cost about $200. He stated that we would need a new furnace (AC was replaced 3 yrs ago); but it was not necessary now. We will schedule an estimate for this change by late summer. Paul was professional, polite and very knowledgeable about our system. His company number should go on the refrigerator.

Description of Work: Called for service about 10:30AM, and got an answering machine. Representative called back within 10 minutes. I was told a service person would be here between 12 & 2. He got here at 12:30 and quickly isolated problem, made repair and was on his way. great job thank you

Description of Work: An estimator was supposed to come at 2:30 pm today. Thought that was excellent when I made the appointment last Friday because I had a dental appointment this morning and would take the day off and get multiple things done. The estimator never showed up even though my phone call to Davidsonville said he would be there around 4. Even then I missed another appointment I had at 4:30 that I could have done if I wasn't waiting around for the estimator. Now, my work schedule is tight and I have to find time for other appointments I could have made today. They could have called me and said they weren't coming but they didn't. No one ever came----
