. See previous entry. Very good company! Crew was knowledgeable and explained to me what they were doing as they went along and appear to have done a fine job. Highly recommended to anyone else with a similar animal-in-the-attic problem.
Description of Work: A mother raccoon took up residence in my attic, with her three babies. Trappro got her out (never did catch her - she knew how to avoid traps) but they sealed up all Gable vents (with hardware cloth) and gaps under the eaves, with "dripedge". They did get her out (or else she left on her own accord - annoyed by all the activity?) and assured that she couldn't get back in again. So far, so good. No signs of her as of 5/16/2012. They, Trappro, also sealed some possible mouse entry points - this was independent of the raccoon problem but was what I asked (and paid) for. Time will tell on that one.

Initial inquiry with Emily was handled professionally. She took care to make sure she quoted accurately. Scheduling was quick and easy and the two technicians that came exceeded my expectations. They ensured that the accumulation of nesting throughout the bathroom vent was eliminated; and scrub brushed the brick exterior to remove the bird droppings. Very pleased with the service received today; and relieved to have those birds looking elsewhere to nest their young! I am also satisfied that the price charged was commensurate with the work performed and have no regrets with the money spent.

A raccoon was nesting in the attic. Trappro was one of several companies we contacted; we selected them because of their responsiveness to our questions. Their technician examined the attic and roof and recommended placing the trap outside rather than in the attic. The raccoon was trapped a couple of days later. They came immediately to take the animal away.

There are ground hogs that are living under my shed. They gave me an estimate of $350 to come out and set the trap. Then they wanted to charge $25 per animal and $35 per every day that they had to come out. I throught this was very expensive, so I took control of the issue on my own.

A TRAP PRO - Pest Control/Exterminating - Animal Removal They had the best estimate, and came in a couple days. The squirrels ate through our air conditioning wires. They came out and verified that we did have squirrels in the attic. Set up the traps outside, so we didn't have to be there everyday. They showed up everyday for 5 or 6 days to check the traps. After they caught the squirrels, they plugged up all the holes. They were great, timely, and professional. They were great to work with. I even got to see one of the squirrels.
Description of Work: A TRAP PRO - Pest Control/Exterminating - Animal Removal They caught 2 squirrels out of our attic for us.(male and female). It was a month ago, it was around $1500.

The total price was about $550. They were very humane and very prompt. They came out right away. They set the traps and checked them everyday to make sure no animals were left in the trap. We did finally catch one and apparently that was the only one left. Then they came out and did the repairs. They did a very good job on the repairs.
Description of Work: We used the services of A Trap Pro about two months ago since we had some raccoons living in our attic. We also had some repairs done to close the holes.

They came out and said the problem was squirrles. They put up squirrel traps and said the problem may also be squirrels crossing over from my neighbors house. As recommended, I paid them to install the squirrel traps. One year went by and I started hearing something in the attic again and then my AC went down. I called an AC repairman and they came by and said rodents had done major damage to my AC system. He said it looked like rats ! I then called TRAP PRO for a return visit they said the problem was now that the squirrels were crossing over from my neighbors house. Steve the inspecting technician said that as we spoke he saw animals entering and exiting my neighbors roof. At this point I no longer trusted trap pro and I called a contractor to come and look at reparing holes in my roof and fourth floor. The contractor determined that the front eves and the back of the house were completely open. Also, they found dead rats in in my attic. I called Trap pro to tell them all this and the office manager said they only guaranateed the work they performed and since their work did not fail I was not entitled to any money back. However, they offered me a 7% discount on the $350 prevention work for squirrel cross over even though the problem was rats. Also, I called Orkin and they came out and laid rat traps. Orkin further confirmed that the problem was rats. I called Trap Pro over two weeks ago and they said they would send someone out to investigate. However, they would not refund my money under any circumstances. They never called me back to schedule the visit . I have over $20,000 of damage caused by Trap pro's failure to distinguish between squirrels and rats.
Description of Work: I contacted Trap Pro to have animal exclusion done on my 4th floor. They came out and said the problem was squirrels. They put up squirrel traps and said the problem may also be cross over.

Response from Trappro
Original date of complaint was 6-10-10. At that time our inspection was determined to find squirrels entering right front cornice. We set a counter trap (one way door) to allow the squirrels to exit but not return. We also noted at that time that it appeared to be a cross-over issue with the neighboring unit. The member agreed to the recommendation of repairs at that time to resecure the cornice across entire front to seal various gaps between slate and mouldings. His total invoice for trapping and repairs were $475.00. The member contacted us on May 27,2011, almost a year later stating that he was having squirrel activity again. At that time we re-inspected our repairs, which were intake not allowing the squirrels to enter thru our repairs. At the time of the second inspection, a squirrel was seen coming from the neighboring unit, which would mean that there is a cross-over issue between the member’s address and his neighboring address that connects to the same firewall. We recommend that the inside firewall be sealed to prevent them from crossing over into the member’s unit and setting traps inside the attic space. The member then contacted our office stating that he another contractor inspect and found that there was rats that had chewed his wiring in attic causing his air conditioner unit to fail. He claims that our inspections were not correct and demanded a full refund. The member had signed our paper work acknowledging our tems of service which states that Trappro will only guarantee the repairs completed by Trappro against wildlife re-entry. Our repairs were intact. It also states on the signed paperwork that Trappro can only seal visible holes at the time of inspection. On the first inspection no holes were seen other than the Cornice which we repaired. We offered a discount of 7% to seal the area inside the crawlspace area to eliminate the cross over issue, as well as set traps inside the attic crawlspace. We were not charging for the traps inside the crawlspace which is a fee of $375.00. He was given an estimate for $350.00 to seal the area of concern at the time of the re-inspection. We also recommended that we meet with him to discuss all his concerns. At that time the member refused to allow us on to inspect stating that we had scammed him out of $475.00, that he did not trust our creditability and that he wanted a full refund or he would contact his attorney. This conversation took place on 6-20-2011. Wendy Lee, office manager

The technician, George, arrived on time, went straight to work removing the pests that had inhabited my vents, cleaned the vent ducts out with a blower and powered brush. He repaired two vents and replaced a third. He installed guard baskets on three vents. He used drop cloths inside and cleaned up all the debris inside and outside. He did an outstanding job, quickly, efficiently and throughly at a very reasonable price.

I think the price was well worth it. Their customer service is superb from the people who talked with me on the phone to the technicians who did the work. For each of my two appointments, the work to be done was fully explained to me prior to the start of work. The overall experience was extremely good. I highly recommend TrapPro for anyone who needs to have wanted (animal) guests in their house. For reference, the reference (proposal) number on the invoice for the work done by TrapPro is 11-0508 dated 5/5/11.
Description of Work: I called because I had a problem with squirrels in my attic. They set up an appointment for a few days later to first trap the squirrel or squirrels in the attic. They checked the traps each day. Once the squirrel had been trapped and removed, they repaired the entry hole the squirrels had made. They recommended some further repairs that I readily agreed to because I already knew I needed them. For both appointments, the technicians arrived at the promised times and were very professional.

The trapper Vince was very good. He set the trap. The 1st one was faulty; the 2nd one worked. But he found that we had a litter of 4 remaining in the wall. He located them and cut a hole in the drywall and removed them and reunited them with the mother. That cost $375. The repair of the roof cost $125.
Description of Work: We heard animals in our attic. They diagnosed the problem as raccoons and gave us an estimate for trapping and for repair of the eave where the raccoon had made an entrance hole.

They were clear on the cost on the phone and set a technician out the day after I called him. It was raining and he was careful about tracking dirt into the house (he didn't). He did an inspection in the attic and basement and made recommendations for the potential work that could be done.
Description of Work: A technician came out to see if we had an animal in the attic. (We previously used Trappro when we had a raccoon in the attic. They were able to rid our home of the raccoon and to seal the potential entries for larger animals.) The only evidence of potential animals this time was mice. They set some traps and provided an estimate of work to be done to seal potential entries for mice. They will be coming later this month to do the work.

I have had problems with bats in the attic as well as having them find their way from the attic into my screened in porch. I had another pest control company come out about two years ago but they could never find entry points -- only evidence they had been in the attic. This problem didn't go away and in fact, only got worse. It was very hard finding a company (reputable) to come to my area in Southern Md. After Trappro came to inspect and do the work they determined it was not only bats but flying squirrels too. Work comes with 5 year guarantee. So far everything has been quiet and I'm sleeping more comfortably. Yeah!!!
Description of Work: entire roofline of house had to be sealed to ensure all entry points closed.

They did what they had promised, very thorough in making sure all access points were blocked. They were on time, courteous and professional. Some the work I elected to do myself, after they had identified the problem area, and they were fine with that. This is a good company that I will use if future needs arise.
Description of Work: We had mice nest in the attic over the winter. They weren't up there during the heat of the summer, but not wanting a repeat experience, I called Trappro based on Angie's List reports. They had given me an estimate when the problem first occurred, and they honored that estimate a number of months later. They sealed outside entrance points - roof, garage, etc.

The two other trapping/pest control Reps came by and spent most of their time checking the attic. They also didn't find evidence of anything except mice. The last one, with 21 years of trapping experience, said that there was no way it could have been a raccoon. He showed me the damage to the attic fan screen and said a raccoon would have done much more damage. For example, the fan blades, which are made of thin aluminum, should have been bent and mangled. They were in perfect condition. He decided that a squirrel was coming in and out periodically, but wasn't living there. He suggested putting in a strong screen, setting mouse bait and traps, and sealing any obvious points of entry. He agreed that the utility line entrance found by the TrapPro Rep was the most likely point of entry for mice. His estimate: $250 to do the initial work, and a $55 maintenance visit every 2-3 months that would also cover all insect species except termites. (We have had occasional ant problems.) We can discontinue the maintenance visits at any time. We decided to go with him, and I feel quite certain that this will take care of the problem for far less than the $2100 construction project recommended by TrapPro. His service technicians have since come by and treated for mice, squirrels and insects. No live animals were present at the time of their service visit, and the new attic fan screen should keep any attic-loving squirrels out of our house.
Description of Work: Called TrapPro after hearing what sounded like a squirrel in our walls on several occasions. Their Rep called my cell phone to say he had completed another job and would like to come by early. I told him I couldn't be there until the appointed time. He asked if he could look around. I said yes. When I arrived, his ladder was up to the roof, and he had already performed an outdoor inspection. He determined that a raccoon had been entering my attic through the disconnected attic fan vent. This diagnosis was based on the damage to the screen above the fan which had been "pushed in", as well as the fact that the next door neighbor has obvious evidence of raccoons entering the attic through the side gable vents. He also pointed out an entrance point for mice along a utility line under our back porch. Once inside, he checked the attic and only found evidence of mouse presence (but no live mice or squirrels). He found no evidence of any other animals, including raccoons, but still wanted to treat and trap them. I also showed him where we have previously trapped mice in the garage. He wrote up an estimate for service and repairs including, trapping raccoons: $375, replace the attic fan screen: $150, replace the attic fan (if desired): $350, screen the 3 gable vents: $225, install 50' of drip edge along the roof-line: $350, seal utility lines, siding corners and crawlspaces: $325, seal garage base moldings and door frames: $250. Total estimate: $2,100. He was very professional and sounded very knowledgeable, but I really didn't want to spend that much to get rid of what I thought was a squirrel or a mouse. In addition, he charged me (and I stupidly paid) a $75 inspection fee. I had two more inspectors coming, but he was the first, so I figured that it must be standard price for a visit. After the other two Reps came and didn't charge for their estimates, I called TrapPro and told them that I would like to cancel my $75 payment since I had not pre-authorized a full paid inspection or any work. The manager reluctantly agreed to cancel the charge. When we received their printed estimate in the mail, it stated: "Homeowner refuses to pay Inspection Fee."

I had some noises in our attic and they came out to set up two traps. When he came back to inspect the traps, no animals were caught. He believed the animals escaped the same way they came in. To prevent future animals, he recommended the installation of screen vents. After they were installed, I haven't heard a peep since. They were very punctual about their appointment time, which was very nice because I was very busy at that time. They were very pleasant and listened to my needs. They also explained their end of the service so I could understand what was going on. They also sealed wiring inside a gable and in my garage to help prevent future animals. The A/C lines on the back of my house and the flashing on my chimney were also sealed.

Great (see above). While they were expensive, they were able to solve the problem which is what you ultimately want.
Description of Work: We have had a squirrel problem for years in our attic. I finally had had enough in 2009 and decided to get it taken care of. Initially we hired WH Freeman Pest Control which we found on Angies list. While he was able to solve the problem temporarily, two months later I heard sounds again. We had him come out two times and while he claimed he had fixed the problem the noises kept coming back. finally after having grown completely frustrated with that company I looked up another company and decided to go with Trappro. They were almost double what WH Freeman cost me but I was so ed up with the solution that I paid it. There service included trapping first and then repairs that were guarenteed for 5 years (as opposed to WH Freeman's three months). I told myself I would not write a review until it had been several months and I was assured that the problem had been fixed. Well it is now July (about four months later) and I am happy to say that I have not had/heard a single squirrel in the attic. they used a different approach from the other company (trapping outside the attic/roof rather than inside) and actually was able to catch a pregnant female which may have been part of the problem. They sealed a total of three openings and I have been squirrel free since....

Much to our dismay, we started hearing scratching noises from our roof/attic. We called Trappro to come out and perform an inspection and let us know "who" was up there. They came out and thoroughly inspected the attic - finding that squirrels had indeed set up house. They put a temporary patch and trapping cage on the hole that the squirrels had chewed. They also inspected the outside of the entire house for possible entrances, recommended repairs to keep the critters out, and provided an esimate for that work. They came back daily for several days to remove the squirrels they trapped. We had them come back to do some screening of weep holes, dryer vents, etc. to keep the squirrels out. We were extremely pleased with the customer service we received from everyone we dealt with. I will definitely call them if we ever need their services again!

With the rude realization that there was something alive in my attic and trying to get my attention by jostling my kitchen ceiling fan, I quick found these guys on the internet. Knowing nothing about any of this but not wanting to spend much time shopping exterminators, I hired them to find out what it was, trap it and then make repairs. They investigated and discovered a snake skin, mouse droppings and evidence of a raccoon, along with a large busted gable vent not easily seen from the ground. They trapped the raccoon and then came back to seal each and every open crevice on my home. They did a great job. The repairs were done and I could easily see that they had been done well. I didn't need to be around when they did any of it which I appreciated.

I heard noises in the attic and thought it was a raccoon, but I usually only heard it during the night when it was raining. I had roofers out to give an estimate, but they did not remove animals. Steve came out and said there were flying squirrels in the attic. Then TrapPro installed the drip edge and counter-traps to let the squirrels out, but not back in. Since I had been hearing them since last year, the insulation needed to be removed due to lots of debris from the squirrels. TrapPro was great - professional, reasonable and they take care of it all - they fix the problems caused by the animals. The other estimates were higher for installing drip edge that didn't include removing the animals. I highly recommend them. Everyone I worked with was friendly and provided helpful information.
Description of Work: TrapPro installed drip edge around entire house and counter-traps on the roof of the house and garage. They also sealed up holes around the HVAC hoses. They removed and replaced the attic insulation on a second trip

I was pleased with the estimator. He was more or less on time. He bravely climbed onto the roof, even though there was an inch or so of snow of the ground. I was happy with his explanation of the estimate, which involved trapping and removal plus $380 of repairs: a heavy-duty chimney cap and sealing below the roof gutters. The blizzard of February prevented them from starting the trapping right away. In the end, it dragged on for a couple weeks. I feel about their performance during the storm the way I felt about the city plowing: I think I was understanding about the difficulties, but after each round of the storm, I felt they should have accomplished things at least a day earlier. They were also pretty bad about keeping me informed of what was happening with my job (again, even several days after the snow had stopped falling). When the trapping was finally finished, I decided to hire them to do the proposed repairs. I had some questions about how sealing below the gutters would affect the ventilation in my attic. I plan to install an attic fan, but, meanwhile, the only ventilation is "accidental." I talked to the secretary several times, and she said she would ask some one to contact me. No one did for a couple weeks. Finally, the some one did call me, and I thought he was quite useless in answering my questions. Anyway, I decided to just do the repairs. I scheduled them for a Tuesday morning, and said that I had to leave for work by the early afternoon. The secretary told the repair crew they should come to my house first thing in the morning. They totally ingnored her. She asked them to call me, and they didn't. They made no special effort to work me into their schedule. They ultimately told the secretary they could reach me by 3:00 or so. I had to leave for work, and simply gave up on hiring them. Their handling of this situation wasted my time, and struck me as really unprofessional.
Description of Work: An employee came on 1/30 to give an estimate to remove squirrells from my attic and perform repairs to block future access. The trapping and removal was done (as far as I know). The repairs were not done (see below).
