Services we offer
Trapping & removal - raccoon, squirrels, bats, birds, fox, beaver, ground hogs, skunks, opossum, rats, mice & snakes. Repairs work to stop further re-entry. Attic insulation removal and reinsulating.
We found Trap Pro on Angie's list following the discovery of multiple squirrels in a space between our front facade and the roofline. While we were unsure if they squirrels had entered the attic space we knew that we had to get rid of them and patch up the roofline (small 6 x 4 inch hole). Trap Pro set out the traps, checked them every day and within a few days they had caught at least one of them outside the roof area and temporarily patched the hole until our roofer could finish up the job. We were more than pleased especially as they explained what they were doing, what we could do to avoid this in the future, and of course, we knew they would make sure the squirrel was released unharmed. They also recommended that we put screens on our chimney to prevent birds and squirrels from going down there. We thought that was reasonable but alas - less than two weeks later before we were going to make an appointment, we discovered a small starling peeking out as us from the crawlspace between our basement wall (brick) and the floor joists (100 year old). The bird could not get out so the question we had was "how did he get in" as well as the "and how do we get him out." It turns out that the bird somehow had come down our chimney and entered into the flue for our boiler ?. when Trap Pro came out (very quick response) they were able to open up the flue and get the starling pretty quickly. As they had our earlier estimate they also installed the screens on the chimney flue's right away. Of course now we have to find out where the gap is on the "inside" of the house but that's not for Trap Pro. Bottom line is they made this pain free, swift, and took away a lot of concerns for a reasonable fee. We hope not to have to call them again but if we have a problem requiring animal removal -- they are now in our contacts list on the phone !
Description of Work: Multiple Visits: 1. Set traps for squirrels that had entered roof and 2. Remove bird from boiler ducts in basement

They came out quickly and did a good job. They also gave me a guarantee in case the bats come back. I liked their work. They cleaned up well after as if they were never there.
Description of Work: They set up an enclosure to help us get rid of bats. They set up a trap and sealed the area off. So far it has been good. They informed it is best to keep the enclosure up until spring.

They were very professional and even called to let me know that they were on the way , before they arrived. I needed that call because I was at my moms taking care of her and it enabled me to run home and let them onto the property. They checked the roof and saw what appeared to be a few entrance points for possible squirrels. They set up traps and came back every few days to see if they caught anything (they didnt and I havenet heard any noise up there since). I only marked them down because the estimate that my lanlord recieved to fix some of the holes seemed VERY high. I do not know what the average cost is for plugging holes/etc in roofs, the estimate was about 6000.00 and that just seemed high to me. The staff however was EXCELLENT and I would use them again.
Description of Work: After I heard noises in my attice, They came out and checked for possible squirrel/racoons in my attic.

Trappro returned my call the same day. Scheduled an inspection for the next day. Performed their recommended work 2 days later. I felt their price, especially the $225 inspection fee was high. This fee didn't count towards the services they recommended to correct the problem. The work they performed was very good. It will take a little while before we will know if their solutions have fully taken care of the problem. The workers were neat and professional. Explained what they had done and reviewed all the work with me.

Well, the squirrels were back by the time we got home from Florida in April. They didn't come in through the air vents that were covered with wire but chewed a large hole in the house. Trappro did come back out for free even though they said they weren't obligated. They trapped more squirrels and put up more wire. We'll see what happens when winter comes..... My main objection to Trappro is that they are always trying to sell you more work and it is always expensive. I suggest you turn them down. I talked to them about cleaning out the nests in the attic but they wouldn't even entertain the idea.

Excellent and compassionate service. Company provided quotes for basic service as well multiple levels of repair. We agreed on the mid-level and they provided the services in a timely and efficient manner. Up to now, the problem has been resolved.
Description of Work: Set traps for animals, returned to retrieve them and carry the animals away to a more suitable location. I also contracted the company to seal all of the areas on the roof where the animals might gain entry and install guards to prevent re-entry.

Trappro came out and looked in the attic as well as the exterior of the gable vent. Based on the pattern of disturbance in the attic insulation and the appearance of the damage to the gable vent, we were told that the animal was was a raccoon. The trapper was both knowledgeable and professional, thoroughly explaining both raccoon incursions and the steps recommended to remove the animal and prevent future intrusions. Trappro set up a trap on the top of the roof, baited with cat food. They drove by every day, checking the trap. In the end, I don't think they caught anything. As far as my wife and I know, the raccoon never returned. We certainly didn't hear it again after the first day, nor did we ever see an animal in the trap. After removing the trap, Trappro returned, bent the gable vent back into shape, and screened over the gable vents at both ends of the house in order to prevent anything else from getting into our attic. So far, it seems to have worked. We haven't heard anything else scurrying above the ceiling, nor is there any sign of damage to the screening.
Description of Work: My wife and I heard something scurrying in the attic above us. It looked like whatever it was had bent open the gable vent at one end of the house. Trappro identified the animal as a raccoon from the way it got in and the tracks it left in the blown in insulation in the attic. They set up a trap and later put screening over the gable vents to prevent re-entry.

The technician arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the pest(s) were raccoons. There were two possible entry points under the apex of an interlocking roof. The technician inspected the attic and said the raccoons have been in and out for years; the blown in insulation had trails indicating their presence. The technician set a one way trap at one entrance, and installed a screen to prevent entry/exit at the second entrance, and sprayed a "male scent" in the attic to cause a female raccoon to exit. After a week, there was no evidence of activity at the trap, but I still heard noises in the attic. The technician then found the raccoon had literally pulled a section of the screened area off (from the non-trapped entrance), and entered and exited at will. A new trap was set and a female raccoon was trapped that same evening. No noticeable activity for a few days, but there were still noises. We assumed there were babies left behind. It was two weeks before I could arrange a mutually agreeable appointment for the trapper to return to remove the babies. Due to the construction of the house, we initially thought the babies were in an inaccessible section of the attic, and they may have to cut a section out of the ceiling for access. When the second crew arrived, theyentered the attic to assess alternatives. It turned out there were two babies, and they were still alive and in an accessible area. The trapper simply lifted them out and took them away for relocation. I was totally impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the four individuals I dealt with. I also contracted to have the entrances permanently sealed. They performed this work, and the seals appears as if they were always part of the house. The technicians inspected other areas to ensure there were no other entry points. I was entirely satisfied with their services, and highly recommend them. I selected the company from Angie?s List, and used an online coupon.

Using Trappro could not have been easier. Called on Wednesday, got an appointment for 8 - 11 the following Monday. Tech showed up at 9:30, took about an hour, did a great job. Explained what he was doing to my wife, and told her the problems he encountered with the clearing of the oddly sized vent (ahh, the joys of owning a flipped house!). Overall, he took a reasonable amount of time, charged less than we were quoted, and gave us an estimate on what do if we wanted to fix/replace the vent, as well as things to look for in the future relating to birds getting into the house. We heartily recommend Trappro!
Description of Work: Technician came out to our house and removed a birds nest from a vent running from a bathroom to the outside of the house, on an upper floor. Cleared nest related debris in the vent, installed an internal screen and replaced external screen that had been off the vent for an indeterminate amount of time.

Yes it was successful, the raccoon was removed and it took its offspring with it. I cannot promise that everyone will succeed at this. I did take a big risk that the raccoon would resume residence, and could not be trapped again.
Description of Work: A female raccoon had taken up residence in my home and its walls, giving birth to young. TrapPro came out, inspected the house, identified how the raccoon had entered the house and the damage it had done. I hired them to trap the raccoon, which they did within a day. Once the raccoon was trapped, we could hear the babies in the walls. The trapper offered me a choice. Based on his experience, he believed that spraying an expellarant of male raccoon around the opening and in my attic would cause the mother raccoon to remove her babies and depart my home. Otherwise he would need to cut holes in the walls to get the babies out. I trusted his advise and it worked! After being released the mother raccoon retrieved its offspring and vacated my residence. The trapper then closed off the opening to preven re-entry. They have followed up with several recommendations to complete the repairs, fixing the damage, and sealing off other possible entry points. I am checking other services that might perform the repairs for less. They do offer a 10 year warranty on animal re-entry, however it does not cover the most likely results of storm damage. So I need to think about its overall value.

They didn’t charge me anything because they didn’t find anything but they told me there would be a service fee, which would be charged with the overall bill, but I think they didn’t charge me anything in the end of what I could remember at least. The technician that came out was really good, he wrote down a list of things that needed to be done, he also went off the side, looked at the roof and made recommendations on how to prevent animals from coming in. He gave me a detailed fill up on what actually needed to be done. The price that he estimated was good.

A couple of months ago a keen-eyed bird spotted an opening where the siding meets the chimney on one side of our house. It decided to investigate then determined that a nest underneath the siding would be an ideal place to build a new home. Construction began, insulation began spotting the ground, a bulge formed under the siding, and the small opening between the siding and the chimney grew. Torn between trying to wait out the arrival and departure of the babies and concern over what problems leaving open that widening gap might bring, about a month and a half after construction began, I began looking for a professional to relocate the new neighbors. Trappro was the fourth business contacted. The phone was answered fairly promptly. I explained the situation and asked whether that was something with which Trappro could assist. The lady on the phone laughed "I have no idea", a response which, in my mild state of anxiety, sounded like, "don't know, could care less, lady". I was told someone could come out to inspect the house for a fee of $75. I asked whether that cost would go towards any work done and she responded that that usually was not the case. No further information was offered and I was out of questions (not to mention seriously bummed out) so I thanked her and hung up. If there was a ranking between Fair and Bad I would choose it; my questions were answered - a little casually, but answered. A suggested alternative (e.g., try XXX Service) would've been nice but again, wasn't obligatory on their part.
Description of Work: Short, disappointingly unproductive phone conversation to determine whether removal of a bird nest beneath house siding was within Trappro's services.

Trappro was perfect. They were thorough and professional. The staff were all friendly and knowledgable. Between the end of trapping and the installation of the trim, we had other work done on the house, and although I didn't know it at the time, that work obviated the need for part of what Trappro was going to do. The Trappro staff noticed it when they were doing the installation, and they struck that item from my bill immediately. Since I don't get up on my roof, I wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't been so honest.
Description of Work: We had squirrels in our flat-topped roof (between roof and 2nd-floor ceiling -- no attic space). For $350, Trappro trapped and removed the animals humanely, and kept the traps up long enough (with frequent checks by their staff) to make sure all the animals were out, and they used a couple of different techniques to make sure there was no more traffic in and out of the roof. Then for another $350 they installed new trim (on the back of our house) that will ensure no animals can get in again.

They came when they said they would, did exactly what they said they would do and kept me informed.
Description of Work: Raccoons were found living in a chimney. The technician went up on the roof, set a trap and also set traps in other areas where there were signs of activity. One raccoon was trapped and removed and the other left the chimney and was unable to get back in. The flue was capped to prevent future problems. The technicians were professional, explained the process, and kept me informed. I will definitely use the company again and refer friends and neighbors to them.

Response from Trappro
Trappro operates Monday thru Friday. Our technicians work approx. 12-15 hours a day sometimes more since we operate on a 24 hour emergency after hours. On Saturday and Sundays we will run emergency calls only. Emergencies consist of the animal inside the living structure such as living room, dining room etc…..Our normal business hours are Monday Thru Friday 8am through 5pm. We do not request our technicians to work on the weekends, it’s a volunteer bases only and when they volunteer, these spots are filled very fast. We offer 3 hour time windows for our appointments, and at times can even provide a half hour notice upon arrival.

It was very neatly and cautiously completed.
Description of Work: Heard a noise in my wall where a wire enters my home and birds had previously nested. Saw that the cover to the opening had broken off after many years. Called Trappro and had a very kind young man come to the rescue. I explained on the phone that my vinyl siding was very old and brittle and cracked easily , that I had no spare pieces, and that whoever came would have to be very careful with their ladder. Mr. Click carefully checked the opening to see if any birds were presently there, then sealed the opening very carefully and neatly.

Great! They came out, went on the roof, went thru house and garage. They installed traps on the roof to trap and keep out squirrels, etc. They came back and picked up the traps. They also filled up holes with concrete where mice could've been getting in from the garage. They identified all the holes and spaces where mice could get in. They were informative and thorough as well as extremely responsive. When they came back to fill up the concrete holes, I noticed later, they had not done several of the holes. I called and they sent the supervisor out quickly and all the holes were filled immediately. Great service and very knowledgeable!

The inspection and estimate services went well. I will call the company again if we continue experiencing the problem.
Description of Work: My husband and I heard "critters" in the attic on Wednesday and Thursday and called the company on Friday for help. The woman who answered the phone was very courteous and knew everything you need to know about critters! She sent over someone today (Monday) to inspect the house. However, since calling them on Friday, we hadn't heard any more noises in the attic. The Technician who came was courteous, clean (put down drop cloths and wore covers on his shoes when he entered), and knowledgable. He searched the entire house from top to bottom, finding evidence of creatures for which he provided some recommendations and an estimate for future work. Since my husband is handy, we will probably do the work involving blocking entrances, etc. ourselves, but will then call the company back to trap and remove the animals.

In April of 2012, I hired Trappro for the removal of raccons from my attic. The rep came out, set the traps, and placed a temporary cover over the access to the attic (rotted facia board). then they periodically checked the traps throughout the week and once they noticed that the temporary door was not tampered with, they placed a wire mesh over the access. I ultimately had to get the facia board fixed, but I was happy with the work performed.
