+ 0 moreTwo electricians arrived at 7:30am right on time, walked through the problem to assess the situation, quickly assessed the root of the problem, repaired it promptly and verified everything was working properly. They were professional, courteous and knowledgeable of the home-types in the Bowie area. We have used the company several times for ceiling fans and tract lighting fixtures. Their prices are fair and you cannot beat the professionalism they bring to the site. We will definitely and only use this company again.
Description of Work: We had a breaker keep tripping after a light fixture replacement, one whole quadrant of our house was without power. The staff arrived, walked through what was impacted, listened to the sequence of events, zeroed in on the problem, and repaired. Turns out my husband wasn't at fault replacing the fixture, the original wiring was wired incorrectly. They were able to repair quickly and we have lights again!

+ -1 moreI sent an email request for service on Saturday evening and within an hour had an email back from Rob indicating that he would call soon. He called approximately 20 minutes later. After confirming that the situation would be ok for two days and was not an emergency, he scheduled the appointment for 9:00am on Monday morning. Two electricians arrived at 8:40am and quickly assessed the breaker, replaced the part and stayed until we verified that everything was working properly. I would definitely use this company again. While based in Crofton, most of their electricians live in Bowie and are very familiar with the properties.

+ 0 moreHe was professional and really friendly. He knew the architecture of the home I live in because he is very familiar with the area. He knew how the wiring was going to work and how it's going to look, so he kept his work to a minimum and cut a minimal number of holes to get the work done. He did exactly the way I wanted it. I had bought two dimmer switches for him to install and one of them was not working and he gave me one of his for free. He was very neat about cutting holes in the wall and they left the pieces right there so that I can do the repair work easily.
Description of Work: I have used Professional Electric Inc for under-cabinet lighting. He moved the light switch to accommodate more cabinets and then he ran three separate lines from the switch to the location where the other under-cabinet lighting would be installed. He also installed couple of dimmer switches.

+ 0 moreI sent an email to Professional Electric on Sunday August 4th and within one hour received an email reply and then a follow up phone call to set up the installation for 10 August at 0715. The workers showed up exactly on time and installed the attic fan while fighting off the rain. They were finished within an hour, showed me that it was working properly, cleaned up and showed me the work from the outside as well. Overall they did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them! Very professional, courteous and a great price.

+ -1 moreThey arrived about 10 min late. They were very pleasant. They used drop cloths where possible. They cleaned up and everything was explained in detail, including the price breakdown. They finished the work in about 3 hours. They had to cut in our closet, ceiling in the living room and ran the wire across to the breaker box in the basement. They did a neat job.

+ 0 moreI called them yesterday and set up an appointment. Two electricians came today, on time, calling ahead as I wished. One of them got to work on the light switch in the master bath and fixed it quickly. Re-activating the light switch in the guest bedroom was more of a challenge -- the previously ownder had it rewired for some reason or another, and it was not clear just which plug the switch control. They traced it out -- at one point going up to the attic -- and fixed the problem. The two electrician each were in my home for an hour. They were prodessional and polite. They charged $145 for the work, which I consider to be quite reasonable. I will definitely call them the next time I need an electrician.
Description of Work: Fix a malfunctioning light switch in the master bathroom; get a wall switch to turn on a plug in the guest room.

+ 0 moreI needed a number of electrical jobs done in my house. Rob, the scheduling manager, promptly returned my call and set up a date for his workers to come to my house. I gave him a rough estimate of what was needed so he would know how many people to send. The two electricians were a bit later than planned but did call ahead to let me know when they could get there. They quickly fixed the broken wiring, plus identified the source of the non-working disposal, which wasn't in the original estimate. The light fixtures were quickly swapped out and they moved the switch from one wall to an adjoining one. They cleaned up their work areas and took away the rubbish. Total time: about 3 hours. I've had good luck with this company in the past and will continue to use them for other projects. However, for major projects, I will get competing bids to make sure I'm getting the best value for my money.
Description of Work: Fixed broken wiring in electrical receptacles in 2 locations, swapped out 2 ceiling light fixtures, moved light switch from one wall to another.

+ -1 moreVer good. Was able to meet them at my home immediately & they were (a) the most responsive of the three companies I called, and (b) if you live in a Levitt-built home, probably good top hire a electrician who does a lot of work there.
Description of Work: Lost service to a circuit in my 1967 Levitt 1967 home. Thought it was a breaker but two fellows were able to trouble shoot the problem to a loose connection up the circuit line (even though that outlet was working). Took about 45 minutes to an hour, including climbing into the attic to wiggle the fedder wire..

Description of Work: They changed out light fixtures, reviewed and replaced a back step light, installed three new fire alarms I purchased, and ran backyard wiring for future landscaping lighting that included two outside electrical sockets. Mr. Rob Cooper came promptly to give the estimate. That same afternoon he sent his team to change out the lights and review and fix the back light. The next day they completed the backyard wiring and installed the alarms. While here, they also kindly installed a dimmer switch I purchased for one of the fixtures they had changed out earlier. Both Mr. Cooper and his team were extremely prompt , courteous and professional, as well as very careful with my property both while inside my home and outside in my backyard. The price for the work was higher than other estimates I gathered but the sense of competency Mr. Cooper inspired while giving the estimate and other professional suggestions while here gave me comfort that the job would get done properly and promptly and would be worth the additional investment. As suspected, the work was completed promptly, professionally and exceeded my expectations. I consider them my electricians now from this point on. I highly recommend them.

+ 0 moreIf you are comfortable with your residential electricians not being reliably responsive when you need them, everything else about them was terrific.
Description of Work: I used this company for about 4 years, and was quite happy with their work, recommended them to others. However, on two separate occasions about a year apart, they did not respond to repeated calls when we needed help. Once was in late November when the house was partially dark (including the part with the furnace), and the second and final time was when pendant lights they'd installed (so were familiar with) later died. I did not want to change electricians without giving them an opportunity to explain, but they ignored a faxed and then mailed letter as well.

+ -1 moreI would recommend this company. I called and even though he was very busy, he came over right away within 15 minutes to see if our electrical problem was BGE's problem or ours. He was very knowledgeable and knew what the problem was in less than a couple of minutes. He told us it was BGE even after BGE had come out earlier and told us the opposite. BGE had to come out again, apologize and fix the problem because it was on their end. Thank you for taking care of our little emergency.
