Tony Morgan, owner of Morgan Building and Remodeling LLC, exemplifies total excellence in professionalism, attention to detail, and follow up! We found Tony on Angie?s List listed as kitchen contractor of the year. It was our intention to obtain three contractor quotes for our kitchen remodel with Tony being the first for the initial planning stages starting in late November when he first came out for our initial visit. As it turned out, three months later, when Tony was still coming out to the house for additional measurements, plan revisions, and contract updates on his own time without any commitment from us, we knew we had the right person for the job. Our house is a 1960s rancher in need of a lot of updates. The outdated kitchen was particularly a bother to us. It was difficult designing a plan that would modify our existing floor plans with respect to both budgeting and improving the overall layout for a more modern feel. Tony was very patient with us on this. He took into account what we wanted and worked diligently to get everything on the contract to our satisfaction to avoid unbudgeted add-on expenditures. On the day we signed the contract, Tony reviewed the overall plan with expectations of having the project completed in about a month. He reviewed what would occur each week. We arranged a tentative start date. One week prior, Tony contacted us and asked for a one week extension in order to complete another project and dedicate a 100% to ours which we agreed to. We were not disappointed. The first day I saw Tony in action, he was directing his staff on the bearing wall expansion and fabrication of a new load bearing header. I was very curious and went to listen to him as he commanded orders, inspected, and reviewed techniques with the men as to why the procedure needed to be carried out a certain way. He was 100% immersed into the job. His coworkers, Paul and Joe, also took great pride in their work. Everyone was consistent with adherence to a daily routine of arriving early am to get started and tidying up before leaving at the end of the day, hauling away the old trash and debris. It was interesting to see how excited they were on the day the granite went in. I was surprised with the interest and enthusiasm throughout the project. True to his word, our gorgeous ?new, model home? kitchen was completed in just a little over a month. We are very pleased with the results, but also with Tony?s follow through to ensure everything has been completed to our satisfaction, including little extras like switching out shelf brackets, getting a new shelf made that had some damage and hauling out the old dishwasher we decided not to save. It?s things like these that separate him from other contractors. We?ve already recommended Tony to a couple of our neighbors and are hoping to have him back here again soon to get started on our deck project. Angie?s List was right. Tony Morgan is kitchen contractor of the year!
