The Vertical Connection Carpet One

From the first consult with Stephanie in the big, bright showroom to the install done by Ron and Tom , everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Buying new carpets can be an overwhelming experience with so many choices and decisions to make. Stephanie made the process easier for us by helping us decide on what was most important , and steering us towards the right types of carpet. She came to our home ,brought samples, and measured the areas before giving us our quote. We paid our deposit and the following day received a phone call to schedule the install. Ron and Tom arrived promptly for their scheduled install and worked hard moving the furniture, removing the old carpet , and installing the new pad and carpets . We are very pleased with how the floors look Although this was not the lowest price quote we received, we chose vertical connection because they are an established local business with dedicated employees and no sub contracted installers.

These guys are incredible, especially with their 'beautiful home' guarantee in which they agree to replace the flooring with an alternate if we are not 100% satisfied - which they did, though not due to any fault on their part! Here are the details. The initial installation was great. Everyone on the sales and scheduling side ( Bob F. and Dave respectively) were friendly and accommodating. Top notch customer service: friendly, professional, allowed us to take our time with the selection process, allowed us to take samples home, worked with us to find a time that was convenient for us for the installation, etc. The sales guy, Bob F., was also very accommodating about coming out for the measurement; he was able to come on a weekend. The installers, Mr. Cho and his son Andy, were also great. Punctual, friendly, and skilled craftsmen. They did an incredible job of trimming into all the odd corners. All was completed on time per the arranged schedule. They moved our furniture around as expected, and left little pads from our left-over carpet under all the hard-edged furniture to ensure that the new floor would not get scraped and moved the kitchen appliances as needed (refrigerator and stove). The minor issues with the old under-flooring were dealt with appropriately, e.g. applying floor patching to even out some rough inconsistencies in the basement, dealing with old linoleum that the former owners left under the old flooring and that we were unaware of until they started pulling it up. These guys covered every single detail. I can't recommend them more highly. And now for the kicker. After everything was installed we decided that the wood-grain pattern we had chosen just didn't suite our liking. We felt the pattern was OK for the basement, but the 'burled wood' look was more prominent than we were able to see in the sample and too much for the main floor. Well, they really came through with their 'beautiful home' guarantee. We were allowed to choose a totally new pattern. They pulled up the flooring that they installed previously and replaced with our preferred pattern for ZERO additional charge and with totally friendly, accommodating ungrudging attitude. We now have a floor that we are 100% satisfied with, installed perfectly, and had a great experience with the entire process.

Quick, efficient service. I really enjoyed working with Bob Frankenberger - who was professional and knowledgeable. Carpet installers were great. I don't have their names because I have already passed along their business cards to friends needing flooring. Would work with them again. Glad I decided to walk into their showroom.

VC was great from the very beginning when Bob came to my house to measure. That same day I received the estimated cost of the work to be done. I also received estimates from three other business. While VC was the most costly, the second company was only $300 less so VC lowered their price to meet the competitors price. Dave called within a couple days of signing the contract to schedule the work. Sent an email explaining what my responsibilities were regarding removing nic-naks, pictures, etc. Then a week before the installers were scheduled he called again to confirm the appointment and see if I had any questions. Two installers arrived this morning around 8:00. They worked quickly and efficiently. Took up the old carpet and pad and hauled them away; took away all boxes and wood scrapes away as well. Moved the large pieces of furniture around. They left around 4:30. Job completely finished and beautiful. The installers were fantastic.

We are thrilled with our new carpet! We received fantastic and personalized service throughout the process from Steve and Kathy Joss and Stephanie Bunting. They helped us pick out a carpet that is perfect for our finished basement, and we are delighted with the final product. The color and design look wonderful in the space, and the carpet (including the very nice, high quality pad underneath) is so soft and cushiony -- it's a pleasure to walk on! The installation was done beautifully, and we received outstanding service through every step of the process. In addition, the price was right! Many thanks to the Vertical Connection! My opinion .. The prices seem high, but have a lot of options and a nice show room. I got a quote for in-stock carpeting, but did not end up purchasing because their price seemed higher than the other companies I quoted. They could be more competitive for the higher-end or custom stuff, but that is not what I was looking for.

Sometimes, you just get a good vibe when you walk into a business, and that was definitely our experience with Vertical Connection Carpet One! We had just had an antique dining room set refinished and reupholstered, so we had waited to order window treatments until the work was completed and the furniture installed at our house. (It took us about a year to make all the decisions and have the work done, so we were anxious to move forward with the window furnishings.) A colleague at work had recommended Vertical Connection Carpet One to us, as she was very satisfied with the flooring she had purchased though them. Our sales associate, Stephanie Bunting, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and offered to come out to our house with lots of sample books to help us with our decision-making. It made a world of difference to see samples in our own home with our paints, furnishings, and lighting! She provided a detailed estimate for us for every window and every choice we made. (Yes, we have Roman shades, woven wooden shades, aluminum-like 2" blinds for the basement, and Duette honeycomb shades.) Once we decided to move forward, she had their contractor come out and re-measure all the windows to be 100% accurate. (BTW, he was very professional and made some good suggestions.) My husband and I highly recommend Vertical Connection for their professionalism, expert knowledge, and accuracy. Until I discovered Vertical Connection, I had not been able to make decisions on my window treatments, despite 3 years of browsing at most of the local major retail stores. I must say this company has the best customer service around. You will pay a bit more (I wish I could only give an A- instead of a B) than some other companies, but you really get what you pay for. When having any large remodel it is really the quality of the sales team, installation team, and the owners behind them that will make the difference between a quality installation or one that is delayed and doesn't meet your expectations. I have three examples of the exceptional experience we had with the entire process. The first was with the sales team. Steve Bourque took the time to walk through all the various options NUMEROUS times we had for floor style, how our decisions would affect the cost, where we could consider upgrades and savings, what we should consider for our house, how the climate in Maryland would affect our product, etc. He continuously followed up with us on questions we had, and made sure once we had decided on a product our installation date worked with our schedule, including around family vacations. The second example was with the installation team. I can not stress how good of a job they did. They hand scrolled some of the hardwood around the stone fireplace to make it blend in perfectly. They were always punctual, very polite, and answered my many questions. The third was we ran into an unexpected bump. Several of the stairs ordered through EzTread were the wrong size. This was noticed by the installation team very early in the process, and they notified the owner about the issue. Steve Joss personally contacted the manufacturer in Delaware, had the steps delivered to him at the showroom, then personally drove them to Delaware that day to get them fixed. EZTread re-sized them that night, and Steve drove back the next day to pick them up and deliver them back to our house for installation. When the owner goes to those lengths to make sure his customers are happy you know you have made the right decision. After everything was done and the proverbial dust had settled (and Swiffered) the crew came back for a final walk through and touched up any scratches or dings that were noticed. Again, the attention to detail was appreciated. The Vertical Connection teams really exceeded my expectations when it came to customer service, which is really what you should look for with any large installation or remodeling.

I would recommend the Vertical Connection to anyone! They are by far the best in customer service, product selection and installation. This was a very involved and difficult job and they did an excellent job. They went above and beyond to make sure the job was completed. All the staff from management to sales and the installers were excellent. I also used them in the fall of 2014 to install wall to wall carpet and they did a great job!

carpeting / rugs went very well ... they did an in-home Saturday appointment that was very convenient to place the order ... everything went down at delivery / install time without issue ... we are very happy with the results window treatments ended up very well, but they had to come back two extra times before it was right ... first time there was a manufacturing defect that should've been caught before they even tried to install ... so there was a several week delay while it was remade .... second time, their installer was very new and tracked grease in our house and got it on the product ... so there was another several week delay while it was remade ...third time, it all went well and we are very happy with the product

They did an excellent job installing the carpets. They were a little bit pricey.

The wood is gorgeous and the installers did an outstanding job.

We loved the Hunter Douglass lifetime guarantee - and had to use it when our dining room wood blinds did not turn out as expected. The fix was initiated immediately and new blinds were delivered in a fully reasonable time. Our salesperson, Steve, was exceptionally responsive and the installer was professional and performed excellent work. We would definitely recommend Vertical Connections and would use them again.

They believe in the "measure twice, cut once" philosophy - do it once, and do it right. We have a window quilt, shade on sky light, wooden blinds, vertical blinds, and all are excellent. We have also gotten carpeting from them.

We used then around 2006/2007 - they were very arrogant and we have not used them since!

The folks at Vertical Connection were EXCELLENT in terms of their responsiveness, professionalism, the wide selection of offerings at different price points,and the quality of their products and services. I recommend them to everyone that I know who are in need of similar services.

The technician did everything right. Hunter Douglas does not make a replacement motor. You must buy the complete assembly. After getting the measurements and ordering, he installed it when we received it.

Everything went as planned and the rug was fine..

It went great. They explained what my options were in terms of products. They installed them and it was well done. This company provided great service from the start to end of the project.
