Service was purchased through a deal in this site. They made contact within a couple days to schedule the service. We received an expected arrival time and they arrived at the beginning that window. The two cleaners got right to work and did a superb job on the entire house. They did everything on the list we provided and a number of additional things we didn't think to request. Could not have been more satisfied with the experience. They arrived with all of their own materials and supplies. Our house was left as clean as it has been since we first moved in.
Description of Work: Complete deep cleaning of the entire house. This included cleaning baseboards, blinds, inside of windows, bathrooms, floors, dusting all surfaces and ceiling fans. They were extremely thorough and very efficient.

They were prompt and got right to work. What I did not like was how the one lady cleaned. She used a rag with water no cleaning solution. As the rag dried she would wet it again. I am selling my place and was hoping for a real deep clean. The owner squeezed me in which was great but I had to go over the work. Lastly, as they were leaving she left the dirty rag on the kitchen table which was filthy. They were nice and the owner was great.

We use water and a damp rag to dust because it is safer, just in case we come across furniture that is sensitive to chemicals. The white rag turned brown after using it to clean the window sills, the window sills were extremely dirty, the cleaner forgot to put the rag in the trash when she finished, she did not realize it was still on the kitchen table.

The two female cleaners were nice and professional. They did a very good job. The house looks great!

After scheduling, I realized that I needed a different date. I sent an email to the provider to ask for a different date and he called me. I also received an email asking about how big my house was and there were other questions about my basement. So, I called the provider back and he seemed as if he was put out that I lived "so far away." It was a very strange conversation to say the least. I would not use this company. Unprofessional and sketchy questions.

We contacted the customer to schedule the service and realized that the area she lived in was outside the areas we typically service. We let the customer know that we were making an exception because she had already paid for the deal. We only pointed this out to let her know that we would not provide service in that area in the future. We needed to know the size of the home because the deal clearly states that the maximum square footage for service is 3000 sq ft. The customer did not know the size of her home. Over 2000 storefront deals have been purchased and in our experience, most customers purchasing the deal have an idea of the approximate square footage of their home. It was very obvious to us that the customer was being evasive about the size of her home because she wanted to take advantage of us and the well priced deal we were offering. We were trying to help her figure out the size of her home through online resources. This is a critical question that we need answered before the date of service. We cannot commit to provide service if we are unable to determine the size of the house (Voucher requirement). We found an approximate square footage of the home online and asked the customer to verify the information. These are not “unprofessional and sketchy questions” as the customer stated. We didn’t ask her for her weight, or what college she went to or what she had for breakfast that morning. The customer was hesitant or unwilling to disclose the square footage of the house, which is critical information we need to honor the voucher. The conversation with the customer was strange to say the least and we suspected and expected that the customer would post a negative review. Her inability to respect our company’s service policy and accept no is the only reason for this negative review. Unfortunately, we get very few customers that use the Angie’s List review system as a tool to be spiteful and vengeful for an unreasonable request that is denied. Not fair!

Thank you for choosing us out of so many others. But we don’t use bleach on everything. We use Clorox in bathrooms only except the customer says not to. We prefer to use Clorox in most bathrooms because it also disinfects. If we used bleach on everything the entire furniture in the house will be white by now :-)

Emmanuel called about half-way through the cleaning service to see how things were going and if I was satisfied. His staff was so professional, courteous, friendly, and committed to getting the job done (no matter how long it took). It was truly a pleasure to have her in my home and would love for return service as needed. All cleaning supplies were provided and trash disposed of after the job was complete. Couldn't have asked for more. Feel that they went above and beyond and really cared about my satisfaction as well as how I wanted things done.
Description of Work: Full cleaning including very thorough scrubbing of refrigerator and freezer. Also, special attention paid to the master bathroom and immaculate cleaning of tiles. Vacuum, mop, dust, wipe surfaces, clean 2 bathrooms, LR, DR, 2 bedrooms and kitchen in about 4 hours. AMAZING JOB!

The cleaning went great, we have multiple pets are lives are really busy so we have a very hard time getting our house clean. The lady was nice and thorough cleaned each room of our house. I have to admit some of them really needed cleaning. Overall, this took about 4 hours. I really enjoyed that the $199 deal covered the SQFT and not by time. In the past I've had 2 hours strict cleaning with another provider and it didn't even cover most of my house. She was lady was very diligent and exhibited a strong work ethic and was happy to turn my house from a mess to exceptionally clean. There were a few places, that she missed such as cobweb's and a few dust areas but overall it was a huge improvement and I was really pleased with the work. I would say it went from like 4/5 to like a 9 out of 10. We hadn't had a deep in a really long time. I've gone with three or four different cleaning providers and I would say this has been one of the best. I hope to schedule a bi-weekly service.

The girls that came did a thorough job in an adequate timeframe. They dusted blinds in addition to the furniture. Their bathroom cleaning was very good. A supervisor came by after they were done to review the job and make sure we were satisfied.

The cleaning was great! Sparkletime exceeded my expectations. They made the appliances look brand new again (which was a tough job). The floors and windows gleamed. They dusted the ceiling fans and baseboards and the three bathrooms were spotless. They even swept up all the dust and cobwebs from our storage area in the basement. The house looked amazing and I felt good about leaving it to the new owners in such a clean state. The house even smelled good! (not that bleach and chemical smell you usually get after a detail cleaning). I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend. But the best part was that the ladies who did the cleaning were cheerful, polite, and kind. Moving is exhausting, but Sparkletime made it so much easier!

They are not the cheapest, but when they are here they clean nonstop and it is worth it. Their work ethic is excellent and they are a pleasure to work with. I also like the fact that they are going to charge a base fee for general cleaning and an additional fee for specific needs such as cleaning the fridge or the baseboards. I will be hiring them on a bi-weekly basis from now on.
Description of Work: Emmanuel's crew cleaned my house thoroughly after construction, including inside of windows, wiping down shelves in hutches and cabinets, and removing all the dust from my home. They cleaned all the bathrooms and kitchen, bedrooms and basement. It was a huge job and my house felt like a different place when they left. They had done a preliminary cleaning several weeks earlier which was even worse.

I was promised a ?deep cleaning? (the owner?s words) of my father?s home as I prepare to sell it following his death. I was quoted $510 for which two people would clean the house and a third person who would clean two rugs. Given the large job with lots of windows and three full baths I thought the price was reasonable. What I got in return was an exceptional rug cleaner but only one cleaning person who did a very sloppy job. I was still finding problems with the house cleaner?s work four days after she returned to the house a second time following my initial call to complain. When the owner phoned me the morning of the appointment date to inform me that only one cleaner would be there I reminded him that it was a big job. He reassured me that he was sending out a ?team lead? and that she was more than capable of completing the job. I really don?t think she knew what she was doing. The windows that she did clean where heavily streaked with grime like she was using dirty water to wipe them down. Some windows she never cleaned. I specifically told her to clean a sliding glass door. When she returned after I called to complain she said, ?You left the door open so I didn?t think you wanted it cleaned.? (The door was open to help the carpet dry.) Two hours after she left I discovered she had not cleaned a single kitchen drawer and only one or two cabinets had been cleaned. One bathroom cabinet had sticky gunk on it. The mirrors and windows in one bedroom weren?t cleaned. An area of floor with spilled soap on it was pointed out to her and she still didn?t clean it. My sister rewashed the wood staircase and only then did it look clean. I?m just giving the highlights here. Some of this stuff I just didn?t check at first because I never dreamed in a million years that things like kitchen drawers would be ignored. I depended on Sparkletime to do the job right so I could focus on other issues related to getting the house ready for sale. (I don?t live in Maryland.) What I received was a headache requiring my sister and me to redo much of her work. Yes, the owner did come out personally and ask me if I was satisfied that evening the cleaner returned at 7 pm to respond to my complaints. But there comes a time when one realizes that the effort needed to make something right is too great for the circumstances; she would have been there another three hours to fix the problems I found later. I needed the house cleaned right the first time, especially for the price charged. I am on a tight schedule to get my deceased father?s home organized to sell. I have other contractors on timelines coming in and I didn?t have time to argue with Sparkletime over this. Perhaps the owner has other employees who would have cleaned much better; to call this person a ?team lead? and her work ?deep cleaning? defies the truth. With the exception of the carpet cleaner, Sparkletime wasted my time and my money.

The customer needed a renovation, not a house cleaning. You can’t expect a “deep house cleaning” to restore your home when the home in question needs a renovation. We are a cleaning company not a renovation company. The customer should have had the home renovated, then called us to clean up afterwards. For instance, the customer made our cleaner kneel and scrub all the wooden steps with an abrasive sponge in order to remove the layers of dirt and grime. Murphy’s oil soap could not break through all the layers of grime. No cleaning company does that, but we accommodated his request just to satisfy him. Unlike our competitors, we don’t impose time constraints on our cleaning service. Our cleaners work for as long as it takes to get the job done. The job was scheduled for 2 cleaners but we notified the customer before the scheduled time of service that only one cleaner would work because we were short-staffed.(A cleaner called out) The customer consented to having one cleaner; however he stated that he was worried that one person couldn’t clean the house. We assured him that we were sending one of our team leads who was very capable of tackling the task. About 4 ½ hours into the job, we sent another cleaner to join the cleaner already at the jobsite. We are not new to the business of preparing homes for sale. We have a longstanding relationship with many realtors, cleaning houses before they go on the market for sale. As a matter of fact we have worked with out-of-state realtors to clean and “prep” houses for sale. The cleaners noted that the customer kept asking them to redo areas he had not witnessed them clean. If he did not witness them clean an area, he determined that it was not cleaned and ask them to redo the area. At the end of the job, we did a lengthy walk-through with the customer and he said he was satisfied with the service. He even tipped out cleaner and told her she did a great job. The customer called 2 hours after we left and said he wanted some areas (cabinets) redone because there were stains. We returned to the house and the cleaned the areas (cabinets). The customer realized then that the stains were permanent and set. The cleaner had cleaned the “areas” but because he was not present when she cleaned the areas in question, he believed that they were not cleaned. We had another walk-through with the customer and he stated that he was satisfied with the service rendered. If at that point he was not satisfied, he should have mentioned it. We spent almost 9 hours cleaning the house. The customer claims that he doesn’t “think [the cleaner] knew what she was doing” but she has had over 100 A ratings from other customers. He gave her a tip for the “great job” she did. A tip is given on merit, tipping is a sign that one is happy with the service received. We have a 35 point checklist that our cleaners must complete with every job; he called us out on 5 items: Gunk on bathroom cabinet-we cannot destroy property when cleaning. Removing years of sticky gunk involves using abrasives that may cause damage. The cabinets were cleaned twice, but the stains and gunk are permanently set. The cabinets needed to be stripped and refinished. An area of floor with spilled soap-This was a stain that was set in place because the soap had been on the area for a long time. The area needed to be refinished. The windows that she did clean where heavily streaked with grime- The windows were grimy because they had not been cleaned in a long time. We cleaned the windows but we cannot the restore showroom shine to old windows. Wood staircase- At the customer’s insistence, cleaner knelt and scrub all the wooden steps with an abrasive sponge in order to remove the layers of dirt and grime. Murphy’s oil soap could not break through all the layers of grime. Kitchen drawers and cabinets- As we previously stated, we cannot destroy property when cleaning. Removing years of grime involves using abrasives and industrial strength chemicals that may cause damage. The cabinets needed to be stripped and refinished. We cleaned the house right the first time. The customer stated that he “thought the price was reasonable” but we think he is upset because he thought the deep cleaning would take away the need for a renovation. We aim to please our customers, within reason but we cannot perform miracles. The customer should not project his frustration that he needs to spend more money renovating his house onto us. We understand that he feels that he has spent a lot of money and expects more than we or any cleaning company can offer. We did the job we were hired to do, which was to clean.

They have different levels of cleaning. I was very happy the first time they came. I wasn't thrilled the last time. The first time they were prompt. The people were very good and they did everything that needed to be done. I wasn't here the second time and they left a lot to be desired. They forgot to wash the kitchen floor, but I think I'm going to give them another chance. I don't think they would do it again the second time. The price was fine.

Called up Sparkletime Cleaning Service at 12:20pm, explained we had an emergency and needed their services today. They said they would have somone out to me between 1pm & 2pm. 1:30pm they show up and got to work and were done quickly!!! I purposely did not give a comment about them. I’m trying to be fair because the owner of the company tried to help us work out some things. Our house was too big for the big deal that we bought so we were not able to use it. Our house is more than 6000 square feet. We had some other arrangements that we could do and I thought that was a reasonable thing for someone to do and we appreciated it. The services started and we were not pleased with the services that were being given but we did stick with them for a while and then we just figured that we will give instructions on things that we wanted them to do differently and where they should concentrate on more. Hopefully in time they will improve. There was actually some improvement in time. We never thought that they will do a good job but they created a big problem that was pretty bad and I guess they will have to pay for now. Towards the end of last June, He billed us money and that became more and more apparent to me after what we have done through for months when ultimately I think he does not want to be reached until he stopped corresponding with me even after we had a couple of pleas with the schedule. I was not hearing anything from him anymore and I just want him to get back to me regarding the financial arrangements that we have. So basically he was rude and wrong. I was basically upset about the financial situation, to begin was not even accurate. I am very confused. So ultimately I was not happy with the service in addition to the fact that we could no longer work with him in a personal way and it’s just about money. I don’t think that the staff listened to us very well. They just agreed with us but nothing was done about the situation. I don’t think that they were very thorough. I think that they cut a lot of corners. One thing that I like was that he was very flexible about the time when they could come and clean. We have crazy schedules and we could not commit a definite time for them to clean every week. So we always have random time for them to come out and clean and we worked with us well and was very understanding about that. I want to be fair in telling you what was good and what was not good. But I will never worked with him again. I felt just very uncomfortable with him. He was just trying to over charge us. He terminated his services with us without telling us.

The customer initially purchased a deal intended for homes up to 3500 sq. ft. We courteously explained to the customer that the deal was for homes up to 3500 sq. ft. and made arrangements to clean the home. The customer initially set up biweekly cleaning on a fixed schedule, but later cancelled for personal reasons. She asked us to accommodate her schedule because she could not commit to a specific time for bi-weekly cleaning. The customer always contacted us when our services were needed. The customer chose the day and time of service and we always did our best to accommodate her. Sometimes she called to schedule cleaning with less than 24 hours notice. The customer often scheduled cleaning late in the day, outside normal business hours and we accommodated her requests. Every time we cleaned, we sent 3 cleaners, who spent up to 6 hours cleaning the 6000+ sq. ft home. We charged $250(for a 6000+ sq. ft. home) and sent 3 people who often worked up to 6 hours. That is 18 labor hours of cleaning, sometimes not finishing until midnight. Our service was grossly underpriced. We agreed to the low rate because the customer appealed to us to reduce the price. She needed the service but was unable to pay the actual rate due to personal reasons she shared with us. Her appeal was heartfelt and we obliged. We never cut corners. She also cancelled/rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice quite often. We did not terminate our services because of this; we continued to accommodate her requests. We are ultimately in the business to make money; we don’t terminate customers for frivolous reasons. The customer never complained about our service. Our cleaners mentioned on many occasions that the customer was always arrogant towards them (it’s not nice to look down on people because you’re in a better financial situation than them), when they greet her she wouldn’t answer but we made them understand that their job was to clean not make assertions about customers. It took quite a bit of reading and rereading to understand what the customer’s issues or complaints are. The last time we cleaned, we arrived an hour late due to circumstances beyond our control. We notified the customer to let her know we were running late. When the cleaning team arrived, the customer took her time to let them into the house. The customer’s husband eventually convinced her to let them in and the house was cleaned. She has not called since then to schedule service. We did not reach out to her, because she always reached out to us for service. We believe the customer is upset because she has been unable to find another company willing to offer the same top-notch service and flexibility at the same price. Her rant against us is unwarranted. We believe she felt bad about the way she treated our staff the last time she had her house cleaned. She expected us to terminate her service but we did not. She is projecting her insecurities onto us.
