Sparkletime Cleaning Service

It turned out OK. The cleaning was done to my satisfaction.

We don't have kids or dogs. We keep our house pretty clean and organized. Because we had some painting done on the first floor, and we are busy, we thought it would be a good idea just to get somebody to do an overall cleaning of the house. The company was quick to call us and schedule a time. They notified us prior to arrival and the cleaner arrived early. The job was done by one woman and took about 4 1/2 hours. She was very nice but we were not satisfied with the overall quality of work. Basically she just wiped the surfaces and floors. The wood floor was still dirty with spots, and the granite counters still had a film that would require just a little decent effort to scrub with a Clorox wipe (which we did after she left). The glass window of our China cabinet was still dirty (I don't think she cleaned it). The most deceiving part was that deal included "cleaning the stove hood". We expected her to clean the visible part of the hood, top and bottom. But she just wiped the top. When we asked her to clean the bottom too, she asked for baking soda but then was allergic to it. We gave her gloves, and she called her manager. The manager was very defensive and condescending. He asked whether I had my contract in front of me, whether I knew what I was talking about. And he proceeded to say that the kitchen hood was the top of the kitchen fan, and did not include the bottom part. Whatever. We didn't argue and just let her go. After she left, we spent another hour cleaning our house, cleaning the places that she wiped and the places she didn't wipe. She did a good job with my bathtub though. The deal and the service was not at all what I expected it to be. I would not have her come back for any additional work or corrections. UPDATE: It amazes me how Sparkletime makes things up. My wife and I work from home. We tried to keep out of her way to let her do her job. We weren't shadowing her at all. I reviewed your service not to be vindictive but to be honest. I noticed that it is you who are vindictive in your responses to honest reviews. It is clear from your comments that you do not know how to clean well. After your representative left, I ended up cleaning the hood as I always do. It took about 20 minutes. There was no "permanent grease stain". She hadn't been working on the stove for an hour -- she wasn't in the entire kitchen for an hour. I didn't ask her to clean the filters; just the under-part (visible) part of the hood. You could have easily cleaned it from underneath (the visible part) but I chose to help by removing it to make it easier to clean. Make all the excuses you want but it had nothing to do with insurance. I'm glad to post a picture showing how shiny it is -- no need to replace it! I respect that you have a service to run but charging $200 to wipe things down is not the same as cleaning something. It wasn't worth $200. I wish you luck and hope that Angie's List notes the consistently negative comments you leave for customers simply assessing the quality of your service.

Four hours of work including dusting, windows, bathrooms, kitchen, and living room, and rooms in basement finished area. Also watered plants and dusted baseboards at no extra charge. Great deal for price. Have booked them again for three weeks from now.

They showed up about 15 minutes late but did a great job. They brought all the cleaning supplies and worked for several hours. i would recommend them to everyone.

They were prompt, professional, and efficient. They were finished in a timely manner.

I wanted my house cleaned during the week I was off. I bought the service about a week ahead of time and requested the time and they initially said they could not do it. They then said yes they could do it and I even asked for the service sooner than my original date and they were able to accomodate. Very professional. Good job. Would use them again.

I was contacted the day after I purchased the big deal of 6 man-hours of cleaning for $199.00, and was able to schedule for the very next day. That was impressive that the service provider could work me in so quickly. The team manger brought one worker over at the time scheduled and she immediately got to work. Starting upstairs and working down was her plan and she never stopped. After two hours the team manager brought another worker to the house and she checked in with the other lady and then began as well. After 4 hours the team finished up and departed. The house had not had a through cleaning for 5 months, so every moment was needed, and while an excellent job was done, it could have used more attention paid to baseboards, molding and the tile floor. The floor was mopped, but it's still dirty and could have used a second mopping (there's a puppy in the house and that's were she spends most of her time). Overall, I'm very pleased and intend to work with the company for routine cleaning, I recommend this company and I was very comfortable with having them in my home unsupervised. Both workers were focused, worked hard and did not waste any time.

It did work very well. We had to pay more because they had to clean specific clean that my mother wanted.

The Cleaning went great, the company called ahead of time and asked if they could arrive early. once they arrived they went right to work cleaning the home and did not miss the small things. Every corner, every item was thoroughly cleaned to perfection. Floors were scrubbed clean, counters are spotless, they even cleaned the inside of the microwave and my toothbrush charger in the bathroom! We did some preparation before they arrived but there were definitely some things still in the way but they not only worked around these things, they put them back in a nicer arrangement then they had already been in to complete the nice clean look. I would highly recommend this service and plan to continue using them on a regular basis.

The provider showed up at the property without any cleaning supplies. We had to go buy cleaning supplies for them to use. The providers argument was that they believe in organic cleaning. I regret that I could not buy the deal from Angie's list because move out clean was not a part of the deal that they had advertised.

Purchased deal through Angies list. We were contacted by the company within 24 hours. Arrived on time punctually and completed all cleaning.

The overall outcome of the cleaning service was great, but the company should have booked two cleaners for the job. The original booking was for 2 PM and then it was changed to 3:30 PM. This then conflicted with the family Friday evening schedule. Dinner could not be started nor could everyone relax from a long week without getting in the way. The service tech did a wonderful job but ended up there late into the evening. If I planned another service, I would hope to get the same service tech and I would have to insist the cleaning start early in the morning or day. All representatives from the company were very pleasant and professional.

They were very accommodating to finding a time that worked for me as I only had a few limited time slots so I was very appreciative of their ability to be flexible in that sense. Two people, (the cleaning person and a manager) showed up on time. The manager went around the house with me to gain an understanding of what the layout was like and to see if I had any special requirements. At that point, he left and the cleaning person then worked by herself for about 4 hours. Was satisfied by what she accomplished and the quality was great. I would use them again.

Very responsive, courteous service and a great result - the owner Emmanuel worked around my schedule to fit in this relatively small job because I needed it doing before guests arrived. The carpet was on two flights of stairs so he had to drag the heavy machine up and down. It is a very light carpet with lots of traffic stains not to mention a hairy dog that drops dirt everywhere! But he finished the job in just over an hour and the carpet looks like new. Highly recommend.

Always do a very professional job!

The appointment was originally scheduled for 2pm. Their schedule opened up at noon so they called to see if they could come earlier. Since I didn't answer, they waited. Their work was very thorough. I did notice some staining on the carpet afterwards, but that was no fault to them. I believe those to be long set in and not noticeable before the service due to lighting and the type of carpet in that room. All other rooms look like freshly laid carpet. Amazing job by Sparkletime. I would highly recommend them for being accommodating and providing a high level of service.

I hired Sparkletime to clean a relatively small but dingy old Baltimore City rowhouse that I just purchased. Emmanuel was pleasant and professional on the phone, quoted me a flat-rate for the job (I expressed my discomfort in hiring by the hour), and promptly fit me in to his team’s busy schedule. His team came, worked hard, and did a nice job. Sparkletime performed as an A-rated cleaning company should perform.

Being retired Military have dealt with many move out cleaning services. This is by far the best one I have had. They cleaned the house AND cleaned the carpet. I was laid off on a Wednesday and tried to get everything packed out and cleaned by the next week. At such a short notice they came through. The fact they cleaned the house and carpet saved time and was convenient. The price was underbid and I suspected this, but even after trying to pay the appropriate price they stuck with the original bid. As a single man cleaning is not a top priority for me so it really amazed me how clean the carpets were. I really could not find anything that was not spotless. Should have had them come in once a week which I would recommend these people with the highest praise.

The service went well, we contracted them for a biweekly service after that. We had smoke damage and they had to wait until after the smoke damage was cleared, so they did the work 3 weeks after we purchased the big deal.

The owner is responsive, professional and personable. Not only that, he's highly accommodating. I needed my home cleaned prior to the delivery of my furniture, and he came out on a Sunday to do so. He and a really wonderful young lady came out, evaluated what needed to get done, and then quickly did so. Once all the furniture has been delivered and I have fully moved in, I will be scheduling follow up services. Thanks, Emmanuel, and thanks Angie's List!

Service turned out fine. The people were friendly and very professional. They did a good job.

They did such great job that I hired them to perform monthly house cleaning services. The Owner, Emmanuel was very good at keeping on schedule. He was also accommodating when I needed a schedule change. He wanted to know exactly what I wanted to have done and worked with his staff to ensure I was completely satisfied.

Sparkletime is excellent. They are always on time, extremely professional, and enjoyable to talk to. And, most importantly, they do excellent work. The house is always spotless when they leave, despite our three kids and a large dog. They are have been very flexible when I had changes in my schedule that necessitated changing our normal cleaning days. Moreover, their prices either equal or beat other services that we have tried. I highly recommend Sparkletime.

I had almost immediate responses whenever I contacted them. I bought the deal on December 17 and asked them the next day if there were any openings before Christmas (I had family coming on Christmas Eve). They immediately got back to me and said that Christmas Eve was the only time they had open before then, and that they could be at my house at 3. I confirmed the day before that they were still coming and they said they could arrive at 1:30 instead, which was perfect. On the day of, they texted me that they were on their way, and showed up right on time (reminder - this was Christmas Eve!!). I showed the woman exactly what I wanted done and she got right to work. She not only did an amazing job, but she actually listened to me and did what I asked. She was friendly, professional and very respectful when my family showed up. She even stayed a little late, to ensure she finished the job. I was completely satisfied with sparkletime and will not only recommend them to anyone, I'll use them any time I want my home professionally cleaned. Thank you sparkletime!
