+ -1 moreSouthern Pest control was supposed to provide Preventive Interior and Exterior Pest Treatment. The visit was scheduled for 0900 . By 0945 no one had arrived nor had I been called regarding their status. I called their office for status and was told that the tech that was supposed to treat my home called in sick that day. But no one bothered to call me to re-schedule. How is this possible? If someone who is supposed to do the work is unavailable then the first thing a company that is concerned about its customers would do is contact them. I postponed other very important activities in order to fit these people into my schedule. Currently monitoring my account for a very quick refund. I will not contact this company for future work.
Description of Work: Nothing. They never showed up.

+ -1 moreTo me their price is cheaper than another pest service provider. I only had them out here one time. I really don't think that the person was young guy that came out. I don't know how long he has worked for them but he didn't seem like he was able to do some of the things I would have done.

+ -1 moreThey are great. Jonathan is the tech that comes out. He is amazing. They've had my house bug free since 2009. They are so good. I have a contract which is really very cheap. I have the little traps all over the place for mice but I usually don't get any activity. They do a really nice job on the perimeter and they put down the granular. They are really good. The person who owned the house used them before and I continued the service with them. They are always on time. If I leave them a message, they always get back to me the same day.

+ -1 moreI love them. They are always coming out to do some sort of treatment. I guess my house likes bugs. Always on time, professional. friendly. I am so happy with everyone who works with me here. I pay extra for misquote treatments but it was $100 for six visits over the summer and that is a bargin for me!

+ -1 moreI purchased a big deal, and they came out the following week. The price was A because of the deal. I do not want to give them a bad grade because I do not really recall having any bad experience with them. I would use them again if they have a bid deal again.

+ -1 moreThe people on the phone were lovely and the person that did the treatment was courteous. I didn't know the procedure because I had not had that done before to my home. I left the house for a while because of the chemicals they put down. I called them back and asked for another treatment because the insects were not gone and the only option was for me to buy another year of service. It is a rip off because I need them to retreat what they did the first time but, they were not willing to do that. They were here and the guy worked but it did not accomplish anything. It is bad business practice offering me a year when that is not something I need. They were fine except they did not complete the work.

+ -1 moreWhat I ended up doing is purchasing a larger plan for a two-year pest control offer that they had at the same time. I have been very pleased with the services that they provide. They were very good. It's a complete package on insects, mosquitoes and rodents. They came right away whenever it worked out for both of us. I have kind of a bizarre schedule. I've just been very pleased with what they've done.
Description of Work: I used the "Big Deal" for the pest control services of Southern Pest Control. I did use it but I did not use it completely.

+ -1 moreProfessional and courteous. Very knowledge about the "bug" business but they only sell annual treatment plans. I was looking for a one time treatment for my ants which is all I need. The woman I dealt with was very responsive and portrays the company as a caring service provider - maybe next year they will include one time treatments into their product line. Good Luck - sorry we didn't work out. My quest continues.

They promised to come back if we had any further problems, which we did, and they came back shortly thereafter, so they were good to their promise. We have been using them for 20 years. + -1 moreThe tech is comes out this week to take another look at my problem. Southern pest will not go into my walls to to deal with any issues. I had had to buy extra traps, do research, and lay out a my own labyrinth of traps to catch the remaining mice.
Description of Work: I had called concerning a rodent issue in my walls. The tech came out, walked around my house for a minute a said "your house is almost secure from the outside except the a/c pipes going the my walls and the dryer vent". He did tell me I would have to buy the materials to secure these two areas of concern. It is ironic that they were the ones who did my initial rodent inspection six months ago prior to me buying my house and told my realtor that there were no issues. So I secured the two areas, which should have secured any entry points into my home. The tech laid down 2 glue traps in the basement, sprayed for spiders, and then left. Months later I still have rodents in my wall. Southern might do well with bugs but do not use them for rodents. The worst experience with a company I have ever had.

+ -1 moreThey really took control of the ant problem we had. We had them come out because of ants creating problems with our air conditioner. This was for treatment of secada bees as well. They have been very responsive when we have needed their services.

+ -1 moreIn general, they were fine. The techs that came out were always polite and professional. They generally came out within a day or two of my calls. I decided not to continue my contract with Southern Pest Control because it was extremely difficult to schedule the re-inspection that they required to renew the contract. Good for them that they're so busy that we were looking 3 months in the future to find a date that would work for the inspection. We finally got the inspection scheduled, and I hung up the phone and called another pest control company who came out to inspect the next day.
Description of Work: This was a 2-year pest control contract. They come and provide a pest control service whenever we saw too many pests. They do not control anything that flies, nor do they provide any kind of termite prevention nor warranty.
