Oxi Fresh of Columbia Carpet Cleaning

Communication with the service office was good. The technician took the time to explain the necessary treatment for the carpet. He also put in the time and effort to remove all stains on the carpet. He was courteous and professional.

They answered all my questions. They had a whole list of things that they could do additionally. They were very pleasant. We were able to schedule an appointment within a week so that was good. Their customer services was good. They responded quickly to my call.

We were very pleased with the service we received from Oxi Fresh. We were able to get an appointment within a reasonable time frame. On our service day, I received a telephone call from our technician approximately one hour prior to our appointment time who indicated we were on his list for the day and he expected that he would be at our house right on time, and he was. We had some unknown spots that showed up several days prior to our cleaning date in our family room which were impossible for me to get up with our regular carpet cleaner and the technician was able to get them up without a problem. We will definitely use Oxi Fresh again in the future.

They were extremely booked and it appeared that I would have to wait approximately one month to get my carpet cleaned. After a brief discussion, they made adjustments and agreed to an appointment four days later! My carpet looks great. John, the technician, was friendly, professional, and worked to remove a few spots from my carpet without any hesitation. I knew when I saw the carpet and thought about how accommodating they were that I had to write my first Angie's List review. Thank you Oxi Fresh!

My wife was there the entire time. John was very professional, she reports he was into doing the details of making sure things like the corners or the carpets were cleaned not just the center of the rooms.

John the technician, is also the owner of this company. He was 10 minutes early. He needed to use my sink to fill up the container with hot water. He started on the top floor and worked his way down. The system consists of spraying floor with solution with a hand pump (similar to that for weeds) and cleaning with device. The device looks like an oversized carpet sweeper with two rotating counterclockwise heads. I vacuumed prior to his arrival, which was requested of me. I moved most of the furniture out of the way to get the entire carpet cleaned. He helped me moved sofa, mattress, and crib. He took about 2 hours to do everything. He was very pleasant. During cleaning, he showed me all the clumps of fibers and hair from prior cats and dogs in this rental. The carpet looked markedly cleaner and fluffier. The room did smell fresh. Although almost two weeks from cleaning, high traffic areas still look somewhat dull like prior to cleaning. The stained areas from prior cat urine is still there. He did offer an enzyme deodorizer, which I declined. Overall I am still pleased with the results. I am still leery of this spray on system. I do understand that this is chemical (oxidizing agent) and mechanical (the bristles) cleaning. Would I do it again? Probably not..

Oxi Fresh professionally cleaned the carpets, and made several excellent recommendations on how to keep the carpets clean. We would definately use this service again.

It went beautifully. Scheduling was easy. John from Oxi-Fresh was very professional and friendly, called in the morning to confirm when he would be arriving. He reviewed the process and went to work. He finished in about two hours and the carpets looked great - much better than the last cleaning we had by Stanley Steemer. As promised the carpet had far less moisture than normal and was pretty much dry a couple of hours later. When my wife arrived home from work she also was quite pleased with the quality of the job. Will definitely be calling Oxi-Fresh to come out again in the fall.

They were on time, and did what they said they could do. We had a new puppy that left some stains in the carpet. The quality of the work was excellent.

The individual was very professional and understood the carpet cleaning process. He did very through job and I will plan to use the again in the future.

I could not be happier with Oxi Fresh's work in my townhouse. I put in all new carpets when I bought the house, lived there for 5 years and did my best to keep shoes off of them, and frequently cleaned; however, after moving out the carpets still looked dingey and smelled musty...especially in the basement. So to get the house ready to rent, I scoured Angie's list for a good company to come in and clean them. I liked the Angie's List Big Deal Oxi Fresh had running (4 rooms/800 sq.ft. for $129), and the fact that they're a green company so I purchased the deal. Oxi Fresh got me on the books and came out to do the work. I was not at the house when they came, but my dad said the man who did the work was very friendly and professional, and very punctual. The finished product is amazing. The carpets look like they did 5 years ago when I bought them, and there's no more musty smell when I walk in the house. PLUS I paid less than what my brother paid a different (non-green) company to clean the carpets in his much smaller condo. Fabulous!!

I had purchased this service through Angies List and paid for it. When the man came to do the carpets he charged me full price and said he had no record of the Angies List purchase. After a week of playing phone tag and emailing them a receipt that they had personally sent me, they finally agreed to refund part of what I paid.

The technician arrived on time and did a great job. However, he was a talker so the job took longer than it should have. I enjoyed talking to him, but it did distract him from getting started. Once he started, he did a great job. I would just advise to let him get started without conservation.

We used them through a big deal on Angie's List. The carpet looks great. They did a really good job. My wife tells me that they were polite. They were very quick; it didn’t take them anytime at all. I had moved most of the heavy stuff, the furniture and stuff like that so that they could get more to the carpet that needed cleaning. They put some of it back when they were done. Overall, they did a great job. My wife was happy with them. With regard to quality, overall I am happy with it. They were here on time. They were quite professional and explained everything. We would certainly have them out again if we need work done again.

I purchased a "Big Deal" and was given the choice of several appointment times. A few days later I had to change the appointment and there was no problem. On the appointment day, John very kindly called that morning to say he might be a little early. He arrived shortly before the appointment time and was very friendly and courteous. He looked over the areas to be cleaned and asked if I wanted to include the stairs. He moved some of the smaller furniture which I had not be able to do, and proceeded to work efficiently and thoroughly. He was a very pleasant man and I enjoyed chatting with him - even my cat came out and purred! I would certainly hire Oxy Fresh again.

Their service technician was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. He was on time and the actual service went very well and he were actually able to remove quite a bit of dirt from carpets directly.

The employee came right on schedule. Came in, looked at the areas that needed cleaning and went over the process with me. He also gave me a little history about the company and made sure I understood the process. We had some VERY dirty spots on the carpet, the told me how he would treat them. I was hoping for them to get a little clean, but the results were amazing! Spots that have been on the carpet since last fall were removed. When he encountered a difficult spot, he asked what I thought that spot was and then used a specific treatment to make sure he could treat it as best as he could. The carpets look great and it was a very short drying time. I am very pleased with this company and would recommend to anyone looking to get their carpets cleaned. We can now wait a little longer to replace the light carpet as the cleaning made it look much better!

It went well, they were professional and on time!

our This was the worst rug cleaning that we had ever experienced. The technician must have used the wrong mix of chemicals and enzymes. The rug had machine streaks all over it. We could not remove them by vacuuming. Perhaps the technician's machine was dirty from previous jobs. the technician came back the next day to try to fix the problem. It did not work. The streaks and marks remained. We though that our rugs were ruined. We thought to go back to Oxy Fresh, but the invoice stated that their liability was only for the amount paid for service and did not include consequential damages from their errors. So as a last resort, I thought that the stiffer bristles of an outdoor broom might work. So we took the brush part of the broom off, and got down on our knees and brushed the 3 rooms with the stiff brush. That worked better than the vacuum. It took the better part of a day to do the entire carpet, so the rugs are not back to presentable, but only after an extensive rehab job by us. This outcome was not what we expected from OxyFresh. We feel that they misrepresented their product and services. We will never use them again. Angie's List should reconsider their recommendation of this vendor.
