Oxi Fresh of Columbia Carpet Cleaning

This guy was great! He looked at the job made the "dirt" assessment and suggested an additional treatment course of action which was refused with out conflict from him. He did the work and left. The carpets were quite soiled due to lack of care from the renter and the house being unoccupied for a period of time. On a scale from 1-10 (ten being the perfection score) the carpets now, in my estimation, hover around a 6. I am quite pleased, and the fragrance filled the house with a pleasing scent. II highly recommend thr man from Westminster.

It went well. I didn't pay anything extra. It was exactly what they had quoted. When they sprayed the stain protection, it made the carpet a little bit stiff, whereas before, it was pretty soft. I don't know what they used. But, I noticed it was a little stiff after they used it. The workers were excellent.

Provider was very accommodating. Had a problem when he came out and he rescheduled and came back.

I wasn't really happy with that. I told them the spots that were soiled in the carpet and they still didn't get the stains out. They left and then called and offered to come back, but my husband had already done it. They were very responsive and professional.

I arranged for carpet cleaning through an Angies List special deal. I thought the cleaners were to come on Jan. 12, and I called to see why they hadn't shown up at the scheduled time. The company had me down for the next day, and I complained that they were wrong, and I was expecting them that day. They made room for me and did actually come on the day I complained. I later discovered that they had been right, and that I had been mistaken about the date. So, I think they accommodated me very well. As to the actual cleaning, it was just okay. I had pointed out dirty spots to them before the cleaning, and they contended that they had gotten the spots out. As it was late in the afternoon by then, and the light wasn't at its strongest, they did look fairly clean. By the next day, though, when the carpets had dried, the spots were still there. The other areas of the carpet were clean, but I was disappointed that the spots were still there. I did not report the spots to the company, but I eventually removed them myself with an oxygen-based product.

They arrived on time and did good work. There were some tough-to-clean spots on the couch (thanks to a slobbery dog) but he took his time and worked hard to get them off. Overall, I'd highly recommend.

Prompt, courteous, great service

Our office carpet was very dirty and the Oxi Clean system made no difference in the appearance after the cleaning. We knew the carpet would not look new but we saw no difference at all. While Oxi Fresh of Columbia was on time and came back a second time to try and correct the problems, the cleaning system they used was awful. We had a similar problem with the bedroom. Most of the bedroom needed light cleaning with only a few areas that were more soiled. The soiled areas looked the same after cleaning as before the cleaning. The carpet also had a shark tooth pattern all over the rug. After the first cleaning of the family room there was a shark tooth patter left in the entire carpet. We vacuumed the carpet as requested by Oxi Clean. But after 4 times being vacuumed the patter was still in the rug. We called Oxi Clean and they came back on schedule to clean the rug again. This time they sprayed fabric softener before cleaning the rug. Once again the shark teeth patter was in the rug. Oxi clean said the pattern would be taken out when vacuumed. Once again we vacuumed the rug 4 or 5 times. Again the pattern did not come out. We were having a party that week and Oxi Clean could not come back in time to try and fix the rug. They said the only other thing they could try was cleaning with plain water, My wife was so upset she never wanted to see them again. Our steps, which were not very soiled, looked awful after the cleaning. You could see where the cleaning solution rand down the risers from the flat part of the step. The edges of the steps looked Shredded. Oxi clean sprayed fabric softener on the steps when they returned which helped some but left the steps feeling sticky and different colors. I really feel we wasted our money on the Oxi Clean Carpet System. We have always used Chem Dry with great success. We had read so much about Oxi Clean quick dry and clean system we decided to give it a try. We will never use this system again.

I was not very happy. I called them up and I told them that I was so shocked that they just had a machine that came in and just beat on the carpets, which actually damaged the carpets. I had to end up cleaning after them. They use no fluids basically because they say that ruins because of mild dew and mold. So, they won't use that. Long story short, they did refund my money. There was an additional cost of a couple of hundred dollars. I looked at the ad online and I looked at the ad in the book that came. In both instances, the equipment that was shown as the cleaner was not what they used. What they used was just a thing that comes in with two big brushes and beats the carpeting. It beats it. It doesn't suck it out. My high pressure wind vacuum cleaner took out more than their stuff. That's what upset me. When the guy showed up, I said, "Where's the truck?" He said, "Oh, we don't use that kind of system." I said, "Well, that's what it showed on Angie's List." He said, "Well, Angie's List must have put something in there to indicate carpet cleaning," which was not their system. They had no way of sucking dirt out. There were two large brushes, maybe two and a half inches in diameter, very stiff, that just went through beating, one clockwise, one counter clockwise towards each other. I had all this fuzz left all over the carpeting, which was a mess. I have 100% wool carpeting. It just brought it at all up and I had to go and clean all that up. When the guy left I said, "Is there anything I should be doing?" He said, "Oh, no. Everything will be fine." Well, it wasn't. My granddaughter said, "This is like walking on sand." It was almost crunchy crunchy. That remained until I took my high pressure vacuum cleaner. I got dirt out when they had supposedly finished cleaning. I was upset because it was not what I expected. The equipment that I saw on the ad was not what they had. I have a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a den, four bedrooms, a hallway, a stairs and a family room. I had to go over everything. They did give me my money back. So that was nice. I said to him that maybe they should check to see what the ad shows because anybody else seeing that ad would think that they're getting the kind where they come in and they have the big suction machines to suck all the dirt out, which is not what they used. He said, "Well, everybody has good reports. Everybody likes us." I said, "Well, that's good for them."

The guy was great very nice and was in and out in know time at all. I am just not sure this type of carpet cleaning does as good a job as some of the others I have used. I must say however that my carpet is older and I understand that some stains etc will not come out. Overall, it did a fairly good job considering.

The technician arrived on schedule. He explained the carpet cleaning process and what to expect. He inquired if I wanted scotch guard applied to the carpets. I declined. The job was done in an efficient manner and rather quickly. Once dried the carpets were actually cleaner than the last time the carpets were professionally cleaned. Sorry, I do forget the tech's name but he was pleasant and professional.

Tech showed up on time, in an car which initially thought was odd, was wearing an Oxi Fresh uniform and introduced himself. Explained the process and went to work! Turned out very well, definitely different than traditional carpet cleaning but it works.

I purchased the upholstery package on Angie's List. The company contacted me the next day to schedule the service. The technician contacted me the day before he came out to confirm the time. He was a few minutes early and the furniture ended up clean.

The provider representative arrived on time and looked at the areas to be cleaned. He went over the procedures with me and got right to work. He did a great job pre-treating and cleaning the high traffic areas and the stained areas. He worked quickly and quietly and the carpet looked and smelled great when he was done. The high traffic areas took a bit longer to dry but the rest of the carpet dried in about an hour.

The Oxiclean technician arrived exactly when he said he would. He and I reviewed the area to be cleaned. He moved a table that I thought was too big to be moved. The service took a little over 2 1/2 hours. The rugs look new. Everything dried in about an hour. Oxiclean leaves NO smell behind, for which I am very grateful. I have a large and active dog that we sometimes call pig-pen. There was no evidence that pig had ever been upstairs when the Oxiclean tech was finished. I was very delighted..

On time, great job. Used them before, will use them again
