Description of Work: Company came and provided an estimate for tiles to be replaced in my laundry room. I was told that I would be emailed an estimate. I waited over a week and still no estimate. I called and told that they would get it out to me. I received it that day and it was very high.

Description of Work: Took a proactive position to communicate. I had to call 4 times to get this completed.Idiscussed and signed contract with the VP Mike Criddle and he was prompt, courteous, informative and quite professional. However, I received 2 subsequent calls from Linda who apparently had never seen the signed contract. On the day scheduled via a call to Mike no one showed. Whatever the problem, the crew came the next day and did a great job. One of the crew went as far as to crawl up into the attic and spray for mold. Prospective buyers of Angie's List services must realize that they cash your check/credit card the day they receive it not when the service is completed. In my case they had my money for almost a month and a half before the work was done. Also, read the fine print as there are a # of costs with most jobs that aren't very obvious. In my case I had to purchase 2 new skylights and pay extra because one roof was over a 60 degree angle. All in all a good deal in the end- I would use both companies if I need to!

Description of Work: put in a 1/2 bath and finished the basement. Took a bit of time to get going since the deal was so popular but the end product exceeded expectations.

Description of Work: The deal was for $89 for 2 hours of handyman services. (I'd purchased a similar deal with this business a year or so ago and had been very pleased with the service.) Because I underestimated how long it would take this time to to all the jobs on my list (and one of the jobs--assembling 2 cabinets took more than an hour), I went ahead and purchased an additional hour on my own, pursuant to the contract, so that I could get completed all the jobs I needed done. In addition to the cabinets, the handyman assembled my new vacuum cleaner, attached a towel bar in the bathroom, and hung a wall hanging on a very high spot on my landing wall. All the tasks were done well, and I had no misgivings about having spent the additional $75 to have my house looking the way I want it to, with quality work.

Description of Work: He spent time on a problem that wasn't on my list but he did the best he could and it helped until I can get a plumber. I was very pleased with our discussion and the results that I received. Professional and a genuine helpful attitude.

Description of Work: We purchased the two-hour handyman service for $89. The gentleman who came to our house was punctual (important to me). We briefly reviewed what we wanted to have done (remove old drawstring curtains/rods and replace with new rods and curtains, dispose of old rods; fix kitchen cabinet door), but he was already aware of what was to be done - came fully equipped to do the job, was totally knowledgeable about what and how to do the job; immediately set to work, and completed the jobs very quickly. He was careful to tidy up after he was finished with each job; he was courteous and respectful of our surroundings. I would certainly welcome this gentleman back for any handyman tasks we needed to have done. I can't speak for the other areas of work the company does, but if this gentleman is representative of their other employees, then I would certainly hire them as well.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for $6,499 for a Complete New Roof with a Lifetime Warranty!

Description of Work: Did a great job. Took longer than expected because company is very busy. Other jobs scheduled at the same time. Quality of workmanship was A1.

Description of Work: The price was excellent compared to what my neighbors paid for the same service by other roofers. Although dates were postponed due to whether conditions, they stuck with their word and was very courteous and cleaned up behind themselves.

Description of Work: Filled 21 woodpecker holes on my Cedarhouse with filler and caulked as well as added just to be nice getting leaves off my deck painted the wood sill with wood life to ensure protection through the winter and hung a solid wood door with all clean up!

Description of Work: Don was VERY responsive. He helped me with all kinds of handyman stuff! He assembled a dining room table and stools, hung a kitchen basket, fixed my vacuum cleaner, and more. I definitely would use them again.

Description of Work: Roof Maintenance: Main request was maintenance on Ridge vents due to leaking. |Worker arrived on time, friendly and proceeded to attend to the problems. Next day, as it turns out, rained very hard, and leaking continued. No followup from company. Decided to use another company. I think the date is right, I know it was a Sunday...I did not try to re-contact the Company. |
