Estimator TJ came out the day after I called the office. He understood exactly what we wanted and made some helpful suggestions, such as adding a small concrete section near the garage door to eliminate possible erosion from water off the roof. Estimated job duration was 1 to 2 days. Work started 3 weeks later and work was complete by noon on second day. Forms were removed the following day, soil was backfilled, and grass seed was planted. We could walk on the concrete in 1 day and drive on it after 10 days. All the workers were friendly and professional. They were respectful of our property and minimized damage to ground cover and shrubs. (Contract makes it clear some damage may be unavoidable.) We are extremely happy with the results and our neighbors are impressed as well.

We collected several bids for our driveway project. Regarding price, the quote from F&M was in the middle. Wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive. What distinguished F&M from the rest was their courteous, professional, and sincere involvement in the design of the new driveway and during the construction. We already had a basic design drawn up, but TJ and Ben offered numerous suggestions for enhancing the style and improving the functionality of the layout. Our new driveway design had almost no straight portions and we were pleased that F&M was so agreeable to building in all the curves that we wanted. The most significant design improvement that they suggested was to excavate a significant amount of soil under the driveway to reduce the slope to make it more drivable and to level out the basketball playing area. Ben from F&M is an expert on grading driveways for style and proper rain runoff. The whole crew was very respectful and didn't seem to mind me hovering over them as they were working and for asking so many questions. When it came time to make design decisions during the construction, they always consulted with me first. They also were very mindful of how the driveway would best blend into the lawn, and they graded the lawn back for a more pleasing appearance. The final product and the experience exceeded our expectations. I have already recommended F&M to many people. During the project, we asked them to do extra excavation work that was not included in the original bid with the understanding that they would bill us fairly for it. The extra fee they charged for this out-of-contract excavation work was very reasonable. Otherwise, the final cost would have been the same as the estimate. I recommend including in the quote a 4-inch deep small-stone (dust) base instead of the standard 2-3 inches. This added $500 to my quote but I'm told by a civil engineer that it is worth it. I also recommend replacing the standard 3-foot wide walkway with a 4-foot walkway. F&M is very good at building curved walkways. Ours looks great.

Punctual as far as initially getting to the house to look at the project. They apparently were not interested in doing the job since they only do replacement driveways. Real specialists.

Andy was really great. He helped me to develop a plan that would work for my oddly placed driveway. He came out ahead of time to mark the perimeter of the drive with spray paint and had us use it for a few days prior to doing the work. He was very concerned that the sidewalk curve was to my liking and spent time making everything level. He even seeded the area.

Very professional. On time and polite. Price was in the mid-range of other bids. Did a great job. Outstanding clean-up and post-completion follow-up. A pleasure to do business with

First contact was friendly & professional. I was to be contacted within 2 days by a employee who would schedule the estimation. After 2 weeks I received a call from one of their contractors who told me he would consider doing my project on the side, that F & M decided not to take on my job. I never heard from F & M directly. Very disappointing.

Outstanding company. My driveway isn't a standard one; it has a sharp turn and steep incline toward a garage, with an existing water drainage area near my house. Took a few weeks to get an estimate, but it was worth the wait. The owner and crew were extremely polite and accommodating, neat, showed up on time, left my property clean and orderly, replaced a damaged drain pipe and gave me a super new driveway in less than 2 days. They new driveway is graded perfectly (for water drainage). Even the follow-up visit to remove the cement forms and to re-seed the grass areas was done quickly and well. I highly recommend F&M.
