Description of Work: I had scheduled Roy's to come to my house to give me an estimate. After several hours went by and no one showed, I called and was told the guy who was supposed to meet me had problems with his vehicle and couldn't make it. I rescheduled for the next week. Again, no one showed. Later in the day someone from Roy's called and left a message saying they got overwhelmed with work and asked me to call to reschedule. I did not as having failed twice to show up, I did not trust that they ever would and consider it extremely unprofessional that they did not call before the appointment to tell me there were problems and did not make an extra effort to make it the second time around.

Description of Work: They painted several rooms in my house. The punctuality was beyond their control. It snowed and they were not able to get to the house. I was inconvenienced over the weekend and had to sleep in another bedroom because my bedroom had been been torn down and prepped for painting. Overall, they did an excellent and professional job. I will use them again for some additional rooms I need painted.

Description of Work: I had my master bedroom painted. The initial painter I think his name was Alex was awesome he showed up on time and did a great job. However there was a spot that needed to be touched up so the two painters that came back smelled like a box of cigarettes and so did my house after they left.

+ 0 moreOverall the quality of the painting was decent. I have some issues w/ bathroom and powder rm. The bathrooms were originally painted in a dark colors. After the completion of the job, I noticed that the darker paint was showing through the new. The painters return to site and added another coat of paint. Day later, I still see the darker paint. Called them again, and they claimed the walls needed a 3rd coat of paint. Second and third coats are additional $75. I'm still not impressed with the work done, in one of the bathrooms. I was also disappointed with their cleanliness. They sprinkled my hardwood kitchen floors with paint. It appears that they cleaned their paint brushes or rollers in my kitchen sink and left trash in the kitchen. After choosing a deck stain they recommended, they informed me that the stain would not take. They Tested the stain in an noticeable spot versus an inconspicuous location. Description of Work: Painting completed 8/28 (re-sale purchase-empty house). Took approximate 3 days to complete. Painted family and living rooms, foyer, kitchen, all bedrooms, hallway/stairway and bathrooms. Power washed and stained deck. Regarding bathrooms, they claimed they used primer prior to painting. I find this hard to believe, since I can still see darker paint showing through. I also believe they put a hole in my closet door. The hole was not present two days prior to work. No one claimed to know how the damaged occurred.

I found it appalling that the company refused to stand behind the written estimate that Bill Cummings, a man with over 50 years experienced in the painting business, gave for the proposed job. Moreover, the failure of someone from company to return my phone call in an effort to resolve the matter was very disconcerting. I was surprised at the lack of professionalism exhibited by the employees I dealt with.
Description of Work: I asked for an est. to paint 2 BRs. After arriving about 1 hour late for the scheduled appointment, the estimator (who said he had over 50 yrs experience) gave me a price that I thought was reasonable. In discussing the work that I wanted performed, I stressed that I wanted 2 coats of paint applied, because of the new colors that I'd chosen for the rooms. I even showed the estimator paint chip samples of the colors. On the day before the job was to be performed, the receptionist left a message on my answering machine saying that there would be an additional charge of $75 per room, because the estimate given was for 1 coat of paint. When I returned the call and spoke to someone who said that he was the "scheduler," I pointed out that the written estimate clearly stated that 2 coats were to be applied. He said that I should call back and speak with the estimator, & I asked that the estimator call me instead. I never heard back from anyone at the company, so I hired another painter.
