Called McCall based on reviews on Angies's List and proximity and left a message - got an immediate call back, spoke with the service supervisor and explained the problem. He then called me back about 10-15 minutes later and told me that a technician was en-route. Technician showed up roughly an hour later, looked the situation over, added an access to the vent line to facilitate the snaking operation. Cleared the obstruction, tested from both kitchen and laundry room to make sure that even the clothes washer drain cycle did not cause a problem. Technician was quite professional, explained what he thought the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it the problem. Excellent service and the price was reasonable (or as reasonable as any plumber would be) particularly considering the quick response. Would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others

The night before the service call noticed that the outside parking area was wet - this usually means a problem with the plastic pipe to the outside faucets which is located in storage shed connected to house. Called early Friday morning. McCalls was able to fit me in that day - they came out while I was gone (had another appointment). They fixed the problem and left everything in good working order. I can always count on them to come out when needed.

I have been having a problem with roots clogging my main sewer line for about a year. The last time I called McCall and the techs ran a camera. Raul and William diagnosed the problem and made a recommendation. The appointment for the fix was made and Jorge and Able did the job on time and on budget. All four of these workers left the work area as they found it. I am very satisfied and recommend this company for any plumbing problem

My experience with B McCall Plumbing and Heating was good. The Two men arrived at my house on time. They were very nice and friendly. I call because I had a problem with my hotwater heater pilot light would not light, They replaced some wires. It took them about 45 min to fix the problem. I would call this company again.

This was the best experience ever! Mr. McCall called me personally to discuss my specific situation. I had a WSSC subcontractor damage the line during routine sewer replacement. They installed a faulty repair and the line leaked water for months, until I got a huge water bill. I explained all of this to Mr. McCall, who actually believed I knew what I was talking about. He sent a fabulous employee out who dug exactly where I indicated the faulty repair was, and in short time, uncovered it. He then proceeded to correctly repair about a 3 foot length of pipe and connections and ... no more leaks. Mr. McCall even provided me with the section of faulty pipe and wrote a letter indicating what caused the leak. I used this information to reduce a $2500 water bill down to what an average 6 months usage would be and also provided assistance for my claim with the subcontractor. Very reasonable pricing also, I should also mention. He was clear and upfront about the cost from the beginning, no hedging about what he might find after they dug into the ground a bit. I have been singing his praises since then!

Coming home on Friday night after a long week to find your water heater leaking through your ceiling is extremely stressful. B McCall made the experience as pleasant as it could be dealing with an unexpected expense. First, I had no idea who to contact to fix the water heater. Second, I arrived home after 7 pm so I was concerned that I would not reach anyone. I found B McCall's on Angie's List and decided to call after reading reviews on several companies. I also liked that the office was located near my house. I left a message and received a return call quickly. The gentleman asked me the necessary questions and scheduled a time. He also gave me an approximate cost for the replacement. They arrived at the designated time. I mistakenly told them that I had an electric water heater, but it is gas. They, however, were able to do the work without delay. Someone else (I think B McCall.) brought the correct water heater while the gentlemen already here removed the old one. The estimate, of course, was revised because gas water heaters are more expensive. However, the difference wasn't extreme. I also was informed of any additional adjustments that needed to be made during the installation because of changes in the housing code. Again, that increased the price but not by much. Also, the adjustments were not unusual because the house is over 40 years old and the water heater was over 20. Everything was explained to me before, during, and after the installation. They cleaned up all the trash and removed it from the property. The only thing that didn't happen was that I did not receive my inspection card in the mail. After the installation was complete, the gentleman did explain that I should receive one and that I had to schedule an inspection. Anyway, I contacted the office to report that I had not received one, and the employee mailed one to me immediately. I scheduled the inspection, and the inspector said everything was fine. I haven't had any problems in the 2 months since the work was done. (I'm sure people gave me their names but I don't remember.) I would recommend B McCall. I received prompt and professional service. Everyone was knowledgeable and polite. I have other plumbing needs and will consider them when time and money permits for the work to be done.

I contacted B McCall Plumbing around 8:15 this morning. Receptionist was pleasant and I got a return call about 10 minutes later from Mr. McCall. I was given an estimate over the phone regarding the cost of the work to be performed. Initially, they were going to snake the toilet as well but found it cracked/damaged and were worried about additional issues under the broken toilet. They gave me an immediate quote on labor and replacement, went to their supply center to pickup the toilet and came back and installed it. The work was professional, the plumber pleasant and got right to work on the problems. The area was very clean when he left and I was very happy with the work provided.

We had an emergency leak in a rental property. I didn't know who to call for this and looked here for recommendations. From the start I got a good gut feeling from B McCall. They came over on Saturday morning, cut small holes into the drywall to find the problem, were able to salvage the insulation, and fix the problem. They also waived their Saturday fee and honored the Angie's List coupon. Overall, I just thought their responsiveness and knowledge was excellent and the price quite fair. I am quite happy to recommend them to neighbors, and they will certainly be my first call if ever another plumbing issue arises.

The old toilet was leaking on the floor and would not flush. We contacted McCall Plumbing (from Angie's list advertisement). They (Vicki)provided a estimate over the phone to replace the toilet with a new, standard replacement unit that they could provide. We verified the basic specifications for the toilet (gpf, round, height, brand) with Vicki and were satisfied with the unit. We scheduled an appointment during the week (weekends cost a bit more) and were given a 4 hours window (8am-noon). McCall Plumbing arrived at on time at 9am. McCall Plumbing staff (Noe and assistant) were professional. Noe replaced the unit in a timely manner and had us verify the work. We are very happy with the unit, and the service provided by McCall Plumbing and Heating. Noe provided an excellent service and answered all our questions. We are happy and plan to recommend McCall Plumbing and Heating (via Angie's List) in the future.

My first estimate was from Michael and Sons for $15,250. Called a friend who recommended B. McCall and the estimate came in at $6300. We were thrilled. They were very prompt and efficient. They unclogged the sewer without even a splatter inside my house...unlike Michael and Sons who had to spend an hour cleaning when the job was finished. (We had the same backup 6 months before and didn't make it until we had all the money saved up to fix it...got to pay twice for unclogging, YAY me for forward thinking...

The repairmen arrived on time, completed the work within estimated time frame and left the area clean. Both gentlemen were very professional and answered all of my questions. I will definately use them again in the future. Cost of pump and labor were comparable to other contractors.

I called and they came on time and diagnosed the problem and fixed it. When they had to come back the company owner came with them and made sure it was done right. When they re-installed the toilet they made sure it would not leak again even if it backed up.

wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy, its ridiculous you get a half a** job ... Call around before thinking of hiring them

Chose this company because on Angies list it stated that they gave free estimates and a 5% senior discount. Called to make appointment and found out that a flat fee of $120 plus parts was charged. The senior discount was applied only after spending $500 or more. Appointment made for 2/28/13 but technician not able to come due to unforseen problems at another job. Was kept abreast of situation by B McCall and given the option of cancelling but decided to make another appointment for next day. Technician came next day within the scheduled time frame and performed job in timely manner. Will use this company again if needed.

Before the work was done, I explained the work needed and received approx. cost of each job. Raul arrived on time and was very professional and informative of the work that he was doing. I would use their services again.

I had the main line in my home backup on 2/6/13 at 7:00 p.m. Water was coming through the shower drain. I called McCall's and they returned my call within 30 minutes. He told me what to do until they could come out the next day. The owner called me at 7:00 a.m. to check on the situation and told me that he would call with the arrival time. The crew arrived at 8:15 a.m. and had the work completed by 10:30 a.m. They had to remove the toilet and snake the drain to clear the blockage. They were very considerate about taking extra care to prevent any dirt or mess. They cleaned everything as well as I would have. They are extremely professional and courteous. They also did some minor repairs to my sink while they were here. I highly recommend this company without any reservations.

They arrived a few minutes early. One plumber worked on the downstairs toilet while the other one worked on the upstairs shower. The total time for the repairs was approximately 1:30mins.

I had a sink that was stopped up. This happened on a Saturday around 3pm. I called McCall's Plumbing just as they were about to close. They agreed to come right out so that I would not have to wait the entire weekend. They arrived in about 10 minutes. They were very professional and friendly. They were very thorough in cleaning up everything. While they were here, we discussed another issue that I had and gave me recommendations for the problem. I would most definitely use them again.

I called the Friday before Christmas and they were fully booked that day, but the plumber that I spoke to was very pleasant and after hearing about my problem, he said that they were working until Noon on Christmas Eve and that he would be able to take care of me then. He did ask that I call to remind them Monday morning in case calls over the weekend mistakenly knocked me off the list. I called Christmas Eve morning after they opened and I was indeed mistakenly left off the list b/c of weekend requests. The guy I spoke to said that he would take care of me as promised on Friday. The plumber came out Christmas Eve morning and quickly repaired the faucet, so he was obviously very knowledgeable. There was no need to even shut off the water to my unit. He explained that the issue was from a safety switch of some sort that was in some showers as a result of a scolding incident from a child in DC many years ago. The other plumbing company who made an emergency repair back on Labor Day weekend obviously had not repaired the faucet correctly. Not sure if B McCall has emergency service or not, but I wish I had called B McCall in the first place. I look forward to using them in again in the future. All plumbing repairs seem high to me, but at least B McCall's prices did not seem extremely high to me as other plumbers have in the past. I highly recommend the company to anyone with plumbing issues.

Contacted provider to schedule service. Person who answered phone was courteous and professional, received appointment immediately.Repairman was courteous and professional in demeanor however,I was disappointed at lack of professional inquiry and initiative in resolving two of the three problems identified. Performed visiual inspection of site indicated as leaking. Advised that water was coming from tub in master bathroom. Showed him marking on floor indicating where water was before on floor and advised that checked pipe above and it was wet. Didn't turn on water to check but said it couldn't be coming from the tub. Couldn't offer any specifics as to other possible source. Didn't check further. Showed him guest bath toilet and demonstrated overflow when flushed, also showed him shifting water tube under edge of stool bowl. Asked if it was broken or required replacement - he indicated he had never seen anything like that before. Replaced flapper in master bath toilet.
