The guys over at B. McCall including Brian himself are terrific! When I called Brian I did not expect for him to be able to come out to my house so soon but he came out the very next morning with one of his guys to just take a look at the problem. He suggested snaking the laundry line and putting a camera through the pipe in order to determine the root cause of the problem. They snaked the line and noted that the pipe had not been tied in with the mainline to the public sewer system. Since I have an older house (built in the 1940s), apparently no one knew or it was just forgotten that the laundry line was separate from the house's main discharge pipe and it also needed to be put on public sewer. Brian and his guys warned that the snaking may not rectify the problem and if it did not they spelled out a couple of options with the pros and cons of each. Within two days, I called Brian to let me know that snaking the line did not work, so, we moved to one of the options: digging up my front yard to repair the busted pipe while tying it in with the public sewer system. Brian told me that the amount I paid for the snaking would be deducted from the repair charge. Needless to say the repair has worked like a charm. Couple of side notes: Brian mentioned he grew up in our little area and he actually remembered painting the inside of my house many years ago. Also, one of the plumbers actually remembered coming to my house when I first purchased it several years ago. It made me feel as if they treated me and my house with care and respect. If ever I need any plumbing work done, Brian and the guys will get a call from me.

They did a good professional job from start to finish. The communication was good -before, during and after. Mr. McCall was not on site but did have employees do the work and he came by to inspect the work they performed. My only problem was their original recommendation to replace the fire sprinkler backflow (with a new backflow that doesn't need an inspection every year). This was a misguided recommendation because I still need to have my outside lawn sprinkler backflow inspected every year anyway. It doesn't seem like it would cost much more to have the fire backflow inspected at the same time as my lawn backflow so there doesn't seem to be a need to replace the fire backflow.

I asked a follow up question and never got a response.

They were upfront and easy to get a hold of.

They arrived on time the day before Thanksgiving. They were good about letting the dog sniff them before they came in the house. That's important if you have a dog. They installed a vanity, sink, faucet and toliet. I already had the items, so I was charged for installation. They explained that they had to cut the base wall tile to have the vanity up against the wall. They did a professional job and would highly recommend and use them the next time I have plumbing needs.

We had a window of 8-12 AM for scheduled visit. Raul came at 8:30. After showing him the area of the leak and the master bath, he entered the back of the shower plumbing from a very small opening in an adjacent closet. We never knew that access was there; almost 30 years in this house. He explained that there were two options. He would first try to repair the drain from this closet area. If not successful, he would have to make an opening in the laundry room ceiling and approach from there. With his skill and I guess some luck on our part, he fixed the leak from that very small access door in the closet and replaced the drain in the bathtub. He cleaned up area very well. In all, took about an hour or so. Very pleased with the work. Thanks Raul. Would call again.

It had been some time since my wife and had been able to use the shower in the master bedroom because we had noticed water leaking from the ceiling in our foyer. We called B. McCall on a Friday and an appointment was schedule for Monday to fit our family's schedule. The plumber arrived as planned and investigated the hole on the first floor and the shower upstairs. He determined that the drain pipe itself was damaged and needed to be replaced. He proceeded to check for parts in his truck and returned to start the work. He a tarp on the floor to protect the flooring from debris and water, expanded the hole in the ceiling just big enough to work in, and replaced both the pipe and drain fixtures. The work was completed in about an hour. We have had no trouble out of the shower since and the work looks great. No problem with the level of service received but plumbing is expensive. The work cost us about $260 but this is consistent with the cost of similar work by other contractors we have worked with in the past.

Very good experience. The company had someone to come out to inspect the problem the same day I called. The representative who did the work was professional and came as scheduled. I got an estimate from another company but that company was slightly highter than B. McCall.

The plumber crew came on-time and completed work within a few hours. They made sure to clean-up their work area when finished.

Once it was determined that my water leakage was due to a leaking water main pipe. I first received a quote from one plumber who told me the good deal of the yard would have to be dug up and he would probably have to insert a new pipe by redirecting it into the house to avoid damaging steps. After researching plumbers on Angie's list, Checkbook, and Service Magic and reading all the reviews, I decided to call McCall Plumbing. The owner Brian McCall came out first thing in the morning. He discussed at length with me the steps that needed to be taken to find the leak, and ways to limit the damage. When I mentioned that the other plumber told me that a new pipe may have to be redirected into the house, Mr. McCall stated that a new pipe could be inserted into the old pipe so no new trenching would have to be done. He broke down his quote into the various possibilities that could be discovered so I could have a clearer picture of what the cost could be. The other plumber only gave me one price and stated that it could be higher based on what they discovered. At least with McCall, I had a range. The other plumber also stated that he would have to dig all across the yard to the water main outside. Mr. McCall suggested starting near the sewage drain since the pipes are generally run side by side and it was closer to the house. By doing this, he was able to determine right a way that the leak was under the house and not out in the yard, which eliminated a big section of my yard from being dug up. I had my water back on within 24 hours just as promised. Mr. McCall's team did an excellent job and I was very pleased. I think the most important factor that made me choose his company was that he took the time to educate me on what was going to happen and why.

I noticed that my water heater seemed to have sprung a small leak. Mr. McCall came to the house, looked at it and said it would only get worse and as it was more than 15 years old it needed to be replaced. The next day two employees came to the house and replaced the heater. The work was done in just several hours, the workers were polite and extremely clean. The cost was in line with other Angie's List plumbers and less expensive than some. The next job was more difficult. The drain in my basement where the condensation from the air conditioner drains became plugged and there was water in the basement. A McCall employee came to the house and snaked the drain and found the trap beneath the concrete floor had collapsed and said the concrete would have to be broken up to get to the trap. He rigged a temporary solution and the next day two workers arrived. Using a jack hammer they broke up the floor, found the problem was restricted to the trap, replaced the trap and poured new concrete flooring. They were extremely efficient and amazingly clean. When they finished my basement was far cleaner and looked far better than before they arrived. The entire job, which I feared would take a matter of days was finished in a few hours and the cost was less than a third of what I thought might be the lowest estimate. They did an excellent job. I will continue to use this plumber for all my plumbing needs. He's fast, smart and his prices are more than competitive. His employees are extremely competent, friendly and well spoken.
