TSR was very professional in their virtual demo, I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about their services.

The team at Tri State Restorations was punctual, friendly and helped explain the process of how they were going to get rid of the water and ensure my basement was going to be free of mold build up due to the water. Most important to me was they showed empathy to what I was going through and how my flood was disrupting my life. While I don't wish what happened to me on anyone else, I would definitely refer Tri State's services to any of my family and friends in the event they are victims of any disaster recovery situations.

My landlord called Tri State to come out and do a mold inspection because we had a leaky pipe that was fixed. They came out and performed their tests very quickly, turned out we didn't have any mold issues and didn't really need their services. I would hire again in the future if I needed to!

We were in the process of remodeling our house and found a bunch of mold behind the drywall in our basement. My insurance agent recommended Tri State Restorations and told me that they would provide a fair price since mold isn't covered under my homeowners policy. They worked with me on a reasonable payment plan and got us taken care of.

Great workmanship and got the job done in a timely manner to prevent mold growing from the water! Very fast response times for estimates!

It went very well, they removed the stained ceiling, tested for contamination, there was none; however, the technicians suggested that we use all precautions by installing a dehumidifier, a heavy duty fan and an air scrubber for about 48 hours. They returned to pick-up their equipment, cleaned the work area. I've used Tri State in the past, I like their customer service, and I will use them again, if necessary.

I spoke with Jamel and Taylor in the office and they were able to walk me through the process and help me understand all the work and fees. Oscar and his help arrived on time and talked to me about what was happening at my home. Everyone was great! I felt like what was a huge disaster turned into meeting a group of helpful caring people who made me feel better about all the bad that had happened.

Tri State was very professional, arrived quickly and helped me to clean up my basement after it flooded from my sump pump failing. Working with Alicia made the process very easy, she helped me to communicate with my insurance company and got everything done very quickly! Highly recommend!!

It was outstanding. We were at the beach when it happened. We were notified by a neighbor of mine. We called our insurance company. They recommended Tri State. We didn't know what the state of the house would be. My neighbor let them in. They immediately began. It was late on a Friday night. Tara, the owner was waiting for us. We didn't get there til 8 at night. She was waiting on the front steps waiting for us. Her approach was to get us ready because she said we wouldn't be prepared for what was in there. The way she handled it was very gentle and kind. We walked in to see our entire house was under water. She knocked it out of the part. Was constantly there. Everything had to come out. The house was stripped within about 2 days. Every day her trucks were there.

They are very professional, fair, they got back to you quickly, very careful and I'm very happy with the work they did.

Great! They were very helpful and supportive. When we discovered our home flooded , someone was there within a couple of hours. My house looks better than it did before the flood!

Perfect. All crew was on time, efficient and professional. Stayed on job all the way through. No complaints whatsoever.

Service workers were friendly, careful and prolonged treatment to see if they could fix the problem (somewhat successful). Honest and hardworking.

The problem was not in the service, rather afterwards in the overcharging, failure to work with the insurance company as they indicate in all their materials, failure to honor their promise to accept the insurance company's judgement. I am requesting Angie's List to investigate this provider as I have never worked with so untrustworthy a contractor. Although I was told while I was receiving service that they would accept the insurance company judgement plus $500, the ended up charging me double the insurance company settlement. They argued the insurance company wouldn't answer their calls, but I recently was provided the insurance company's email to them (which they never indicated existed) which detailed explicitly how to make a further claim. They continued to put me in the middle, threatening legal action against me, and ultimately sending the case to a collection agency without even the basic civiity of a email or other communication from them. Please do not use this company.

While Tri State Restorations accomplished their most important work?removing water-damaged floors and walls, and drying out the house?we had several negative experiences with them. Low temperatures in our region created a lot of demand for water mitigation services, so we were on five wait lists after our pipe burst and Tri State was the first one to be available. They were rarely punctual (scheduled to come at 11am that first day, they actually came at 11pm), but I think that is a characteristic of the field and a result of the high demand for their services at that time. Annoying to deal with, but I don?t think Tri State is to blame. We arrived home after they tore up our floors and realized pretty quickly that we wouldn?t be able to stay in our house. The smell of the wet glue was toxic and the large fans and dehumidifiers scared our kids. We moved out of the house, planning to come back when the floor was dry and the fans were gone. After three days with the fans, on a Monday, the lead technician asked if he could come that night to test the moisture level. We told him that we weren?t living at the house so he could come any time (they were using a lock box to enter/exit our house). His team came on Tuesday morning, found that the floor was still wet so left a couple of fans, and then left the house WITHOUT LOCKING THE DEADBOLT. Sometime late on Tuesday someone broke into our house and stole several items of financial and personal value. We discovered it at 8am on Wednesday morning. Three facts make us suspect that the break-in was related to Tri State. First, the team didn?t lock the deadbolt before they left. Second, the break-in happened the day that the team found out we weren?t living at the house. Third, the force on the door was focused on the doorknob as if the person knew that the deadbolt was not locked. No matter what, the team was absolutely responsible for locking up properly and they did not. At this point, we asked Tri State to be extra cautious to ensure the deadbolt is locked at all times. I left a voicemail for the technician and spoke directly with the office staff about it. I also told the office staff that we wanted to be at the house when the team was working. A couple of days later, on Friday, the team was scheduled to come out again to test the moisture level next to the pipe that burst (we had to remove kitchen cabinets to get access, so there was a delay). I worked from home so that I could be there when the team arrived. Late afternoon/early evening (around 5 maybe?) I called to find out when to expect the team and learned that the lead technician had called in sick so they wouldn?t be coming to the house that day. I would have preferred to get a call about that in the morning, but nothing could be done about it at that point. They rescheduled me for the following day and told me to expect someone by 10am on Saturday. By 10:30 on Saturday morning, I called again and was told that someone had messed up so that I wasn?t even on the schedule for that day so would need to be rescheduled again for the following day. I expressed my frustration but, again, little could be done about it at this point other than reschedule. I was told to expect someone by 10am on Sunday. I asked that they call me when they were on their way because I didn?t want to continue waiting at the house with the delays I was experiencing. I called again at 10:30 on Sunday morning and was told that the technician had already been to my house and left, leaving me a note on his way out. The job was done which was a relief. But the communication had been terrible and my requests were not respected. We wanted to move back into the house when all of the fans were gone, but we still had problems with exposed nails. When Tri State removed all of the baseboards they left the nails in the walls. I think that is normal (they would traditionally be removed during the reconstruction, I think?) but we asked if they?d remove them because we have two small children, and they said they would. They removed a small number of the nails (maybe 10%?) but not all of them. While we understand that this may not have normally been a part of their job, we were disappointed that they told us they would do it and then didn?t. We received the invoice about four weeks after the work was complete which seemed like a long time to wait but might be normal for the field. It was for twice as much as insurance had estimated it would cost. We?ll need to negotiate with insurance now to get it covered. I don?t have a sense of how much water mitigation services typically cost, so I don?t know if Tri State?s prices are high or insurance?s estimate is low. Also, because communication and scheduling were not always effective, they left fans and humidifiers running in our house for longer than they probably needed to be. Our insurance estimates have been accurate in other areas though, so I gave Tri State a poor rating for price on this review. About three weeks after the work was complete, an office staff person that I had interacted with called to get some feedback. I articulated much of this of this feedback to her over the phone.

I think this is a complete ripoff. I think he, unlike other remediators I called, charges just to give an estimate because that way more people will feel stuck with his price having already sunk $$ into it. He also badmouths other companies, saying no one else who charges less would do a complete job because he uses negative air pressure, complete wire scrubbing and sealant. I found that Bioserv did all of those things for less than 1/2 the price and without the up front ripoff.

Under their description in Angie's List, it says that estimates are free of charge. The secretary wasn't aware of this. She took our credit card number to hold our appointment and promised to call back to confirm before charging for the estimate. No one ever called us back, so we went with another service provider and canceled the appointment. I talked with the owner and he hung up on me twice and also screened my calls. Furthermore, he ridiculed me for provided them with my credit card information. UPDATE: I was just made aware of the company's response. All information provided in our report above is absolutely correct.

Overall it went very well. He was very late I think due to prior appointments. But once he got there he was very nice and extremely helpful. I would recommend. There was an online coupon located on their website.
