I like the company for two reasons: 1) there is always someone to answer your call, 2) prompt email confirmation of appointment, and 3) early morning appointment available (6:30am). For someone who managed rental properties, I value the certainty of service appointment. Since I'm not a full time landlord, it really helps me to have early morning service appointment so I don't have to take time off from my regular job. The job is pretty straightforward. It took the technician about 5 minutes to switch out the bad GFCI.

Everything went very well. The fee covered everything except the city permit. Accommodated my schedule and even called to let me know when the county inspector backed out at the last minute. Communication was excellent.

The service was fine, but the reason I needed these repairs is that the last time they came out, they left open wires hanging. I thought they would just cap them off as a courtesy, but they charged me full price, on something they messed up in the first place.

Walt arrived on time and went right to work. Ours is an old Art Deco condo and electrical issues can be tricky. He resolved our switch problems promptly and completely. A bonus was his professional insight and advice about other electrical concerns we had. We'll be recommending Meyer Electrical to our fellow condo residents.

Walt did a nice job adding a new electrical hookup for my water heater on short notice. He was the first electrician to return my call, he was extremely accessible by phone and email, his rates were competitive, and he completed the job very efficiently.

I explained the problem to the electrician. He used a current tester to rule out a major wiring problem. I told him that neighbors had had issues with the transformers, so I'd bought a new transformer on Amazon and tried it, but without any luck. He tried swapping the new transformer as well, and also had no luck. After trying that, he told me that the problem was probably with the fixture itself. He advised me to buy all-new fixtures and left. I spent $130 on new fixtures, but when I hooked one of them up, it didn't work either. This immediately raised my suspicions that the electrician had been too quick to make assumptions. I went out to Home Depot, bought two new bulbs and two new transformers, installed them myself into the old fixtures, and voila, they worked brilliantly. Part of this is my fault for having used a cheap, faulty transformer from Amazon, and fortunately it looks like I'll be able to get a refund on the new fixtures. But all this could have been avoided if the electrician had pulled out a volt meter to see whether there was current coming out of the transformer, or if he'd inspected the fixture for problems, or if he'd brought along some replacement parts to try. Instead, he did a cursory test or two, made some lazy assumptions, gave me bad advice, and walked out with my check. I'm very disappointed. The reason I paid for a professional electrician was so that I could be sure the problem was diagnosed correctly. Instead, I feel like I wasted my time and money. Addendum #1 (4/12/16): The company's response below misses the point. The technician checked the voltage coming out of the wall, but he never checked the voltage coming out of the transformer. If he had, he would have realized that the new transformer wasn't working properly. I even suggested to him that might be the problem, but he brushed off the idea, saying that parts from Amazon are usually pretty good. When I mention "replacement parts", I'm not talking about pendant fixtures. I would never expect an electrician to have all new light fixtures in his truck. However, I might expect him to have a few standard 12v transformers, which are a small and commonly used part worth about $15. Even if he didn't, I would certainly expect him to have a volt meter capable of testing the current coming out of one of those transformers, to make sure that it was working. If the technician had made the correct call, then the new light fixture I bought WOULD have worked (it didn't) and the old one WOULDN'T be working right now (it is).

Walt performed both the inspection and the follow-up fixes. He was very courteous and professional, and worked efficiently. He also explained to me all the issues and the things to look out for. I would definitely recommend this service and will use them again if needed.

They were very responsive in communication, were able to schedule me within 24 hours. Arrived and worked very quickly, were also great with my 3 rescue dogs. Were very polite and cleaned everything up. Changed a very reasonable price for doing several different things. Highly recommended, will definitely use for my future electrical needs.

The original contract was for recessed lighting, but upon starting to drill the team realized the ceiling was concrete after discussing options we decided to add track lighting instead and the price was adjusted accordingly.

Great! It was a well organized project with one mechanic working mostly outside and one inside. After the installation of the new circuit breaker panel, they identified each circuit on the panel board. They cleaned up after themselves and you would never know that they had been there. I would give Meyer Electrical Services, Inc. an A+.

We are super happy with Meyer Electric. They arrived on time and worked efficiently to remove the old panel which included cutting the drywall and metal studs around the old panel to access the service and fit the new panel in. The mechanic neatly did this and saved the cut-out drywall for us to re-use and fit into the cut out area. No question that Meyer's mechanics know exactly what they are doing. They cleaned up after themselves perfectly.

These guys were amazing. Walt came out within 24 hours and provided an estimate on the services I requested. He gave me a range in case there were any surprises with the 3 way switch. When the service was to be performed a younger guy named Ben came by to do the work and I was surprised at how quickly he was able to trouble shoot and make the repairs. I know several electricians and Ben seemed to be just as good if not better than anyone I've seen with 20+ years into the trade. Apparently when I removed some electrial outlets it caused the switch to back feed to the breaker (I believe this is what he said). In any case, when the final bill came everything was on the low end from the range on the estimate. They came from a recommendation from my sister who used them a year ago. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Walt and his crew are a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and exceptionally professional. They always showed up on time, or even a bit early, conducted themselves well, and got the job done in an efficient and timely fashion. Work was high quality, and their communications were always clear and straightforward. When I need electrical work done in the future, I will be hiring them!

Answered my panicked Monday morning phone call and were able to meet me at my residence later the same morning. The electrician on site listened attentively and quickly identified the problem within my panel box. He showed me the problem circuit breaker (wasn't properly labeled) and had my power restored quickly. He then quickly and neatly replaced the faulty GFCI outlet that was the start of my electrical problems. The electrician (Ben) kindly removed his shoes of his own volition to not track dirt across my rug. I was overwhelming satisfied with the service and price. Wouldn't hesitate to use Meyer Electrical again and will recommend them to others.

Electrician arrived on time. He installed the outside outlet. The work is neat and functional. He was personable and professional and the outlet works. I used it for outside holiday lighting and it is just what I wanted.

We used an Angie's List coupon deal to install an outdoor outlet for $189. Walt was very prompt to schedule the install. Unfortunately they don't do weekends, but his folks can come out as early as 6:30 AM so luckily I didn't have to take time off of work. The electrician that came (not Walt) was on time, very professional and courteous, and answered all our questions. We had a great experience and will keep your company in mind for future projects. We paid $189 for the outdoor outlet, which was cheaper than any deal I could find. Most were in the $200ish range, although one guy quoted me $120, but he wasn't a licensed electrician.
