+ -1 moreAs usual, Mr. Meyer was on time, and worked quickly and efficiently to do the work. He has always given us a fair estimated price for the work he has done and this time was no different.
Description of Work: We had Meyer Electric come to install some motion sensor lights on the front and side of our home after there was some criminal activity in our neighborhood. There were no previous junction boxes or wiring in the two locations. We purchased the lights ourselves at Home Depot and Mr. Meyer came to wire and install the lights and add an extra switch outside of our electrical panel to accommodate the lights.

Description of Work: Walt Meyer and his journeyman arrived on time to install new recessed lighting and switches for our living room and hallway. They worked for about 5 1/2 hours continuously, Walt had to make 2 additional supply runs because of my misinformation about some of the circuits, but he honored our agreed upon price despite that. Walt closely supervised every aspect of his journeyman's work. We discussed the placement of the lights after they arrived, and I found him very easy to work with and very respectful of my input. The timing was quite crucial, as this work had to be completed before other work that begins tomorrow. The work was well done to my specifications, and they cleaned up every speck of dust and debris that they created. My home and belongings were treated with the utmost care. I couldn't have had a better experience. With respect to price, it's difficult for me to judge, as this is the first time in many years that I have had an electrician perform work in my home. An unqualified success, and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Meyer Electric.

+ -1 moreMr. Meyer did everything right. He came and looked at the job; was very straightforward about the pitfalls and options. He emailed me the quote when he said, which turned out to be the day of the hurricane. The quote was very fair and better than others, came in a detailed fashion so that I could see exactly what each piece of the job would cost. We scheduled the dates of the work over the email, which was a very efficient exchange. He gave me a time frame and I told him which days were best; he scheduled to best fit my schedule and within a reasonable time after the initial call. He and his assistant showed up on time and went right to work. Within two hours, everything was done. The place is left neat and the gates to the yard were closed. He and his assistant were very respectful of the property. In short, he did everything he said he would do and did it efficiently and well. I would have no hesitation to call him back.
Description of Work: Two outdoor GFI receptacles installed, one in front and one in back of the house, which had none before. Outdoor light not working; whole-house surge protector.

Description of Work: I had three outlets installed that needed replacements. I am very happy he agreed to do the work while he was here. He came to install a power surge installed. I noticed it while strolling on Angie's list and decided to try it. I am going to get him to do other jobs in the near future. He was respectful and polite and I am very satisfied with his work. He also explained to me what I needed and what he was doing; I was concerned about a heater that had a spark come frome the outlet while plugging it in and he tested the outlet and told me about the reverse connection. I am pleased and feel safe now, it was taken care of all at once.

+ 0 moreReally good experience with Meyer Electrical Services. I had an attic fan installed in June of this year and asked Walt for an estimate for the above work. I just had the work done and couldn't be happier with the results. Well, I could've gotten a bigger break on price, but we'd all wish that. At any rate, Walt did a 1st class job. There was no annoying hounding for work after he gave me an estimate. Months later, he was just as responsive as the 1st time. Proud to say he'll be the 1st one I call if I need future electrical services.

The team arrived about 45 minutes after I had expected them, but they were very nice, professional, helpful and knowledgeable. They assessed the problem very quickly and replaced the circuit breaker that needed to be fixed. They also took a look at a light that I was having trouble with and advised me to purchase a new fan entirely rather than replacing the light kit (which was broken) and suggested a good brand at a low price. I would definiteion use Meyer Electricians again.
Description of Work: The first level of my house was experiencing continued brownouts. I brought in the electrician to assess the problem.

The fans look great and they left behind a clean house. I'm really happy with the service. The price was a little more than someone else quoted me, but that guy never showed up, so you get what you pay for -- the extra cost was completely worth it for an efficient and professional installation.
Description of Work: Meyer installed 2 ceiling fans in my home. Previously there were light fixtures in the places where the ceiling fans were installed.

They divided and conquered, with one finsihing up the supressor while the other started fixing the light switch. No time was wasted. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: We originally contacted Meyer thanks to a deal on Angie's List to install a whole house surge suppressor. When they came to do the work, I also asked them to replace a light switch recent home renovations had found to have been improperly installed.

He gave me an estimate and set up the appointment. The day before the appointment, he called to confirm. They arrived on-time, went right to work, and had the attic fan working within an hour. As we walked through my property, he gave me a rough estimate of the additional work I wanted and made some recommendations. I was received a written estimate and contract via email a few days later. I was very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of Mr Meyer and definitely intend on using his services again.
Description of Work: Had Meyer Electrical Services wire an attic fan and give an estimate for additional outlets in my garage, a GFCI circuit for my patio and a six circuit transfer switch.

In describing my problem over the phone, Walt was able to suggest that one of my GFI outlets had gone bad, which in turn was impacting several outlets on the same circuit. The estimate for the repair was between $150 and $250 depending on what Walt found when he arrived. The price was slightly higher than another company I called for an estimate, but not significantly so and Meyer Electrical was able to accommodate my schedule. Walt and his assistant, Ben, arrived on time and were able to fix my problem in a timely manner. They even offered to take their shoes off, which my wife and I always appreciate. The price turned out to be in the middle of the estimate I was provided. We wouldn't hesitate to Meyer Electrical again in the future.
Description of Work: I hired Meyer Electrical to replace a faulty GFI outlet in one of our bathrooms.
