The project went so well that We plan to hire Kustom Floors LLC to correct the flaws in the kitchen floor that was completed during our kitchen renovation about 6 years ago, We want to match the breakfast room floor and the kitchen floor.

Rudy and his team did a fantastic job! He recommended that we remove the bevel (space between planks) by getting extra sanding done and now each plank looks so wide and the floors are seamless. Other companies said this could not be done. He also removed railings that I didn't want anymore free of cost. Rudy is busy so sometimes it takes a few calls/texts but he always gets back to you. He estimated the floors would take about 5-7 days and they finished on day 6. The floors look AMAZING and made home look brand new!

Rudy and his team are extremely professional and take great pride in their work. Rudy evaluated the work to be done exactly and the installation process went impeccably well. He went above and beyond to make sure that everything fit perfectly and that we didn't notice the difference between the old and new hardwoods. During the sanding and refinishing process, Rudy and his team were very careful with moving all our furniture in and out of the house, ensuring that we were totally satisfied throughout the process. This kind of work always takes time, so we needed to be out of the house for a week. However, when we came back and saw our floors, it was all worth it. They look fantastic, and we couldn't be more pleased that Kustom Floors did the work for us. We highly recommend them!

I've worked with a lot of contractors buying and selling several homes recently. Rudy and team are a dream come true. Work that surpasses expectations. Rudy and team are not just tradesmen, they are artisans. Carefully hand-crafted work with attention to detail. Rudy wants everything to be just right. I interviewed three firms, all highly rated. One never even submitted a bid, a second, large one, bid, but had no real thoughts on species, colors, details, and did not spend the time necessary to point out the details that could be fixed and improved. They sent a salesman, not a craftsman. Sure, they were a little less expensive to start, but I had no confidence they would do the job well. Rudy came himself and pointed out all sorts of ways to make the project better. He talked about species, options, colors,etc. He stained the floor different colors for us to compare and he knew better than we did which one was right. Every time we have gone with his opinion it has been right. On several issues, I asked him what he would do at his own home--and then he showed me his own home! Then I knew i had the right guy. I will use him again and again. Now I need to find plumbers, HVAC, and painters with the same attention to detail and dedication to the job.

All went well. Rudy was prompt to the initial consultation. He gave much details and options. He and his workers started within 1 week of the consultation. He and his crew were finished within the estimated time. The final work was beautiful. No contractor can ever be completely perfect. He came back afterwords and addressed all the small details of the work promptly. Rudy takes pride in the work and worked hard to make sure we were happy with the outcome.

Very well. They responded very quickly to our initial enquiry and came to do an estimate within 2 days. Very professional all around, and they offered a wide range of finish options without pushing any one of them. Floors look great. We would use them again.

From the owners perspective, everything went smoothly and the results are beautiful. Everything was completely explained during initial visit. Workers came at scheduled times, sealed off areas to minimize any dust, explained when and what would happen next when they left each day. They dealt with adhesive discovered under the carpet pad. They also did a beautiful job of matching stains so that old white oak in the bedroom matches newer red oak in the hallway, and fitting the new trim.

Everything was done well, and all workers treated the house well, kept all appointments and left everything in move-in condition. Rudy came first to estimate the work. He had great suggestions as we discussed the style of the oak in our 88 year-old house, and settled on stain, appropriate shoe moulding and top coat finish. After the walls and trim had been finished the crew did all installation and finishing over parts of three days.

When the first attempt to remove stains did not fully restore the floor, the company owner himself returned and the floor is now like new. This is a company that believes in -- and delivers -- excellent service.

You get what you pay for, and Kustom Floors and their crews were amazing and worth every penny. From the time they initially came out and spotted things the other companies did not, to the amazing-ness of the results, I never regretted choosing Kustom to do the work and would have them back and recommend them in a heart beat. They were prompt, responsive, honest, trust worthy, very detail orientated. They did extra sanding, they tested 4 stains of on old wood sample over night to get the best match, they were self sufficient but included me to set expectations if required, they were obsessed on making it look awesome and I think went over and above, taking care of details I would not have known enough to ask about but make me so happy to see done w/ the care they were. Their crews (different for wall and floor work) worked well together and communicated well with me. They came back to address some stain drips we spotted after I had submitted payment and insisted on addressing and making it perfect. I am extremely happy with the work they did. I had 3 contractors come out and Rudy took out some magnets and showed me why I had some bowing of floor boards after a sprinkler pipe had burst, it was because they installation company had inconsistently applied nails to the floor. No one else noticed this. Two other companies didn't blink when I said I thought we had pre-treated wood. Rudy showed me stain marks and sanding marks from the original work that proved such was not the case. Again, the only out of the three to notice such. Kustom Floors removed and replaced a large section of defective hardwood flooring in our dining room and installed new half round in two rooms. The floors in both rooms were sanded, restained and new transitions were installed at entries. Kustom also repaired newell posts for both the second and first floor stairs and relocated a banister. All of this work was done excellently with attention to detail. The the renewed floors are stunning. The work that Kustom Floors performed was excellent. They were timely, courteous and very customer focused. They sanded down the effected areas, stained and sealed the floors and put down two coats of polycoating. Their work was meticulous. We would use Kustom Flooring again happily and would highly recommend them to anyone interested in having floor work done.

Terrific. Used Rudy before but he changed name of company to avoid confusion so it took a while to rediscover him. I was home much of the time and I could tell just how diligently team was working. Removed many stains from hardwood floor that had developed mostly from housebreaking close to a dozen dogs over 30 years. (Urine plus enzyme to break it down plus carpet hot water extractor carpet cleaning leaves dark stains on wood even if smell long gone.) Looks gorgeous now.

We had a great experience with Kustom floors. 2 months after moving into our new home, we had to replace the main sewer line and for this, we had to take out the newly installed hardwood floor. Thanks to Rudy, we came to know that there was asbestos tile under the floor and we were able to do the abatement before plumbing work started. Kustom floor did the re -installation of the floor and the entire process went smoothly. Rudy is very professional, responsive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this company!

Rudy and his team re-finished the oak hardwood floors on our 1940s brick colonial, repairing and restoring them to a quality that was better than new. They were polite and helpful throughout, showing professionalism and an attention to detail that is rare to find these days. For example, there were a few holes in my floor (probably from old telephone wires in the 40s!) which they noticed, brought to my attention and repaired by putting in new boards (no extra cost). When I dithered a bit about the stain color, they showed patience and kindness in bringing me new samples and trying several out on the floor. When they moved the furniture, they followed my wishes completely. They did not disassemble my dining room table (which would have been much easier for them), and they were very gentle with my piano. They also put felt pads on everything before replacing the furniture on the newly-finished floors. There was one small glitch. Right after his team started, Rudy left town for a brief visit to his mother (apparently for mother's day). In his absence, the carpenter did not come at the promised time. The resulting delay was short and, when he got back, Rudy was so determined to make amends that he both reduced the price by 5% and had his painter do the pickets in our banister (a time-consuming, detailed job), at no extra cost. All was forgiven. These are likable, honest folks who know their craft. I am entirely satisfied with the quality of the work. The floors look fantastic. I would use this company again and strongly recommend them to anyone who wants top quality work at a reasonable price.

Rudy and his team are master craftsmen. We live in a historic home and his work is always flawless. They engaged my wife and I in deciding on the right finishes and materials. We were trying to find ways to save budget, and he was very honest about which "corner cutting" would hurt the quality of the result. I have recommended them to anyone looking for excellence.

I was so stressed about this and Rudy took away the stress, got in quickly and it was done before I knew it. He is the consummate professional and really knows his trade. Details are above! In addition, there was a little bit of dust the first day but it was contained to the room and that was it. I was amazed and relieved. I would highly recommend Rudy and his company to anyone who needs to repair, restore or refinish floors!

Prior work on our floors was substandard, leaving behind gaps between the floorboards, the finishing was scarred, and there were stains embedded in the wood. Rudy did an assessment, gave us an estimate, we worked out the schedule, and his team came in and did everything on schedule and to perfection.

From start to finish what a great experience. Rudy was on time for our initial appointment. He explained completely his process for sanding, staining and finishing our floors. He described how they would use plastic and tape off our cabinets and entrances to rooms. There was very very little dust in the house afterwards. His crew led by his brother, Jimmy, were clean, courteous, friendly and respectful to myself and my husband. We decided to go much darker than the original color. Jimmy and Rudy put down different color stains from which to choose. When applying the stain Jimmy even used a tiny paint brush on the stairs so as not to get splashes on our newly painted wainscoting. Every question we had was answered promptly, texts were responded to almost immediatly and all answered with a friendly attitude. We can not recommend them highly enough. PS They were slightly ( a couple of hundred dollars) more expensive than the other two companies we had bid on the job. No stress, no headaches, and amazing customer service was well worth the little bit more we paid.
