"STAY AWAY!!!! This Company cancelled the initial estimate on me 3 times making me drive 90 minutes to the property each time. They finally showed and gave me the typical hard sell "if you sign the contract today..." They gave us a quote so far over market value we should have walked away. But we agreed because of the "70 year history in the industry" We thought we were buying a service from a company with integrity. They took an immediate $18K deposit on a $55K project. I know, shame on me for agreeing to such an amount. We knew we were over spending, but... One month later, they simply cancelled the contract without explanation and without any work on the project. This contract was binding on us but, in their words, was not binding on them because "there's a clause in the fine print that allows them to cancel" THEY STILL HAVE OUR MONEY and I STILL NEED A ROOF Stay away from this company. No integrity No responsibility Unreliable Over priced Will take your money and keep it"

The Project Coordinator at Excel listened to what I wanted and made some suggestion, but did not try a hard sell for goods or services. He explained in detail what the work crew would do and how the fence would be installed. Out of all the companies I contacted Excel was the only one to provide a written estimate. The price was reasonable and comparable to what other companies were quoting. The workers who responded to install the fence and gates were great. It was obvious they worked together in the past and were comfortable with each other. The supervisor went over everything with me before they started the job. He explained in detail what they would be doing. After the job was done the supervisor walked around the entire project with me, while explaining again what they did and answered questions. They definitely made sure I was happy with everything before they left. Another thing worth mentioning is their office and administrative staff. I made a point to stop by their office one day before the project. I believe the way an office appears and is run tells a lot about a business. Excel has a nice, clean office with very friendly and professional staff. A live person answers their phone, instead of getting an automated message, prompting you to press a number.
