Description of Work: When I purchased I expected the applications would be done during the height of mosquito season. I set up the initial appointment, asking that the technician come talk to me about the problem areas and to find out what chemicals were used. I waited at home all day, but no contact. I called the company, explained that appointment was missed. A few days later I found a receipt put through my mail slot, indicating that a 1-time application was done on the initial appointment date, owner was not available, without information on the chemicals used or where they were applied. I called again, asked that technician call me with the information. I was advised that another application would be on August 25, the last one would be 30-days later. I've never talked to a technician. I talked to the owner, but he could only tell me how it should have been done, but there were personnel issues and weather issues. He indicated that the missed appointment would be scheduled for the end of October/November 2014. I told him then and in follow-up email that I had no need for the service here in Maryland so late in the season and that I wanted my money back or have the contract honored for 2015. I got no reply formal reply.

+ -1 moreI was disappointed that I was told that I had to pay more money for tic control. One person came out to spray for misquotes and it took him about twenty minutes. I would tell family and friends that they were here on time but if they are looking to kill anything more than misquotes that they have to pay a additional cost. They charge twenty five dollars extra per visit to kill anything else. He also uses a hand pump sprayer, not a fogger.
Description of Work: I used the services of MidAtlantic Pest Services. He came to spray mosquitoes.

All they brought with them was a concentrated gel formula that they placed at certain areas inside & outside because I wanted something eco-friendly. It's going to be over a longer period of time that I'm going to have to watch to make sure it worked completely as it is an annual package.

Since April I have contacted them 3 times with problems I am having since there first visit and they have not returned my call. Never again will this company receive money or recommendations from me. They are happy to take $300 plus dollars, but not happy to fulfill there contracted service.

The company immediately responded to my messages the same day (Even on Sunday night!) and came out for the service the very next day. The pest problem was worse than I thought and they came out for a second treatment with no problems. I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

+ -1 moreThe service was perfect. They came out yesterday and I picked the date. They said they were fine with that. It was a three spraying for mosquitoes set one each month. The guy came out and was here about a half hour and everything went fine. I paid for three treatments. They were very prompt getting back to me when I first purchased it. The girl at the office was very nice. She said it would be the owner who would come out and he explained things when he got here. I thought they were very professional and very good. It seemed like a pretty good deal. He explained what to expect and what I would get. He was right on time.

+ -1 moreDavid was punctual ,and professional in his introduction ,as to what he was going to do. Our main concern was ants , which he applied two types of insecticides to control the ants. David also inspected the exterior for any potential termite damage, which there was none. He also removed spider webs, wasp nest, and identified 4 ant colonies , that he applied insecticide too. I agreed to an inspection three times a year for pest treatment, and termite inspection. Good deal ! Very pleased !
Description of Work: Check complete exterior, and interior for Termites issues ( none found ) . Applied insecticide materials both inside, and out. to eliminate ants, and spiders.

DALE the FOLLOW-UP MAN was Also COURTEOUS and THOROUGH on his FOLLOW-UPS with VERY GOOD Communication!! I was in the Middle of my Summer Vacation, when this Problem OCCURRED, and Mid-Atlantic Pest Control worked with ME in their Scheduling!! They also Left ALL the TRAPS and POISON PACKETS On-Site, IN CASE I get any further VISITORS!! The thing that Surprised Me was that I DON'T HAVE Any FOOD in My BASEMENT for any PESTS or CRITTERS to EAT!! But, DALE explained to Me, that DOES NOT Matter, because RATS are Always LOOKING for a PLACE to NEST, and then Travel to EAT!!
Description of Work: Mid-Atlantic Pest Control was able to fit me into their already FULL Schedule the same day that I had contacted them!! I had EMPHASIZED that I had a B-I-G RAT inside my basement, I NEEDED the problem DELT with sometime, that day, because I DID NOT want it getting UPSTAIRS into the MAIN Part of the House!! They quoted a Price of $250, but I was able to get a $30 Angie's List Discount!! They responded that afternoon, SET Numerous TRAPS, and scheduled a FOLLOW-UP Visit to CLEAN-UP RESULTS!! They CAPTURED the BIG RAT in one of the SPRUNG Traps, and Checked ALL the remaining traps and BAIT POISON!! Then they Replaced the Sprung Trap with a NEW Baited Trap, and Scheduled a FOLLOW-UP Visit for the following week!! The returned a week Later, and it appears the PROBLEM is RESOLVED!!

+ -1 moreWe spray around the house on a yearly basis to keep the ants at bay. We've done this with Accutech for several years with good results. We switched to MidAtlantic as they were local and had good reviews. The exterminator showed up on time and explained it would take a week or two to really take effect. A little after four weeks we still have a lot of ants. When we requested another spraying we were informed the guarantee is for 30 days and advised to take out a four-times-a-year contract. I think we'll go back to Accutech.

After we found termite swarmers in our front yard and mud tubes in our basement (yikes), we had several local companies come out to do an inspection and give us an estimate. Mid-Atlantic came in well below the others on price, but they also seemed more knowledgeable and thorough. The scheduling was pretty easy, and the treatment was completed a week after the initial inspection. The one small thing I would ding them on is the fact that the technician who came out to do the treatment tracked some mud through my house - luckily on hard floors, not carpet. I would definitely recommend them - in fact, I already have.
Description of Work: Mid-Atlantic Pest did a chemical treatment for termites - dug a trench along the front and back walls of our townhouse, drilled through our concrete stoop, and injected termiticide.

+ -1 moreaccording to my daughter: mid atlantic pest service gets an A+++ rating from me! i bought a 2 year empty foreclosure and the pests had taken over. the first time they came out, their estimate was fair and their service plan was appropriate and affordable. i instantly decided to go w them over a previous company that had done an estimate. we purchased a quarterly plan and it pays for itself. we have had them come out more than once during the quarters. they are never bothered to come multiple times and multiple times are not always needed, but sometimes its just nice to have them out because it is included in the plan!! the original reason we had them come, mice in the attic, is resolved (although they still treat for it). we now treat for other pests such as spider crickets, silver fish, and most recently rats (found poop in an outside trap). it gives me peace of mind to have the service plan and i enjoy having as few pests in my home as possible! we have had adam and dale out to our home and they are both professional, friendly and trustworthy! definitely recommend this company

+ -1 moreI have a quarterly contract with them. I pay them every quarter. I have them do the termite treatment as a precautionary measure. They will come out if there any ants in the house, which is included in their cost. They are very good. They come out when they say they would and they do their best when it is urgent. Their prices are better than the prices in Georgia, where I was previously staying. They are very careful and they make sure not to cause any disturbance when they do the treatments. They are very professional. They certainly seem very knowledgeable. The technicians, who come around, seem to know what they are doing. I think they provide good quality service. They are responsive. I never have problem getting through to them. I always get to speak to somebody. They are very good about scheduling an appointment when I need one.
Description of Work: I use MidAtlantic Pest Services. They come out every quarter for treatment and inspection. They also come annually for termite control. They spray inside and outside. They put down some insecticide in the basement and check externally. They apply the treatments where necessary and knock down wasp’s nests.

+ 3 moreI called a few local pest companies and I chose Midatlantic Pest because they showed a ginuine concern for my home and kids as part of their treatment. The other guys seem to be "salesmen" trying to get a commission. I was concerned about professional pest control because I have little children. Midatlantic Pest addressed the issue before I brought it up to them and explained to me what they would do and how it was safe for my family. I'm glad I chose them and would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Midatlantic Pest performed a treatment for mice and ants and guaranteed the results for a full year. The mice were eliminated in less than 2 weeks and the ants were gone in 3 days. I have not had a problem since the service was completed. Midatlantic is making periodic trips back to my house to followup on the service and results.
