Description of Work: MHIC completely gutted and remodeled my kitchen and added a second bathroom to my master bedroom where there was previously no existing bathroom or plumbing, etc. The work they completed was extensive and I was happy with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the workers. My situation was a bit complicated because I used a 203K loan to pay for it and this required the use of a HUD consultant and specific process and timeline requirements that were very confusing. Therefore, I did have some initial complications in the wait time for the work to begin and required paperwork. However, I attribute the complications we experienced to the 203k/HUD process and not to the overall quality and performance of MHIC. I also believe that quality contractors are likely to have a wait time for services to start because there is usually a wait for good service and good contractors stay busy. JJ explained that he personally manages each of his projects and is on site to oversee the work being completed, and he certainly followed through on that in my project. He was on site multiple times a day to inspect the work and progress of the project. I have had experiences with other contractors in the past who sub out the work and barely check in the entire time until it's completed with little supervision. This was certainly not the case with MHIC. JJ did not hesitate to ask his workers to re-do something or touch something up, which I appreciated. I also noticed the workers were very clean, made every attempt possible to minimize disruption to my house and personal items, and they were very professional and friendly. JJ was very flexible with me in terms of new ideas or design changes throughout the process. Having had a number of really negative experiences with contractors and quality work, I would definitely use MHIC again over finding someone new and taking all those risks. Communication, timelines, and design issues can all be sorted out and are a normal part of renovation challenges. However, quality is either there or it's not, and to me that's the most important thing. In this case the quality of the work was extremely high and the workers and oversight were consistent and reliable. I also received multiple estimates from contractors and MHIC's prices were the most reasonable. I plan to call MHIC back when I am ready to have my other bathroom remodeled.

Description of Work: I called MHIC to provide an estimate on finishing a room in my basement. I setup an appointment and MHIC was a no show. I did not get a call or email stating that they would not be able to make it.

Description of Work: Overall, it was solid work on replacing the roof of my shed and repairing water damage to the inside of my house plus sealing the outside front of my house. I felt like he had trouble figuring out what he was going to charge especially with sealing the front of my house which that portion came to $500, which I thought was a little high - I would definitely recomend MHI but I would still research for other options especially when it comes to the charges

Description of Work: Was sent your "Angie's Big Deal" promo. Called company, gave person name & number for someone to call me back to arrange to come out for a basement and two bathrooms refinish. . Week went buy, no one ever called.
