They did an estimate. About 3 weeks later the windows arrived, we set a date for installation and it was done on that date. It took about 2 hours for 4 windows. The installers were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves.

I called to set up a time for them to give me an estimate and they responded right away. They went overall all the details with me during the estimate and I signed a contract with them. They were quick to schedule the appointment and arrived right on time to do the work. It took a little under 2 hours to complete everything and it looks great. They did a nice job and were a pleasure to work with.

I looked on Angies List for someone to replace my basement windows that had the best reviews for service. I narrowed my selection down to two companies. The first company quote I thought was ok. That was until I received my quote from Glass Block of Baltimore. When I contacted Glass Block of Baltimore, Rob was very attentive and knowledgeable. The first company quoted me a price of $995, Glass beat there price by $105. I agreed with the quote and was required to put a 1/3 deposit on the installation. We had to cancel our first installation date due to bad weather. The second install date was set October 1, 2012. Glass Block of Baltimore arrived on time and ready to complete the job. The installation was done in less than two hours. I was very satisfied with the work and overall appearance that the new windows added to my home. While on location, Rob explain the process and I found him to be very approachable, just a regular guy that took pride in his trade, family and life in general. I would definitely recommend Glass Block of Baltimore to anyone who is looking to have their basement windows replaced.

Great experience! I called for an appointment in late May and a representative accommodated my schedule, accepting an appointment that even took him a little past the office's closing time. "Rick" ? (I think that was his name) was very personable and jovial and made the estimate process a lot of fun. My windows were ready, as promised, within a few weeks but I had to ask them to postpone the installation due to a massive power outage 4th of July week. The guys came today right on time and finished the installation of the 6 windows in around 5 hours. They were fast, efficient, clean and respectful of my home even though they were working in grungy basement and sweltering attic areas. I am very pleased with how the windows look.

We had a little difficulty making our initial contact (I think the message got lost), but with a follow up call to Rob, an estimator arrived at our home within a day or two. The materials for our job had to be special ordered, so that took a little longer. From the date we signed the contract until the window was installed was less than four weeks. The installers (Bob and Rick) were very efficient and the job went smoothly. Overall, this company was very responsive and competent. The window is a very nice visual addition to our home, not to mention a good security feature and energy efficiency upgrade.

The service went very well and took less time than they anticipated. They removed all debris and were very professional and thorough.

When one of my bsement windows blew-in on Saturday night during the hurricane, I joined Angie's List to find a company who would replace my window, and two others, with glass blocks. I called Glass Blocks first thing Monday morning, and Rick came out within a couple hours to give me an estimate for replacing three windows with glass blocks, one of which had a dryer vent. He said he could install them on the following friday. True to his word, his technicians arrived at around 10:30 a.m. and by noon I had three lovely glass block windows. They removed all the crumbling cement around the 75-year-old windows, hauled away the old windows, and swept up the mess.During his estimate visit, I mentioned to Rick that I was having trouble finding anyone who would install two pipe railings by my outside flagstone steps (didn't want wrought iron railings). When he got back to his shop, he called me with the name of someone who coould do that job (Rob), who called me the same day, came out, and agreed to install the handrails. I didn't really like "Rob," but he'll do the job next week for an outrageous price - unless I can find someone cheaper. Nevertheless, thanks to Rick, I have nice new windows and potential handrails!

They make the window inserts at their studio, so the installation at my house was only about an hour. They took out the old windows and sash and replaced them with the glass block windows. They did a nice job on the mortar around the windows and took away all the old windows and sashes. Very responsive company. Friendly and helpful installers. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again. They gave me a lifetime gurantee with the windows, so what more could you ask for?

It went wonderfully. The installers arrived on time, they performed their duties ver professionally. The only thing i did not like about the experience was calling the comapny. I guess because they are so back up, most times you get a recording and have to leave a message. I will say that the attendant who called me back was very helpful- and friendly. I think her name was Debbie.

Very responsive - they stand out in personal engagement and attention. The owner (one of the brothers) does the estimates. Installation is done by long-time employees. Very professional, quick turn-around. Something I had been thinking about doing for years and I am glad I finally got around to it.

Got an estimate, and the glass blocks were ready the following week, so from start to finish, the whole process took only one week. They look beautiful and provide excellent security for the basement. They have a very nice screen and a small window portion that opens up fully to accomodate an electrical cord or hose, etc. or to let in air from the outside. Very good price as well. Excellent installation. They did not damage any vegetation outside or damage anything inside, even though the metal frames on the old windows were hard to get out being so old and rusty. I would highly recommend this company. Very positive experience from start to finish.

After initial $200 deposit, there was a 6 week waiting period, which was fine with me. On the date the work was to be performed, 2 installers arrived on time, performed a professional installation, cleaned up, and left within 2 hours. I am pleased with the results. The caulking was a little sloppy, but overall I am pleased with the results. One disappointment is the small vented window glass seems to break easily. Replacement cost is $125. In less than 3 months, one vent needs replacement.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE AN EXCELLENT COMPANY. THEY PREMEASURED AHEAD OF TIME AND IT ONLY TOOK THEM TWO HOURS TO PUT IN FIVE WINDOWS. I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE NEAT AND CLEAN.
