An unexpected cancellation from another customer opened up a spot for me a few weeks in advance and they replaced the window without incident and within an hour. excellent!!!

Mistakenly overcharged $461 in October 2018. Now it is late January 2019 and all I get is promises to be paid -- but no check.

had an old drafty window in my first floor powder room. I wanted a glass block window with a vent. However the size of my window prevented that, the dimensions of my window were small. Contacted company and they responded promptly, came to take measurements. window was ready in 3 weeks. Arrived on time , finished install in under 45 minutes, cleaned up area. Happy customer

Turning a bedroom into a closet and bathroom required transforming an ordinary window that ended up in the shower to a glass block window that would let in light, but provide greater security and privacy. The job was made more difficult by the age and style of building of the original construction. Because of my measurement error, they had to re-make the window and make several trips of some distance. They did both at no extra charge. The product is superb, the service was exceptional, and the price very reasonable. If the need ever arises, I will use them again, and I highly recommend them.

Called Glass Block of Baltimore on 4/7/2017. They came and gave me a estimate on 4/10/2017. Told me they would call me when they could schedule work. Called back on 4/11/2017 and said the would be here on 4/12/2017. Work would take about 5 hrs. Showed up at 09:30am on 4/12. Work completed at 02:00pm. Rick and Rob met all expectations. The work was superior. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone. They were complete professionals and very courteous.

The person who came to measure and the people who came to install were all friendly and professional. Install went pretty quick and looks great.

Once, we settled on a date, they came exactly on time and replaced the 5 basement windows with glass blocks containing air vents in less than 2 hours. They cleaned up any mess. Prior to arrival, I made sure there was sufficient space in front of each window, as instructed, for them to work.

The company did an excellent job. They accommodated us because we had a break-in. They did exactly what other A reviewers attested to. Rich was incredibly kind. We cannot thank them enough for their honesty and expert work. I would not use any other company for quality glass block, professional installation, and timely service.

The estimator came promptly to give me the cost estimate and let me know a time frame for installation. When I did not hear back in the estimated time frame I called and was told that I would get a call for the actual install date by the next Monday. I called back the next Tuesday and was given a date and time. The two installers came at the given time, took out the old windows and removed foam insulation around the smaller window so the new one could go in smoothly. The installation itself was neatly done and looks good. One of the old windows had to be broken so the old metal frame could be removed, something I anticipated might have to happen. The only glitch was in the clean up of the shards of broken glass. I had to clean up numerous shards of glass on the basement floor, a hazard to our pets. I also had to clean up numerous glass shards outside in the grass, a potential danger to the preschool children who happened to come over the same day as the installation. I was very glad I looked over both the basement and the yard and removed the broken glass, but I felt the installers should have been more thorough in their clean up.

My review is on the lack of communication. I contacted this company to have one block removed and replaced with a dryer vent screen. I was told someone would contact me and after several attempts and two conversations I've yet to have the work done. They're pricing was reasonable but to their willingness to provide service was poor.

Well, they arrived at the time they specified and prepared to begin when a problem was discovered. I have three windows had well covers over them and they were screwed down and after fifteen minutes of looking they could not find the right nut for the screws. It was an honest mistake in that during the estimate it wasn't noticed and I did not notice. In talking with Rick (Brother of the owner) he said they could rip the covers off but I would have to buy 3 new ones for about $20 a piece or they could come back at a later date with the correct nut as these were well down installed well covers. They arrived again at the time specified with the correct tools. The process was done in three and a half hours which was 30 minutes under the original estimate. They cleaned up after themselves and also gave me instruction on the care and cleaning of the glass block windows. I would use them again for other windows in my home.

The company arrived on time on both days (day of the in home estimate and the day of installation). The men were very professional and did an outstanding job. We were told the job would take about one and a half hours to complete. It took only one hour and fifteen minutes to complete. The men did a great job of cleaning up the little bit of debris on the basement floor. The windows look great. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wishing to have glass block windows installed in their house.

Rick came out to provide me with an estimate and provide me with options...when it came time for the installation...At the last minute, one of the helpers called out sick, but they sent out their head installer to perform the work by himself. The one man show took just a little longer, but Bob was SUPERB! I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Bob worked efficiently, methodically and neatly...a real pleasure! I am quite satified with all of my dealings with this company.

I had several companies give me an estimate for replacing my five basement windows with glass blocks. All of the estimates were pretty close - within a hundred dollars of each other. I went with Glass Block of Baltimore because of their Angie's List reviews and their website. The man who came to do the estimate was quite friendly and professional and straightforward. After some initial weather delays, a two-man crew came and did the work in about 3-4 hours. I had three done with plain glass blocks, and two with an included vinyl vent. Afterwards, they cleaned up the mess and gave me some tips about cleaning and maintenance and how to improve the frames around the glass blocks where bare wood had been left after removing the old windows. Altogether a very good experience, and the price was reasonable. Had some delays in getting call-backs, due to the weather, but all appointments were kept punctually.

Rob was very responsive to work on the estimate and to describe the work that was to be done. After signing the contract, the team of (2) guys showed up the following week exactly on time and began work immediately. They were very professional and easy to work with. They were happy to explain to me what they were doing and why. They also finished on time and when I noticed something asymmetrical in the installation of one of the windows, they admitted they had made a mistake and fixed it immediately. In the past, I've had contractors try to talk me out of fixing it or blaming me for the mistake. I was very pleased that they took responsibility for the work. I would definitely use them again and have already recommendedthem to friends.

I obtained three quotes from various vendors. This company came in the lowest, but others were competitive. I went with Glass Block of Baltimore based on the reviews and I'm glad I did. The job was performed on time, on budget and very well. It was about two weeks from the time I signed the contract to installation. The installation was quick and professionally performed. These guys specialize in this material and know their business. I think replacing old basement windows with glass block makes sense for safety and security, energy efficiency, and astetically. I'm very happy with the product and the performance of the company. Would highly recommend them to anyone, including my neighbors.

Glass Block of Baltimore had a good variety of styles of glass block to choose from. They were really excellent. They finished in about a day. They were very clean. There were a variety of jagged edges and they completely removed it. The caulking around the block is really, really neat.
