He did a magnificent job. He is on time every day, cleans up every day. His projects take as long as he says and cost as much as he says. I would recommend him to others.

I did above. Most importantly I would hire again for this or much more complex tasks.
Description of Work: We needed new front double doors to be installed in a space which was not squared by the original builder. It was a job which many others had walked away from because of the difficulty in fitting the doors in this opening. Mark came out and gave us an estimate which was lower than the Pella doors of the world. His price included the cost of new doors, installation of hardware, painting and most importantly fitting the doors into the existing surround. Mark and his crew were punctual, polite, clean and did an outstanding job. I was so happy to find a true carpenter who knows his craft and can perform difficult fittings with wood to look effortless. You can not go wrong with this company. I would hire them again in a minute.

I had an excellent experience working with Andersen Woodworking and Remodeling. When Mark Andersen gave us the estimate, he was very considerate of our needs and of our budget. He was honest, patient, professional, and dependable. When the work began, I was impressed with their wonderful work habits. They cleaned up as they worked and materials were neatly packed up when they left each day. Mark communicated well and addressed any concerns I had. He even offered to install something that was not part of the contract !! I highly recommend Andersen Woodworking and will be calling them again for my future projects.
Description of Work: Andersen Woodworking and Remodeling replaced all our kitchen cabinets, tile backsplash, a new hardwood floor, recessed lights, under cabinet lighting and handled the installation of new counter, sink and garbage disposal. They also helped to redesign an area that I wanted a new counter with additional cabinets and suggested to put an over the range microwave. Any electrical needs were taken care of including new outlets, switches and lighting.

Mark and his team did an awesome job! I especially appreciated that Mark is responsive and he and his crew were prompt and courteous. Each day that they worked on my house, I never came home to any debris left behind. The installation results were perfect. I am completely satisfied with the installation of both the interior glass door and the storm door. If you haven't already checked out the website www.awoodworking.com, I highly recommend it. A picture is worth a thousands words. Thank you - Much Appreciated!
Description of Work: Remove existing rear entry door and replace with new. Replace interior casing and exterior extension jambs. Installed new storm door.

Contacted Andersen Woodworking in April 2012 and Mark Andersen quickly returned my e-mail setting a date for an estimate to be generated. Following that, he was prompt in submitting his cost proposal for the requested work. We settled on an amount and scheduled the work to commence in July 2012. In June, Andersen Woodworking requested that the dates be accelerated and we were able to arrive at a schedule that was executable for both of us and the work commenced on 18 June. Total time required ended up being 3 full workdays. Upon arrival, Mark set his two man crew into motion and before long, the three of them were placing framing as designed. By the end of day one, the framing was in place and the drywall was hung with an initial coat of mud applied. Day two consisted of finishing what would become the interior of the closet, measuring door trim, and more taping/mudding of the seams. On day three, the seams were sanded smooth, trim was installed, baseboards were nailed in place and two coats of paint were applied. All through the process, Mark ensured his crew performed quality work...at times even removing installed drywall and trim to re-do the installation until it met his obvious high standards. He went above and beyond in protecting the hard wood floors and furnishings...particularly when the sanding began on the drywall seams! Raising protective plastic enclosures, he kept the dust to an absolute minimum. His crew even installed a supplied wall mount for a flat screen TV! I can't say enough about the professional demeanor, skill level and craftsmanship inherent in Andersen Woodworking. Here are the key takeways: - Arrived on time and ready to work EVERY day - Executed agreed to design with NO deviations - Graciously answered questions about how the framing would be integrated into the existing structure - "Clean as you Go" was the order of the day....job site always orderly at the end of the day - Stayed within agreed to budget - Completed job "on time" without taking any shortcuts - Quality reflected in every aspect from trim work to smooth corners... The completed project was so smooth and flawless that it looked like the builder had designed it it from the start...it blends seamlessly with the rest of the living space...which I believe is the highest complement anyone can provide for an interior alteration/addition. It was a painless and straightforward project...executable because of the honesty, integrity and work ethic of Andersen Woodworking. I'm so confident that I have already inquired with this company abut the next major interior alteration I want to do in the near future!
Description of Work: Contracted with Andersen Woodworking to frame, drywall, install doors, relocate lighting, relocate cable outlet, relocate power receptacle, install baseboards, install door trim and associated hardware and paint to match existing walls and baseboards to enclose a room on the ground floor of a townhouse resulting in an "en suite" with a new closet and privacy for guests.

MARK IS THE MAN! YOU MUST HIRE HIM IF YOU ARE GOING TO REMODEL. PERIOD. Got an estimate from Mark in August 2011, and we placed deposits in December 2011. Work would begin February 2012. The project was originally planned for 3 weeks, beginning in February, and all project points were on target to finish by the end of February. However, my wife and I changed some design elements that required us to order cabinets from a custom cabinet maker and we placed the order enar the end of the project's 3 weeks...and delivery took 6 weeks. So that caused the delay in the project finish, which was totally our fault, not Mark's. However, we felt we had to buy custom cabinets because the ready-made double vanity cabinets we saw from the sources and vendors Mark suggested were not satisfactory. By the time the project started, we still had not chosen the sink vanity, and had no other options left. We saw some examples online, but neither we nor Mark knew where to find these vanity cabinets. So we went to a custom cabinet builder to get the layout of the design. Perhaps if we knew before the project started that options for sink vanities was very limited (with the vendors Mark used and recommended), we could have planned the cabinet buying better and not been delayed. Or if we had more time before the project started, we would have asked Mark to make the cabinets for the vanity. But communication before the project started was very limited, so we felt we needed to have the design quickly done and exactly to our specifications, so a custom cabinet maker was the best choice. The project was finished more or less on time once we had the cabinets/vanity delivered. The quarry cut the granite wrong despite Mark going over the design many, many times with the quarry. This resulted in a small delay of 1 week. POSITIVES:When Mark was done with the project, it was really worth the wait! We love our bathroom and the floors Mark put in. Mark is extremely accessible by cell phone and or e-mail. Mark is young, so he's conversant with technology and e-mail. Sending him links of fixtures or colors, or pictures of things we wanted was a cinch. Other contractors we've worked with are hard to get a hold of, or don't use e-mail so it's impossible to get anything done. The price was fair, and Mark will not nickel and dime you. The price is not the lowest, but Mark's quality, skill, and professionalism are the highest! He is completely trustworthy and does the work himself. We gave him access to our house so he could work when we were not at home. His assistant is also trustworthy. Mark's subcontractors did a good job. His electrician was courteous and knowledgeable. Mark and his team were punctual. Mark gave his opinion on our choices when we asked, and also made good choices in finishes when we did not make a specific choice. For example, Mark installed travertine tile for the floor trim, when I was only expecting a simple wood baseboard. We did not discuss it beforehand, but it looks awesome! If we were doing it again, WE WOULD NOT HESITATE AT ALL to hire Mark again. He works hard, NEGATIVES:There are not many, but I guess I need to mention a few things that bothered me. Please note that all these problems were minor, and were corrected satisfactorily by Mark.1) Cleanliness--Mark put down floor runners to protect our tile in the walkways and the carpet in the master bedroom. However, the rest of the house because a dusty mess from the demolition of the bathroom. I would have like drop cloths and furniture covers to prevent dust accumulation. Everything was covered in about 1-2 mm of dust. Mark did vacuum the immediate work area and kept his equipment and supplies neatly tucked away in an unused corner, or took it with him when he was done for the day. My complaint was the huge amount of dust that covered everywhere else in the house. 2) Dust issue again-- Lumber and tile were cut in our garage, which we vacated so Mark could use it. Again, everything in our garage was covered in dust. I would have preferred Mark used covers to prevent dust accumulation in the garage. Or cut stuff outside in our driveway. 3) Painting-- Painting is not Mark's forte. Several spots in the drywall were spackled and painted over, but not done quite right. The spackly or joint compound needs to be sanded and smoothed down. Then you need to paint over it with a roller, not a brush. Otherwise, the bristle strokes will show and it's unsightly. Sanding is very important for painting to provide a nice smooth finish. This was not done in several cases. However, when I brought it to Mark's attention, he did apologize and had it fixed right away. Other painted areas were good, so I think it's probably Mark's assistant who might need to be schooled in painting.------------------------------------So again, we loved working with Mark and would use him again. He's the only contractor I would trust. He's responsive to any concerns, and he is the ultimate professional. He knows what he's doing, and will not cut corners. He will be fair on the price and will not overcharge you for supplies. Only thing is, make sure you pick out the finishes and fixtures way in advance, and make sure you know what kind of cabinets you want way beforehand. Mark is a contractor, not a designer. So to avoid project delays you'll need to make many of these design decisions before work starts.
Description of Work: 1) Family room: Raised sunken family room floor, installed wood floor, hung 50" flat screen TV above fireplace, built new wall in a walkway/vestibule to the ground floor master bedroom, replaced floor registers after floor was raised, painted walls.2) Master bathroom: Complete demo of old bathroom....Creation of large 6'x4' shower with heavy glass door and two shower heads, and installed travertine floor tile in shower, created shower niche lined with travertine.... installed custom cabinets with 10ft double vanity sink with granite countertops, and above counter cabinet. Mark also constructed mirror and frame to match the wood of the custom cabinets we bought from another store. Vessel sinks and tall sink fixtures were installed. Vent fan and recessed lighting was installed. Pocket door for toilet enclosure was added, and top-down/bottom up double cellular shades were installed. Original wall and door to the bathroom were moved over a few feet. Installed 4 light fixtures inside the mirrors above the sinks.

I was extremely satisfied with the work completed by Andersen Woodworking. Mark came out for an estimate only a few days after I contacted him. He provided the estimate in a timely manner and was very flexible and responsive to additions and questions I had prior to the start of the job. Every day of the job, he and his assistant, Matt, arrived around 8am, worked hard all day, and left around 4pm. He provided me updates everyday and made sure the space was clean and accessible by the end of each day. Mark is very thorough and noticed a bunch of scratches on the new floor we ordered before he started installing it. He managed to exchange the floor for new floor and when the new floor was also scratched, he went to another vendor and negotiated a price for a very similar floor within our budget. The job completed in the exact number of days Mark said it would and we didn't have to pay more than the original estimate. Both Mark and Matt were extremely professional, clean, hardworking, courteous and their attention to detail was outstanding. Overall, I was extremely impressed with Andersen Woodworking and would definitely hire them again. They made the remodel absolutely easy and painless which isn't common with construction jobs. I highly recommend them!!!!

I cannot reccommend this company highter. After 6 years of getting abused by contractors in the bidding process to repair a sagging porch, Mark was the consummate professional, sales person and craftsman par excellance. I've owned 4 homes, one built in 1780 and later and have a pretty advanced knowledge of wood working and home repair. Mark and I worked in concert and never condescended or devalued my expertise or opinions, something that happens to women too frequently. The porch deck was demolished to MD lead abatement specs, debris was removed, stone steps were demolished and neatly stacked on premisis for later use. Our porch's (1927) porch was rotten, but salvageable to a certain extent. Mark 's approach was conservative, functional, economical and beautifully crafted, right down to smallest detail. His crew was very clean, punctual and kept time lime promises and came in at the bid amount. What can be torture, home repairs are a pleasure if you hire Anderson Wood working for your next home repair or remodel. Met all building codes and superceeded any expectation of what I'd see upon completeion. He's remodling our bathroom and then whe budget allows, our kitchen.

We had an all around wonderful experience with Mark and his assistant, Matthew, and we love our new screened porch. Mark came up with a workable design, and the finished product is better than we had even imagined. They worked every day, even with rain breaks, and completed the job in two weeks, as promised. Mark and Matthew were easy to talk to, and very responsive to our questions. Mark replied immediately to our emails. We both felt like we were working with true, honest professionals. We could not recommend them more highly.

Mark and his helper worked hard for 4 days to complete our closet job. They were on-time, hard-working and extremely courteous. We would hire them again in a heartbeat. We highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We wanted to update and improve upon our master closets. We had two sets of glass mirrored sliding doors in an L-shape configuration, which kept us from utilizing the corner space in the closet. Mark helped us come up with a more efficient design by building cabinets and adding a pocket door for the corner space. Inside this corner space he added shelving and hooks -- giving me a lot more room for shoes and purses. Mark was also able to match the cabinet fronts to our existing bathroom cabinets thereby giving our master bath a more uniform look. We are just amazed at the amount of clothing we're able to get into these new cabinets now. No more clutter and mess on the floor!! Mark also replaced the old by-pass shower doors and gave us a new, contemporary frameless shower door on hinges. WOW - what a difference this has made in the look of our shower.

This project was a very productive collaboration between contractor and customer. There was a lot of back-and-forth between us as we ironed out what would be included in the contract, and what I would handle myself. Turn-around on answers to questions by email was quick. Mark Anderson is very responsive and flexible. Mark ended up with responsibility for everything except the layout design and purchase of cabinets and appliances, Mark hired the plumber, electrician, and countertop supplier, all of whom were quality subs. Mark and his helper did all the other work, (demo of existing tile floor and back splash, removal of cabinets and appliances, installation of new tile floor, new mosaic tile back splash, installation of new cabinets, repair and painting of walls). In addition, he picked up the bulky or heavy items that I had purchased (floor tiles, dishwasher and microwave). The work started and ended on schedule (one day shy of two weeks, plus an extra few hours of final touch-up). Everything went smoothly. I was on-site most of the time, so Mark had easy access to me. When issues arose, he brought me into the situation for a decision. We shared ideas for how to proceed. I found Mark very easy to work with. Although Mark is quite young, he knows his stuff. He began learning remodeling at the age of 14 when he got a job as a helper for a highly regarded remodeler in Queens, NY. He has been in business for himself in the Baltimore area for the past 5 years. He's a good craftsman and a good businessman. All in all, working with Mark was a very positive experience.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel, including: Removal of existing tile floor, tile backsplash and kitchen cabinets and disposal; Plumber to relocate existing sink plumbing to new location. Electrician to add required outlets per code as well as additional outlet on existing wall overlooking living room. Relocate power to dishwasher and range and install under cabinet lighting. Install new dedicated circuit for microwave oven. Replace current fluorescent light fixture on ceiling. Install new cabinetry, Install new tile backsplash, and tile flooring. Install new microwave and dishwasher. Existing Range and Refrigerator to remain. Install Granite Countertops with Under-mount Stainless Steel Sink, New faucet and disposal. Electrician to remove and replace 2 existing 200 Amp (Federal Pacific) with 2 new Square D panels due to existing product fire hazard.

Initial job estimation phase was performed thoroughly and efficiently by Mark Anderson, the company owner. He demonstrated complete understanding of our requirements and was able to offer constructive suggestions to obtain desired results. There was never any sales pressure. His approach was businesslike and professional throughout. We were glad to learn that Mr. Anderson would be doing the work himself, not passing it on to some other workman. He easily accommodated our unusual wishes such as building a support wall and reframing a door. During the work phase, Mr Anderson and one helper did a superb job, demonstrating full competence and professional level work. Mr. Anderson always selected the best quality materials when there was a choice. These people are craftsmen, not just workers. They paid attention to small details and did not take any shortcuts. They were always on time and left things clean and neat at the end of each day. Their electrician was similarly knowledgable and did the job to a very high standard. When the electrician notified Mr. Anderson that 3 outlets, one new circuit and associated wiring in addition to those called for in the contract would be required, Mr. Anderson installed them but did not raise the price of the job. Mr Anderson also took care to see that the required permits were obtained and that a county electrical inspection was performed. The end result of this job is entirely satisfactory, and far better than we could have done ourselves.
Description of Work: Install new greenboard drywall over existing furring on block basement wall and on interior basement walls. Install 12 recessed lights and two electrical outlets. Repair/replace damaged furring strips and sill plates along base of interior wall. Build short reinforcing wall to support floor joists above. Reconstruct closet and install new door. Install rigid foam insulation, vapor barrier, drywall, door casing and base molding and finish ready for painting.

Cost: First, let my start by saying that I interviewed and got quotes from about 5 contractors before selecting Andersen Woodworking for this job. While Mark (Andersen) didn't give me the lowest quote, it was only a little more than the lowest. Based on favorable Angie's List reviews and a good vibe from our initial meeting, I decided to pick him for the job. Communication & Timeliness: Mark and his crew arrived promptly at 8:00 AM every morning and I usually touched base with him on the progress before leaving for work each day. He told me what they did the prior day and what they planned on completing that day. He effectively communicated to ensure there was no confusion or rework. This was a major job with different phases and he stayed on schedule through each phase. As with any major renovation, the scope of work evolved a bit through the life of the project. Every time I asked about adding or changing something, Mark was extremely accommodating and easy to work with. I have been "nickeled and dimed" by contractors in the past and it was refreshing to work with someone as flexible as Mark. Quality of Work: Andersen Woodworking completely transformed my Family Room and Basement into something I would be proud to show off to anyone. The quality of work was grade A. Mark clearly takes pride in his work and has the trade skills that match his ethic. Mark was on the job every day and worked closely with his employees to ensure the job was done right. At no point of the project did I need to ask Mark to redo something because of poor workmanship. Cleanliness: Considering that primary living living space was under construction for a solid month, Andersen Woodworking did a wonderful job making it as bearable as possible by keeping the construction area neat and clean. A plastic wall was put up each day to avoid dust getting into other areas of the house. Every day that I came home from work, the area was free of debris and all of their tools and materials were neatly stacked together. Overall: I could not be happier with my choice in contractors for this job. The combination of cost and quality could not be beat. I can confidently recommend Andersen Woodworking for any home renovation project and plan to use them again for any future home improvement projects of my own.

We had previously used Mark Andersen for a basement remodeling project and were happy with the work so we obtained an estimate for the door replacement project. The estimate was almost half the price of the Pella Company's quote. Since Mark had experience installing these doors, we decided to go with his team. The entire project was very straightforward. Mark ordered the doors which met the federal government tax credit criteria from Lowe's. We selected the storm door and entry door. The main lag time was shipment of the patio doors which took about 6 weeks. Mark and his team of 2 men completed the installation in about 2 days. They managed to install a tricky second story sliding patio door which was not easily accessible. Overall the quality of the work was excellent. Mark and his team were very responsive to questions and paid attention to details. They did a nice job cleaning up afterwards. I would highly recommend them for any future work.
Description of Work: We had 4 sliding patio doors in our townhouse replaced with Pella Thermastar energy efficient doors. The front entry door and storm door were also replaced.

Contractor was prompt and professional at all times. Very trustworthy. Mark, the owner, was on the job at all times from start to finish. I felt very comfortable leaving the house while they were there. Mark actually turned off a boiling pot on the stove that I had left on when I left the house. Delivered almost everything that was in contract. The estimated time frame was three weeks and we were one day ahead of schedule. The only complaint that I have was his lack of attention to the finished detail and his rush to finish and move on to his next job as this one was ending . The last three days I felt were rushed and some of the things I requested to be fixed were not done or not done properly. For example, one of the closets had no molding on the inside around the door frame. The basement door that was replaced was not finished outside under the sill plate. You can see the foam and there is nothing to support the outer half of the sill plate. They also used wood molding on the exterior basement door when we asked them to use the newer non wood molding that will not rot in the weather. Ceiling tiles that were smudged with dirty marks on them were painted over with a flat paint that did not match the eggshell shine and as a result you can see flat patches of color on quite a few tiles. Looks very unprofessional. When putting up white ceiling tiles you would think they would make sure their hands were clean in my opinion, use gloves of some sort or at the very least use the proper touch up paint. Even though Mark had suggested using a flush mount ceiling tile to retain as much ceiling height as possible, it appeared that he was not really that familiar with the system. I chose a tile with an architectural style that Mark did not know how to address the unfinished ends where the tile had to be cut. There are places where the grid system around the perimeter of the ceiling droops and bows. A plate in the ceiling tile that I asked him to remove and replace with a new tile was not done. The grid system itself was not cleaned and had dirty smudges all over. I cleaned that myself. A pencil marked X was left on one tile. Other things like a patch on the drywall coming down the steps was not sanded and primed before painting and now sticks out like a sore thumb. Flooring at the bottom of the steps was cut too short and the shoe molding does not cover it. An inside corner wall was beginning to crack at the bottom and was not fixed at all. Tiles that were cut too short in corners were not fixed as asked. Yellow paint was on all of the white light switches. The stair railing and Newel post were supposed to be oak and stained. Instead he used hickory (they were already installed when he told me) which he told me could not be stained but would have a painted stain. The unfinished product looked nice so I said OK. but when the painted stain was applied there were splatters all over the floor that were not cleaned up. It's the little things that really make the difference between a good contractor and a really good contractor. I did not contact Mark to come back and fix these things because he didn't fix the things that he was asked to fix the first time. To me that means in his book I wasn't worth the effort and in my book if you want an A+ rating then you have to go beyond and do A+ work. The one thing I regret was paying the remaining balance before doing a second, more thorough walk through. If I had done that he would have had to fix these things so he would get paid. Now that being said, I was 85% pleased with the overall remodel. The basic structure and drywall, the flooring and trim were well done. Make sure you give yourself a day to do a through check of all the work that was done.

The work looks great. The ceiling and lights in the living room create a bright, vibrant space. You would never know that the ceiling had water damage. We especially wanted to get the windows in before the end of 2010 for tax purposes, and Mark was very helpful. Their scheduling was eight weeks out when we finally made our decision, and that put us into December. (Plan ahead for the scheduling timeline.) The windows ended up being delayed from the manufacturer, so the work was actually done while we were away for the holidays. I felt comfortable giving a key to Mark and he left it with our neighbor afterwords. I was more worried about sending the key through the mail! The job took two days and he emailed and called with updates and photos of the work while we were gone.
Description of Work: Anderson replaced four casement windows on the third floor of our home. We live in a covenant community, so he worked within the guidelines to order an appropriate style. He also replaced some of the exterior trim surrounding the windows that had rotted out, with low-maintenance plastic trim. He also repaired our living room ceiling, which had past water damage, and installed six recessed can lights.

Prompt response to estimate request. Very professional onsite. Plans were well done. Very interested in custom cabinetry. May be calling back just for that. However, did not go with this contractor for the basement.

I contacted Mark for an estimate and he was very responsive and punctual. We discussed ideas and options, and he took the time to help me identify exactly what I wanted for that space. A day later I had an estimate and a reasonable cost, and he began constructing the unit from maple hardwoods. I really appreciated how well he worked around a couple issues, like the AC duct hanging from the ceiling, and a window on one side of the unit. What really stands out to me is how much pride and attention to detail Mark took in its construction - this is not a simple shelving unit but a fine piece of handcrafted woodwork. I'm sure he could have cut corners and saved himself some work, but every single aspect of this shelving unit is top-quality. The shelving is exactly what I envisioned and wanted, and an unexpected touch is the addition of a dimmer for the lighting, which I wouldn't have thought to include beforehand but now am thankful he included. Overall, I can't be more pleased with the shelving unit and the quality of Andersen Woodworking. If you're looking for quality, outstanding craftsmanship, and professionalism, contact Mark at Andersen Woodworking. I'm having him do additional shelving for my living room and will contact him when the time comes for a kitchen remodel.
Description of Work: Mark designed and constructed a built-in maple shelving unit, with reinforced adjustable shelves, a lighting element, and a baseboard electrical outlet.

Wonderful company and we would definitely use them again. Very responsive. Allowed us to pick out the floor and ceiling fan online and then he went and picked them up. Had book of paint swatches he brought to our house and then got the paint. Again, highly, highly recommend!! The new room is awesome, such a dramatic improvement! Thanks!!!

Mark was great! He was prompt in responding to my initial requests and issued an estimate (that he stuck to) within a day of surveying the site. He worked with my timeline (did not blow me off after it took me a few weeks of budget-working and readying the project) and completed the project exactly when he said he would. Mark showed up promptly each morning at 8:30 for four days, communicated whenever he foresaw a problem with the project, and cleaned up after himself completely on the last day (not to mention making sure the project site was as neat as possible at the end of each day - no hazards or safety concerns left hanging around). Having worked with a separate plumber and electrician (recommendations from friends), I sorta regret that I didn't use Andersen for the entire project - it probably would have gone smoother! I'm a home rehab newbie and didn't realize how unreliable contractors can be. I can safely say - of the 3 different individuals I used for my entire kitchen rehab - Mark was by far the most professional. His price was very competitive, and working with him was a great experience!
Description of Work: Andersen repaired ceiling and insulation, hung drywall, installed subflooring, and assembled and installed 16 Ikea kitchen cabinets (with their drawers and shelves). He also installed our hood and built-in microwave.

We called Mark Andersen for an estimate on the job. He was able to provide an estimate within a week and we scheduled a start date 2 weeks later. The project involved removing a plastic shower stall and floor pan which were leaking and causing damage to the flooring. We replaced this with a custom tiling on the walls and floors, new hardware, and shower door. Additionally we replaced the carpeting in basement and installed 500 sq ft of laminate flooring and hardwood on the basement steps. We also added vinyl tile to a small kitchenette in our basement. Overall the project went very smoothly. We were able to pick all our materials from local stores and Mark and his team purchased them. The demo took about a day and entire project took 4 days. The team (Mark and 2 others) did a very nice job on the project. The entire team was very courteous, professional, and prompt. They also did a nice job cleaning up after themselves every day. We are very happy with the work and will definitely use them for other projects.

The owner Mark Anderson came to give us an estimate. His estimate was very reasonable, so we contacted his references who only had good things to say. We then hired him to do the work. He completed the job on time, left the house in great shape, and we are very pleased with the results. He was on site for the job, and we felt comfortable giving him a key to the house. We would use him again.
Description of Work: We had a wall taken down separating the dining room and kitchen; changed the floor in the kitchen; took out the lights, and put in recess lighting.
