Description of Work: We needed to replace a very old oil furnace. Others who came to look at the furnace told us the furnace wasn't being made any longer and worked to sell us an upgrade that included hot water heater (fuel oil would be used ALL Year - not just during cold weather). Petro easily found the newest, very efficient, version of the old furnace. They also got our fuel oil contract because their prices were better than others, then they gave us an additional discount per gallon for the heating season because of the furnace purchase. The gentleman who came to do the initial quote arrived early for the appointment and seemed far more knowledgeable than the other two companies. Installation started on the early side of the time frame given for arrival and the two men who did the work were professional, courteous and respectful of the home. Being an older installation they had a few things to work around to remove the old furnace, etc. but they stayed until the job was completely finished. They also fixed poorly installed cutoffs and other errors in the system that was installed through Fairfax County in the 1980's. The mess made by the Fairfax County contractors caused the upstairs of the house to be an oven and the first floor a freezer and no one seemed able to correct it. The entire house is now comfortably warm. I'm sure I'll be keeping them for our fuel oil next season and maintaining the system. I would recommend them highly.
