Description of Work: The compressor for my AC would not come on. I scheduled a repair appointment. The technician was on time, polite, open to all questions, etc. He found that the electrical switch in the box on the outside of the compressor was burned out, had a replacement, gave me a job cost, and was able to repair it there and then. He put in a replacement that included fuses, so hopefully if something happened to the box again it would trip the fuses rather than burning out. I have had no more problems with the unit. | |My AC compressor is on the roof of my house. There was an extra charge for this of which I was not informed when I made the appointment, but seems reasonable since getting to and through my attic to the roof is a pain. Just nice to know ahead of time.

Description of Work: Did regular maintenance on furnace. Said furnace was in great shape for its age. The technician was very knowledgable and professional. He took about 30 minutes to do the work. He gave us a detailed explanation of the work and recommended better filters for our furnace. We decided to get an annual maintenance plan for both the furnace & air conditioner. He said they would call us to set the appts. We wouldn't have to think about when to call. The cost for the plan was much lower than previous plans we had from other vendors.

Description of Work: I contacted All-Pro for an estimate for a new boiler and water heater. They arrived when promised and gave me an estimate that was comparative to an earlier price I had with a private contractor, but who would never schedule to do the work. All-Pro was able to begin work a week later. They arrived on time on the scheduled date and practically swarmed the house with workers who dismantled the old boiler and hauled it away, placed a new liner in the chimney, and brought in the new equipment. The next day just two workers were required to finish hooking up everything. They were all very professional and followed the plan as laid out during the estimate. A couple of weeks later a worker came to meet the DC inspector to sign off on the work and qualify me for an energy efficiency rebate. All in all, I probably could have found a cheaper price for the work, but I was very happy to have it done so quickly and professionally. It's now spring and my new boiler and water heater have performed beautifully through a long winter!

+ -1 moreI called other companies and in my experience in the past sometimes the cheapest isn't always the best, this company was 30% higher than others were however they were very prompt, not only did they replace my broiler, they were very resourceful to other companies that I needed other repairs done.

+ -1 moreThis company was happy to come to Boyds, MD to install $6k worth of new air-conditioning units just a few years ago. Called them to ask for some service on the unit, and now, all of a sudden, they no longer service our area. Not even for a customer, not even for an installation they did? We opted to ask them to do the work, even though they were among the highest-priced providers, because they put in the unit, and we felt they were in the best position to help solve the problems that have cropped up. No dice. So much for standing behind your work. Not to mention that it took them a whole day to get back to us! They gave us a list of 5 other contractors who we could call (though they offered no guarantees they serviced our area) and the list did not appear to be anything more than a list which anyone could have gotten from the phone book, not a "recommended list."

+ -1 moreThe furnace and a/c units in my house were old and needed to upgraded. We had no choice because we needed both the warm air in the winter and the cold air in the summer. The workers were able to do the work with minimal inconvenience to me. They did a good job, but overall it could've been better.
Description of Work: I had the contractors remove my old furnace and air conditioning unit and install brand new ones. It took them the better part of the day to complete both tasks.

They were considerate of our cats, ensuring that the cats did not get out of the house. All the equipment works as expected. I was especially pleased with the representative who provided the estimate (Bill). He thoroughly explained all of our choices and answered our questions.
