"I had a very positive experience with JCB and will definitely call them in the future when I need help. I wanted to completely change my kitchen but I didn’t want to shoulder the expense of new cabinetry. I spoke to Brandon about my vision (which was to have a rustic, distressed look on my kitchen cabinetry with coordinated accent cabinetry around the kitchen) and he gave me a lot of helpful info on the phone, even before I signed the contract. He came out to my home to show me what they could do, to make sure it was to my liking. His estimate also seemed fair. Once the job started, Brandon and Chris and Joe were kind and communicative, letting me know what they were doing each day and checking in for feedback. Because I wanted a unique, distressed look on my cabinets, they created the look entirely by hand based on my description of what I wanted. It was painstaking and labor-intensive, but they worked efficiently. The entire job was done in a week (they worked through the weekend) and I’m thrilled with the result. They also re-painted my walls, in a color that complimented the new cabinetry, and they replaced a light fixture. "1. Although the work was eventually almost completed, it was a very long and frustrating experience for us. In fact, it took a large part of the summer, instead of just a couple of weeks. Kris turned out to be extremely unreliable and unable to stick to a schedule. He just showed up whenever he pleased. Even when he promised to show up on a certain day, he rarely did so. There were endless excuses, and sometimes none at all: he simply did not show up and never bothered to call. 2. Kris did not replace all the boards that needed to be replaced. He simply painted over the rough and/or cracked surfaces. We were left with a deck that still needs many boards replaced. 3. Kris never finished properly installing the gate. We made numerous calls asking him to come back. He came once, said he needed other hardware and that he would be back. Despite many calls reminding him of the unfinished job, he never showed up. Ultimately, we were left with an improperly installed gate. To sum up, It was a drawn out and frustrating experience that no homeowner should ever have to go through.
