I called JL Hauling and arranged for the hauling and cleaning out of my garage, shed and basement. He called me the day before the scheduled pickup date and asked if he could move up the time. I told him that we had the Salvation Army scheduled in the morning and he said that he would show up at 1:00p.m. He NEVER showed up! He finally called around 3:30 and said that he had a really big job ahead of us. He said that he talked to my husband which my husband said that he never talked to him. He apologized profusely, but at that point, I wanted nothing more to do this company! He called back a 2nd time and said that he had called a wrong number and kept apologizing. Regardless, I would NEVER use this company again nor would I recommend him to anyone!!!! We called a different junk hauler from Angie's List who said that they would come this afternoon and move as much as possible. A larger crew would finish up hauling any heavy items mid-week.

Mr. Jim and his crew arrived on time to our appointment and they did an efficient and complete job! I showed him exactly what I wanted hauled away. He quoted me a reasonable price and they immediately began their work. Although, I had moved most of the items to my garage, there were a couple of things that were too heavy for me to move. Mr. Jim said that it wasn't a problem. He is the other movers were polite and helpful. They moved everything quickly and carefully, without scratching the walls or the floors. I will definitely use J L Hauling again.

I contacted them for a price estimate to clean out a vacant house. He wanted to bring a crew out with him before he had even looked at the job or given me a price.

The service was fantastic. They definitely know their business. They were quick, very thorough and reasonable. They worked with my schedule. I plan on using them again.

The first individual that was contacted (Non Angie's List) quote was cheaper but the level of service was unprofessional and was dismissed. Then we found JL Hauling in the local penny saver at the same time I went on Angie's list and found the company at the top of the list. All of our junk was lined up in a staging area ready to go and one phone call to JL Hauling provided relief. They had just finished a job and was available to be here in about 40 minutes. By coincidence we saw them 4 doors away earlier this day. The crew was here in the estimated time, then they explained their rates and what their expenses were so I could understand the fee structure. The price was in my range and they loaded a full truck load and were out of here in 30 minutes. I may need them again and would call them. Mark, Catonsville Md..

Called and spoke to Betty who said Jim would call as soon as he could. He called within less than an hour, and we set up a date. Jim showe up and was very nice. He managed to haul the sofa out by himeself (I was amazed) and I was happy w/ everything. Would definately recommend. Smooth transaction.

They pulled everything out and we were able to determine what to keep vs. get rid of. They hauled all junk away and put back the items we wanted to keep. Jim responded immediately to the phone call, came by to size the job, gave a quote, set a date and time and he and his assistants rolled through the job effortlessly. What professionalism! We would use them again.

My experience was very positive. Jim is friendly and professional. I will certainly use him again if the need arises.

Jim and Howard showed up at the agreed upon time, examined the job and offered a quote. Once we agreed upon the price they began work right away and continued on the job until they finished. They worked from 8:30 AM until 3:30 Pm, finishing the job in one work day. We would certainly recommend Jim and Howard for any hauling work, especially demolition material hauling.

I contacted Jim because of his Angie's list ratings. When I spoke to him he told me that it was not typical of the jobs that he usually does. He did agree to do the work because I referenced Angie's list. Jim and Howard showed up at the agreed time and got right to work. It took a moderate effort to remove it from my house but, putting it into the other house required a lot of effort. They were flawless. Not one mark on either doorway or on the fridge. After getting it into the second house they worked diligently and put the fridge back together. They did not just put the moving fridge into their truck, but wrapped the removed parts very well and secured the fridge for protection and made extra efforts for the protection. These men were very professional, friendly and hard workers. I would strongly recommend this company.

I called Jim to get an estimate to remove some junk from my house that my evicted tenants left behind. I am in the Military so I had him meet a friend of mine because I live out of state. He proceed to dramatize how much stuff was in the house. My friend had already sent pictures of the stuff, so I knew that it wasn't that much stuff. There was maybe 1 truck load. He then told me the price would be $250. I told him I thought that was too much. He was rude, yelled at me, and was not polite at all on the phone. He claimed that he was having trouble hearing me, not an excuse to be rude on the phone. He then told me that he had to charge me that much because they charged him $75 to drop off the stuff at the Miller's Ville dump. I told him that it was not my problem that the dump charged him a fee, it sounded like a made up fee to me. I mentioned that Angie's list had a coupon from $150 for light hauling, which is all that I needed. The largest item was a king size mattress. BIG DEAL! He told me that he was already giving me the lowest price. When I told him "no thank you" He told my friend that "He didn't want to deal with that B**** anyway" needless to say.. he was rude, pushy, and trying to charge way too much for light work. He didn't get a dime of my money.

This is the second time I've used J&L Hauling, and will use them again in the future. Jim is VERY responsive, prompt, and polite. They work quickly and efficiently.

I called the company and Jim's wife relayed the message to Jim, describing major items to be hauled away. I live some distance from the house, and Jim called me and agreed to meet me at the house that afternoon. After arriving (early), Jim sized up the workload and quoted a price. I felt good about the price quote and the company's positive Angie's list ratings, so I told him to go ahead. The work process was smooth and the owner and his helper were congenial. This held true even though the love seat and sleep sofa were challenging-they had to be dis-assembled before they could be moved out of the house to avoid damaging doorways. Jim and his helper worked through the obstacles and got the furniture out and loaded, along with the other items we had specified. No surprises-done right the first time! I would use JL Hauling again and would recommend them to anyone for this kind of work.

Very pleasant and professional. Showed up exactly on time. Loaded the tree branches and even raked up after. Cost was reasonable. Would definitely usr them again. .

They were prompt. Gave a price and hauled it away. Didn't leave any debris. You wouldn't know the stuff had been there.

Jim arrived on time, did the job as I requested, the price was reasonable, and it was a pleasant experience. I would use his services again.

He not only raked all the leaves, but removed all the dead plants, down to the dirt. He was there when he said he would be, and the lot looks MUCH better than we dreamed I would highly recommend him to anyone

Jim was responsive to my initial call, came that same day for a quote, upon whcih we shook hands to confirm and then he and his helper completed the job right on the spot. While Jim was there, we spoke about my shed which was in need of repair, and Jim said that he and his helper could do that job as well. He said he would get to me with a price, which he did the next day. The price was fair, and he came that same day and got the job done. Great experience and I would use him again!

He was very responsive during the scheduling phase and properly called in advance to reschedule with sufficient notice. The price (not actually quoted - but alluded to) during the setup call was about average for all that I called. When he arrived the quote was double. Being in a place where i needed to get rid of the stuff i bit the bullet and did it. What a disaster. He and the other mover scored a wooden step quite significantly, bashed a wall making a large dent and scraped the front door. I only had one item hauled away. I would never use them ever again because of the sleazy pricing maneuver. I absolutely would not recommend them based on the service and damage they caused. All he said about it was that he was sorry.

I was able to schedule the pick-up very easily. The owner and his helper arrived on time, gave me an estimate for removing the sofa, and, once we agreed on the price, cut the sofa into several pieces and removed it from the townhouse. He gave me the advertised discount.

The lady and man I spoke with were very polite and professsional in the beginning but then when we started talking about coming to my house to give the estimate, he said that typically he will come, give a price and than perform the work at the same time. He said he doesn't like to waste his gas and come back a second time to perform the work. Because in this economy money is tight. I told him that I might not have the money at the time, and could he give me a ballpark over the phone and he said no. Normally when I do business with someone, I like to know the price before hand, I can not commit over the phone that I will use this person, before I even know a price. I did not go with their service and told him I would call someone else. He was definately pressuring me that if he came out I had to pay for him to do the service, otherwise I was wasting his time. That is not how I like to do business.

They came right away when I called, offered a price way under the other 2 places I had called, and they were willing to remove it right then and there. The owner very politely asked if he could drive his pick-up truck over the lawn to a place close to the hot tub. He and his assistant took great care not to disturb the landscaping, etc. near the hot tub. It took about 3 hours, and they even shoveled out the muck that was under the hot tub after removing it. The owner and his assistant were friendly and trustworthy. I left the house for a bit while they were working with no worries.
