It was okay. There was an issue. The deal was a little bit misleading. The picture said a truck of debris and I thought all my junk would fit in there. When he got here, it was a pick-up truck. He wanted to charge me an extra $50. We talked about it and I ended paying extra $40. Otherwise he was very nice, friendly and accommodating. I had to reach out and contact them before I got the service. He was here within the time frame in which he said he was going to be.

This was a horrible service. To put things in perspective, I haven't had service this bad since dealing with Comcast years ago. When I first purchased the service, I'm thinking it was a delivery truck but when I was contacted for my pick up time I was informed that it was just a pick up truck. Ok fine. Not what I had in mind but I'll make it work. They showed up on time banging on the door like the police. It was early most everyone in the house was just getting up and getting ready for the day so maybe we didn't hear the first knock, even though someone was sitting in the living room. I'll give them that. I show him where the stuff is. I have to bulky items that I want out for sure and then some other junk that could go if there is room. There was a requirement for every thing to be in one place. The two heavy items were in the front for easy access. The other stuff was sitting about 3 ft away in the corner behind the main items. I show Jim where everything is and he starts talking about how everything was supposed to be in one spot. I didn't know it was a literal one big pile. The other stuff could have been moved into the same spot as the main items once they had moved them to the truck. It shouldn't have been a big deal but I felt like it was going to be a problem so I just said take the big items. He said he would take another $50 to haul the rest of the junk but I told him no since he was making a stink about it not being in one pile. $150 is what the bigger operations are charging and although I don't feel I had that much stuff to haul, I would have paid the extra $50 if he had been pleasant. Then he kept going on and on about how it needed to be in one pile and if I would have read the requirement on Angie's List that it would have told me. I didn't see any such thing when I made the purchase but the woman I spoke to on the phone (who was pleasant by the way) did tell me that everything need to be in the same space. I just didn't realize it was a literal one pile. As Jim was leaving my house, I heard him telling his partner about me because he was giving me a hard time about everything being in a pile and I told him if he kept arguing with me then I won't be purchasing any more services from him. They left, didn't say goodbye, thank you for your business, nor did they close the door. They just drove off. I didn't get a receipt or anything. Bottom line, Jim was very rude and argumentative and I will NEVER use their service again.

I called the business prior to purchasing the $99 coupon deal. I was told that items didn't need to all be in 1 location, which is also what it says in the coupon deal. When Jim arrived, he stated that all items would need to be in the same location, and that he wouldn't touch the job for less than $350. He also became very argumentative, and cut me off when we tried to discuss the difference between the info already provided, and what he was now saying. He stated that the job needed to be more expensive as he would have to cut items to fit into his pickup truck. He had a small consumer level pickup truck, while the Angie's List coupon clearly pictures a large commercial truck that could easily have fit all my items in half a truck load. I believe this business is completely dishonest.

I talked to Jim on Monday, and we agreed to a pickup time on Wednesday. He called 30 minutes before coming at the agreed-upon time. Jim and his helper tackled the job quickly. Furniture was moved and placed securely in the back of the large truck. Where necessary (the picnic table) the furniture was sawed up to fit in securely. The work was accomplished quickly and thoroughly, with no stray pieces or trash left behind. This is my third time using Jim over the last three years. He and his helper are always polite and careful on the job. I would strongly recommend using JL Hauling if you need this kind of service.

It was okay. He changed the price. I had to pay him extra. He came and said, "No, this is not that. This is not this. What I said was this." He started negotiating all over again and I had to pay him more money. He was complaining also that the load was too heavy for him to carry. Altogether, it wasn't a great experience. I'm not going to use him again. I'm not going to recommend him to friends or family.

He complained about the job before he got to my house. The truck they drove was a small chevy truck no bigger than a F -150 I opened the garage door and showed him what I wanted taken away . He said that will cost more. I told him to take the $99 dollar worth of stuff. his small truck wasn't 1/3 full then he said that $99 dollars worth.

Mrs. Luckhurst answered the phone and was able to fit my job in the same day due to a cancellation. She was very pleasant and helpful. Mr. Luckhurst was able to pick up that afternoon and the job went smoothly. I was very satisfied and would definitely use them again.
