THE GENTLEMAN ARRIVED ON TIME WITH HIS HELPER. THE JOB COST A LITTLE MORE THAN WHAT WAS ON THE LIST BUT I EXPECTED THAT ;BECAUSE I WANTED EVERY PIECE OF JUNK GONE. THEY WERE RESPECTFULL AND EFFICIENT. I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN.

The provider arrived early, which was okay because I don't mind an overly punctual service provider. I purchased the deal, with it not being entirely clear the size of the truck being used. Usually junk removal companies have larger trucks to haul various items, but this provider used a smaller pickup truck. This made it difficult to gauge the half a truckload deal. I spoke with the owners wife to book my appointment time. They were very responsive in setting up a prompt date. She also inquired as to what exactly I was having removed. I was very precise in explaining all of the items that I was having removed and confirming this was covered in the deal. She explained that it was. When the owner arrived, he was not pleased with the amount of items I had and wanted additional money to haul the items, and pay his employee. I told him that I spoke with his wife and she said it was covered, but he kept insisting I spoke with an Angie's List rep, which I did not. He stated that the items needed to be on my front lawn, which is not in the fine print and his wife did not tell me. The fine print does say they are supposed to sweep the room from which they haul items, and this was not done. I advised that the owner correct his listing on Angie's List, as he will continue to have displeased customers. The ONLY reason I agreed to pay the additional fee was because he was a veteran and my husband is, as well. We are avid supporters of our troops and use many veteran based providers on Angie's List.

He was responsive and price was a B but I didn't use him.

This was my first experience working through Angie's list. I found the experience to well worth while. The phone person was very courteous and professional. He connected to the provider and then gave me the information I needed to complete the arrangements. I called the provider and he was at my home in about one hour and a half. He was very courteous and helpful. They had to disassemble a sofa bed which required some tools that I did not posses. This sofa was in our basement and the original installation was very difficult as some of our doors are very narrow. With a good deal of effort and good humor they got it out after about forty-five minutes. I was very satisfied with their work and would use them again.

Mr Lockhurst, after some confusion about not having my phone # was settled, called me and arranged to come pickup the trash. He called before hand and upon realizing that I wasn't young & so realized t hat that was was the washer, etc was in the basement. NOTE: no where in our conversation was I told that the trash all had to be outside the house, nor did I realize that the special was for only half a truckload of trash. However, he was very accommodating and he & his partner and I came to understanding of the cost for doing the work. Because we filled up one truckload, he arranged to come back later that day and for another fee pickup the rest of the trash. I found him very accommodating and reasonable. He was polite, professional and did what he said he would do efficiently and quickly. I would recommend him to others, but recommend that if he doesn't call you within a reasonable time, you should call him to arrange the work.

We did not have a set time and date for this service which was okay since we left the material for pick-up in a place where J.L. Hauling could pick it up without needing to knock on the door. They arrived within two days of when I expected them and couldn't have been more polite and professional. I sincerely appreciated working with this company.

Service prompt, professional, carried heavy objects down flight of outdoor stairs. Will use again.

Work was never done. The company cancelled. they did not want the job

It went well. The owner was on vacation when I purchased the deal. Totally understandable because I own a business too. He gave me a date and came by. He did inform me that the price may go upl It depends on the amount of junk that I had. I had A LOT! I wasn't home but he delivered on time and I paid on time. Will definitely use J&J Hauling Service again.

Provider arrived on time. I had a number of items that I needed hauled away, some were in heavy bags. The owner and his worker removed all items as requested and were very polite and courteous.

We had a small communications glitch at first because of a family crisis with Jim's family but other than that, all went extremely well. Jim's wife called me directly to apologize and was very honest about the glitch. I was most impressed and we finalized everything over the phone and Jim did the rest. Excellent service.

If you live in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, use these guys! I have for many years and they are simply the best. Prompt, personalized service and fastidious clean-up.

To be perfectly honest, the man was very well organized. He did an excellent job and I would recommend him. The price was tricky. He charged me an additional 275. However, with what he did, $275 + $99 isn't so bad. I was just caught a little off guard, but it was worth it. He was personable. He called me out each time to explain the price increase and he wanted me to see what he was doing.

It ended up costing me way more than the $99 quoted. I wouldn't have minded paying an additional 100 or even 150 dollars but another $275 was pretty steep. He then asked for cash, I don't keep that kind of cash just laying around the house so I told him I'd give him a check. He then questioned whether or not the check was good since I was moving and the account might be closed. I found that to be insulting.

Angie's list published the price at $99.00 but when they arrived Jim asked for an additional $70. If I will use Angie's List again, I will scrutinize the service provider for the true and actual charge or the fixed price.

I was very disappointed with this company. The owner was prompt in scheduling the appt and taking down the correct information and repeating it back, but that was the only part of this process that went well. I provided him with the address of my storage unit where the hauling would take place and acknowledged that was the pick up spot where we were to meet for the hauling. On the day of the appt, he showed up at my condo. I had to drive back to my condo and have him follow me since it seemed to be too challenging for him to write down the address again and find his way there. I'm not sure why he didn't have the address information with him that he read back to me when we initially made the appt. When we arrived at the storage unit, I still have to remove some items from the unit to get to the items I wanted removed. He and his helper helped me take items out of my storage unit, then the owner tells me he's going to have to charge me extra for helping. I informed him he was not going to charge me an extra fee because I did not ask them to help me do that, and had I not had to come back and escort them to my unit, all of the items I wanted hauled would have been out of the unit. After they got all of the items I wanted hauled into their truck, the owner then tells me that since I filled the back of the truck with the items, he would have to charge me more. Now keep in mind he came to my storage unit with a truck that's the size of an F150. I expected something larger based on initial conversation. Honestly, I could have put my items into the back of my SUV and hauled them had I known he was coming with such a small vehicle. Anyway, I formed him I paid flat fee for his service which he them began to argue with me and told me I had to pay extra. I pulled up the Junk Hauling receipt on my cell phone to prove to him I paid a flat fee which them conceded to. He them blamed his agent who didn't post his add on AL correctly. No...I would never use them again for junk hauling. Lousy service!!!

They did an exceptional job at clearing all of the miscellaneous junk from my basement. I would definately utilize them again.

I saw the deal for $99 for half a truck to haul materials. I called and made an appointment for Jim to come out and give an estimate and, if we agreed on the price, haul everything away. His wife who answered the phone, told me to hold off on purchasing the deal because Angie's List tricked them into it and they take a cut of that $99 I would pay for it. She said they would get the full $99 if I just paid him directly. I agreed and had him come out on a Saturday morning. He was a few minutes early (the one good quality about him) and I showed him what needed to be hauled away. I showed him what I had, which wasn't that much stuff--some old trim, some broken up drywall, and an old range. He said it would be $225 since it would take up his whole truck. Yes, it would take up his whole truck, but that is because he was driving a very small pick up truck. I told him that was much more than I wanted to spend and he dropped it to $175. He then lectured me that he needed to make a living and his assistant did too. He said that the dump charged him a lot of money to drop off these materials and that he would even be losing money by only charging me $175. I told him I wanted to call my dad to talk to him about the price. As I was on the phone with my dad, Jim walked right out my front door to his truck and told his assistant "this girl thinks $175 is too expensive even though we would be losing money on it." Then they got in their truck and drove away. I technically hadn't even told him no at that point when he drove away. He was completely pushy, rude and disrespectful. It was such an inconvenience for him to come out that morning, even though they offer free estimates. I ended up borrowing a friend's pick up truck the next weekend. Two of us loaded everything in about 45 minutes and were charged $13.65 at the county dump to drop everything off. He knows it is not that expensive to drop those materials off at the dump. He tries to be pushy and deceive people into using his service. Go with a different company, or heck, spend a Saturday morning with some friends doing it yourselves.

The job went well. He even took items that were not originally included in the estimate. Positive attitude and very friendly.

I had the $99 special for half a truck. However, I severely underestimated how much stuff I had. Once I started pulling out everything it was a full truckload so I paid extra to have it all hauled away. The owner was flexible with the last minute change to add additional items. The owner and the person helping were both personable, quick and efficient. They arrived right on time and everything was removed and loaded in 20 minutes. I will use them again because I have to finish clearing out my storage room.

I purchased the $99 deal for Junk Hauling and Removal from J L Hauling. However, J L Hauling has refused to honor the Angie's List deal and prepay because "they are losing money on it" and they "were tricked by Angie's List into signing up." J L Hauling requested $150 payment to remove my items, which I refused.

They were very responsive and helpful.

No problems. Crew came on time, was efficient, worked rapidly. I actually used this firm twice, first as a BIG DEAL bargain and then at their regular rates. Still good to have the "junk" hauled away

Good work, took all that I asked for, but I thought the price was a little high.
