Work started and finished as promised. Mark Dillon obtained required permits etc. and confirmed that I was the actual owner of the home, which I greatly appreciated (and was not requested by another potential provider). Excellent work. Workers were professional, courteous, and neat.

Super nice folks. Great estimate. Ended up using someone else because we had a very complicated job.

I have been feeling guilty all summer because we have been enjoying the deck that Mark and his crew built-- and receiving great compliments on it-- without posting this review. We chose Evergreen after meeting with 4-5 deck contractors from Angie's List because Mark spent a lot of time with us in the initial visit looking at the space and noticing details and potential issues that other contractors had not pointed out. He was totally open to using the decking material that we wanted, and he was flexible and responsive throughout the process in meeting our needs. His crew was professional and personable, and they did an incredible job. There were some unforeseen obstacles and design issues that came up in the process, and Mark dealt with each one of them fairly and openly-- a very important virtue, in my mind. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family.

We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Evergreen Fence and Deck!! We received estimates from several companies and not only did we like Evergreen the best, but they were the only ones that were able to provide what we needed with our tight budget. Mark and his team are so friendly and accommodating, yet also very skilled and knowledgeable. We also had the pleasure of working with Mark's brother Mike, whose background in design was invaluable, as he came up with some ingenious solutions to some of the design challenges that we had. As they laid the foundation for the deck, they took (substantial) extra measures to secure the deck to the ground (including digging into more than a foot of asphalt with a jackhammer), but did not charge us extra for this! There were several other design "extras" that they threw in as well, but they never increased our initial estimate. It was very obvious that Mike, Mark, and their team have very high standards and want to make sure that their work looks as best as it possibly can and will hold up. They built the deck in just a few days and communicated with us during the entire process to ensure that we were happy with their design choices. We will absolutely, definitely use them again for any future work that we do outside; I was so impressed with them. And we LOVE our new deck!! I could not be more happy!!

Evergreen did a wonderful job. They were professional from start to finish. From our initial discussions, I learned a lot about options. I never felt pressured to spend more, and they never pushed to upsell additional products or services. Tim provided a detailed drawing of the new patio design, thoroughly incorporating all the details of our discussions and correspondence. The work itself went very smoothly. They communicated thoroughly about small complications which arose during the job, and allowed me to decide how to handle each situation. They crew worked very hard. Our new patio looks fantastic. Excellent job all around. Crew power washed, hand-sanded our entire deck, patched the really rough spots and then applied a sealant by Sherwin Williams. Took them nearly a week to do everything, but they didn't overlook a thing, and their patience shows with the final result, which, I can happily say, is fantastic. Deck has not looked this good in years, and the sealant/stain they used looks like it will last longer than the last company that did the same (that sealant lasted about 8 months). It will cost more than the companies that just power wash and stain, but the cost isn't that much more, and if we get the added years (as we believe we will), this will be worth it.

They kept to the schedule; communicated what they were doing we're on time and kept to the schedule. They worked steady and knew what they We're about. Their price was right and the work well done. We would use them again.

These guys are outstanding. Mark and his team very easy to work with from beginning to end. The estimate was provided with a lot of detail and no pressure. I did a lot of research and got quotes from several highly recommended deck places and they were the most detailed in deciding how to handle the project. My job was very large and complex and they handled it without any problems. My deck was in bad shape, but the screened in porch didn't need to be fully replaced and they took a lot of time to figure out how to do it correctly without unnecessary replacement and cost. The other two places just said they had to take everything down or they would "figure it out later"... My deck was very large, about 32' by 16' total plus it is about 8 feet off the ground which I'm sure makes things more complicated. We also have a screened in porch on top of the deck that had a lot of things that needed to be replaced. Evergreen did the work in a way that made sense and now it looks like everything was built all at once and looks great. Almost all of the demolition was done and the frame of the deck put back up in almost a single day, with just a few days after that to get everything finished so there was very little downtime since the door going out to the deck was frequently used. They accommodated a request to clean up most of their stuff and have everything done in time for some people we were having over. Everyone who has seen it has said it looks beautiful and was very well made, will definitely last a long time. Several of my neighbors commented on how nice it looks and one in particular is very clearly jealous her deck isn't nearly as nice...

He quoted more for just the stairs than it would have cost for a brand new deck twice the size of the existing one. I'm not sure what he was thinking, but everyone I've spoken to quoted me between $8-$10/square foot and he quoted approximately $65/sf!

The job was completed on time and done very well. The crew was professional and kept me up-to-date with progress of the job.

Steve Hash and his team did a great job. He was very responsive to my inquiry via Angie's List, gave me a good price, gave us lots of options for the job -- since not all parts of the deck really needed much work, and did the work very promptly. It all looks great, and we'd happily use them again.

Mark and his crew were fabulous! From the beginning with providing a free estimate to staying in constant contact while we underwent HOA approval, then when he obtained the permits, to daily check ins when construction began and ended, he was nothing but professional and courteous. The work was done quickly and to the highest standards and now we have a fantastic deck with which we cannot wait to start using it! I highly recommend anyone in the area get in contact with Evergreen as you will not be disappointed with any work they do. They're prices are competitive and they are just a wonderful company to work with!

My beautiful, new Evergreen deck was built by a craftsman with integrity. Every cut, fit, and installation was perfect--I couldn't be more pleased with the result. You would never know that the old deck existed because Evergreen's teardown, removal, and clean up of the old lumber was excellent. This is a quality company I recommend without hesitation.

Mark was very professional, punctual, and seemed very trustworthy. I valued his perspective and time in coming out to offer a price quote for the options we were considering. The main downside was that when visiting to offer the quote, he did not provide a written estimate detailing the work options. This forced us to ask him back twice in order to accurately compare against other offers. In the end, Evergreen was competitive and I am confident would have done a good job. However, I was uneasy about the lack of transparency around the details of the quote since they were not written. The price was a bit higher than other offers for very similar products, so we chose another contractor.

Our 30 year old fence was in bad shape and needed replacing. We got several estimates, and were impressed with Mark's professionalism and expertise. He said the fence would be completed by Thanksgiving, and despite some rain and very cold days, it was. Mark, Cesar and his crew were professional, and a pleasure to work with. My upper deck is 30 years old and was in very bad shape. Mark inspected it and found that the main post and beam supports were in good condition and needed only the addition of a little cross-bracing. The attachment to the house was not in as good a shape because of water damage on one side of the house. All of the planks and railing needed to be replaced. Mark said it was a close call on whether or not additional support was needed next to the house because of the water damage. The lower deck has no rails so needed only plank replacement. Mark was very thorough and objective in describing his findings and presenting me options. I opted to have all of the upper and lower deck railings replaced, stained, and sealed, cross-bracing added to the existing posts, and two new posts and a beam installed next to the house. Scheduling the work was difficult because of my travel schedule but Mark was very flexible in scheduling the work. The construction crew, led by Mike, was very professional, knowledge, and efficient. The work was top quality and they actually improved upon the design of the upper deck. The staining and sealing crew, led by Steve, was equally as good. Steve fully explained the options and even made special trips to my house to show me pieces of wood stained with the colors I was considering. I am extremely happy with my new deck and have received many compliments from my neighbors on it. I probably could have found a lower price elsewhere but chose Evergreen because of its reputation, quality of work, and reliability. I would use them again for similar work and would recommend them to others.

The service turned out pretty well. They have one of the most competitive prices and they were timely.

It turned out very well. They were very professional, very skilled, and they got my project done within a reasonable period of time. I don't have any complaints. Nothing is perfect. I'm not saying it's the best thing since sliced bread, but overall it's a very good job. I didn't really do a whole lot of research other than going on Angie's List, and they were one of the top rated providers for the service that I wanted so I just kind of accepted whatever he provided.

Mark gave me an excellent estimate, 200..00 cheaper than other estimates and was able to begin work fairly quickly which was good since the dogs were slowly pushing away at the old fence. The workers were prompt, courteous and hard-workin. The job site was cleaned up nicely. I would use the, again.

I contacted Mark for a quote and he came the same day and looked at my fence. I needed two sections of chain link fence replaced where they had been damaged by a fallen tree and a large branch and one side of the yard's fencing needed to have the chain link refastened to the existing poles. His bid was the lower of the two that I got. Mark was good at communicating with me about the job. His workers left the yard spotless so I didn't have to worry about my dogs stepping on any debris left over from the work. When we ran in to a problem where the stump of the tree was in way of the fence line on one of the damaged sections, he came up with a good solution and only charged me a little extra for materials. I am very pleased with their work and will definitely use Evergreen again.

Mark came out on time, was very professional and took his time to explain our options. We originally wanted to keep the basic structure but he explained the problems doing that (as did others who came out), not to mention it did not meet current code. He offered to remove and discard our broken hot tub and the existing footings. He recommend to replaced existing 4X4 columns under a previous addition with 6X6 to match the rest of the new deck. He sketched it up and provided the estimate on the spot. There was another company $2K less but would not remove the hot tub or the footings...said we would to arrange for it. Evergreen started work as promised and was completed within the 2 week schedule. I asked for a couple of things to be done when the job was done and they were taken care of without question. The work was done very carefully and the crew was very courteous. They came to work each day...dedicated to our project. I was concerned about replacing the 4X4 columns under the previous addition...the work was done very carefully and skillfully and came out perfect. I recommend them without hesitation.

Excellent service. Steve was on-site often and explained every step. Despite frequent rain, all work was completed quickly, and the deck looks great. We're now working with Evergreen on painting the exterior trim of the house.

I found Steve Hash, of Evergreen, both on Angie's List and as a result of work that a neighbor had performed. With both references in hand, I was confident in arranging for the work. Steve is exceptionally personable and service-oriented. He took the time to go over, in detail, the services that would be performed. Because he is so experienced, he was careful to focus on options, as well as clear communications of what I could expect. He stayed in contact routinely during the course of the job. He and his workers are all prompt, courteous, and professional. He identified potential issues that might not be obvious to the uninitiated, and made recommendations while being clear about what was "optional" versus "must do's". I am very pleased with the service and professionalism. The job is nearing completion. He also ensured that I obtained the Angies List discount upon initial contracting.

It went great! Quality crew always on time, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. As a result of power washing, house and deck look new - house is over 30 years old, deck is over 15. Crew was willing to go the extra mile in order to ensure Class A job. Great people to deal with - friendly, pleasant and consistently hardworking with a can-do attitude. A pleasure to work with, outstanding company and crew who took the initiative providing recommendations that were helpful in getting a better result.
