I called in early July and set up an estimate apt with Tom Dodd for July 8th. He contacted me the day before and told me about a less expensive way to go. I had to buy the materials etc. I agreed and purchased the materials. I was given an estimate but told it was only a guess. They would not come out to do an estimate. When buying the materials I realized that many people put in an exhaust fan with their ceiling light. We have no ceiling light. I called Tom D back on his cell phone and he never returned my call. I called the main number 4 days in a row and left a message with no return call. My original contact was an email with Andrew so I emailed him and no contact back. A week later I got a call from Dashel (sp?) Callan asking if I had been contacted. I said no and he told me to contact him directly. He set up an apt with an electrician and someone to rip up the ceiling and install the fan for 2 Aug dates. He wasn't sure when they could return to do the drywall and finishing work. I'd return to school with a ripped up ceiling. I called him back and left a message that I wasn't interested and was going with another company. So I contacted another company who came out and gave me an estimate and the work is now completed.

Came on schedule, did the work and removed all the debris.

They are a bit pricey, but design quality very high. Staff very polite and skilled. Bathroom looks amazingly better than before. There was some delay in arrival of floor tile which meant it did not finish in schedule. But we really liked the results and would use case again.

Remodeling consultant never followed up after we confirmed to enter into a contract. We placed several calls and no response for several months. Recent communication was with a confession that he was distracted by larger cost projects.

Been very pleased with them. They do a great job. They are a little pricey but it is worth the price because they do a very good job and I dont have to worry about anything. What we agreed on is what they did.

It was very pleasant working with Steve. He gave helpful suggestions of what was feasible in our kitchen right off the bat. He coordinated all the subcontractors so that all the work went smoothly & seamlessly. It was efficiently executed, clean, prompt, neat, pleasant, fast.

I would not use them again. The kitchen remodel went well. I had asked for a marble threshold in the bathroom which they did not do. They said they on install brass thresholds. They also did not want your input on the ideas. They wanted to do the design themselves. Whenever I wanted something changed they would not make the changes. I also had a medallion put in the middle of the tile floor. The medallion ended up being higher than the tiles around it. The tiles around it had to be raised to fix this. The tile work was sub-contracted out and the people that were not that experienced with the work.

They did an outstanding job. They are very thorough and high quality. The design was very complicated. It required very exact measurements. They did a wonderful job. They also did a great job with the installation.

We had some problems with them. They left a few things undone.

Everything worked out well. They did a good job.

Very poor work. We contracted for the above including 2 coats of paint. Contractor did not replace all the visibly rotted boards, did not prep the surface other than pressure washing (no sanding of visibly flaked or bumpy surface that remained after pressure washing the surface), only applied one coat of paint except on the boards replaced and declared the project complete. The porch will need to have the remaining visibly rotted boards replaced and the paint is already starting to flake in some of the places where the surface was not prepped. The ends of two boards near the house were not painted at all. Contractor says it replaced part of one under beam that was rotted but not visible. The contractor gave us another substantial bill ($500) for replacing 19 rather than 10 boards and the underbeam. We would have been willing to pay for the underbeam but not the visibly rotted boards. We stressed replacing all the visibly rotted boards when the contractor came out for the estimate and contractor assured us it would. We paid the entire original contract amount because we don't want to argue about the money - we will not return to this contractor for additional work and are truly disappointed about this experience with a premium priced contractor who we expected would do a great job. The contractor personnel were personable and pleasant but ineffective. The contractor supervisor did not bother to come out to see the problems with the work but responded to our complaint by offering to do light sanding and add another coat of paint. We did not take them up on the offer since they did not offer to replace the visibly rotted boards remaining and simply will not use them again. We will have to redo this work in the near future.

Unfortunatley, afer spending 1 hour with the design consultant, I never received a written quote. I was told on the phone that they do corain repair, but in fact they do not. They contract out. I was disappointed by my experience.

The company was excellent in terms of responsiveness, timeliness and customer service. They were also good about leaving the work site clean each day. However the overall quality of the carpentry work was poor. They left a big gap (half inch or more) between two boards in one siding length and when we called them back to address that they filled it with caulk. The bannisters on the deck are bowed down - they aren't level straight across - the spindles on the railing have knots in them - and the facing of the risers are split where they hammered in nails. For the price we were paying, we expected top quality and instead got poor quality. We will not use them again. We have hired another firm to fix the gap in the siding.

I contacted Case via email and received a prompt reply via email the same day. The Client Services Associate asked me for my home address and contact number which I provided. They also requested specific dates that I would be interested in for a consultation. I replied back with their requested information on the same day and asked if they had any appointments on my requested date - and to date (almost a month later), I have never heard anything back! I should not have to chase down a service provider in order to schedule a consult. Not impressed with their lack of communication.

They are very expensive. I'm not sure if we are going to be able to use them. We knew that going in but they were great. They came and spent an hour and a half with us. They went through the whole project and we talked about what our goal was. They talked about how they work and how they set up their budget process. It was very clear and they left us a really good packet. Within a week we had a preliminary range from them what it might look like. They are just topnotch. They gave us a range and quoted $650 to do the design and preliminary workup. The estimate was in the $30000 range. We wanted closets and further rip out to do down there to finish the basement. We needed a whole new ceiling and new lighting, it was a big job. It was an expensive job overall on the basement. We stood in the space and they gave us a lot of suggestions of things that they have done in the past. They were great but I just don't think we can afford them.

I had this done in January. We had a minor kitchen upgrade. The timeliness, the proposal was very good. They walked us through each step of the process. The pricing was good. We would use their services again.

good job. prompt. can't beat that.

It is Case Construction not Case Design. Very good subs and carpenter. Excellent work and men you would want in your home. However the design work is poor. Very stressful trying to make expensive important decisions on the fly. This is precisely what we didn't want as we wanted experience and design advise - isn't that that what we were paying for? We were told to go to Home Depot to pick out the switch plates, as an example. We kept thinking how can they seem so amateurish when they must renovate hundreds of kitchens. I do think that we have a pretty kitchen (thanks to our design work) but the specific minor requests I had to not repeat the mistakes of my former kitchen were totally ignored. My explanation at the beginning of who we are and what we wanted from our kitchen and living room at this later stage in our life were completely ignored, as if we never met. For such an apparently reputable firm we found their procedure incomplete and lacking in any advise and tips on how to manage the process. It would have been very easy for them to provide a much more pleasant experience.

Very well. They were very responsive and did an excellent job. Many people have complemented us on the work they did. Also, they did a very good job of not being overly intrusive during the one month it took to complete the project.

They are very professional and efficient. Their employees were perfect and I think their architect was outstanding. They were very good about working with me to get everything that I was looking for done. They also were good about finding materials that were environmentally green; they knew I was interested in that. I have used them in the past and I did not get another estimate on this job because I trust them and this is who I wanted to use.

Time frame for project was kept. Costs were as projected . Case rep helped with design/color details and accompanied owner to dealer showrooms. To fit new design, Case rep suggested ordering standard cabinets from upgrade cabinet supplier to preclude ordering custom made cabinets from a moderately priced supplier. Cabinet quality was superb Case rep did not "push" owner to add costly details or over-expand kitchen. Kitchen is now 6+ years old and still looks like new.

We gutted our kitchen in our 16-year-old house and started all over again to remove builder's grade materials and update the look. Working with Case Design/Remodeling was a first class experience from the beginning. I attended one of their free public workshops to learn about their projects and in the process found one of their designer's, April Case Underwood, to be especially well-suited to working with my husband and me. She guided us through the design process by advising us on current styles, narrowing our selections down in advance and going with me to make selections such as plumbing fixtures and tile. I am easily overwhelmed by choices and wanted some expert guidance with an eye towards resale in 10 years. Once the timetable was set for the work many neighbors and friends warned us that the project would never be completed on schedule. But Case has an excellent project management system (one of the reasons that we selected them) and they were done within a week of the scheduled date in spite of the derecho storm occurring right before the first day of our scheduled work and the fact that our house had no power for 6 days. In fact, we were out of town and the crews working in the house actually took the initiative to empty our two refrigerators and freezers for us. The project supervisor, James Woods, was very resourceful at changing around the schedule to take advantage of tradesman availability and staying on track. He provided excellent supervision and was extremely responsive to our needs and questions. All materials for the project were delivered at the start so their was no downtime waiting. We had some issues with incorrect appliance parts and James handled all the issues with the supplier even though I had purchased directly. All of the tradesman who came to work on the project were polite, professional, friendly, and always cleaned up thoroughly when their work was done. Believe it or not, we have not had to call for any fixes or changes since the final punch list was completed. I probably could have found a less expensive option for completing this project, but the value to me of a well-designed and well-managed project far outweighed any additional cost. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Service rep came in, did an excellent job.

They did work quickly and perfectly. The carpenter who came out did a spectacular job. Everything matched and they did not need to do anything extra.

It went very well. The vanity is extremely heavy, and the two men that came were easily able to do the lifting. They arrived when they said they would and did exactly what we needed done.
