The Micro Geek

Set up internal office network connections and informed us of options for multi-site/off-site networking options for my small business. It was a wonderful, well informed experience. Would use them not only for my professional needs but my personal as well.

I called Mr. Azad at Micro Geek at 8:30am on a Sunday morning. He returned my call within one hour and was at my house that same afternoon. I had wireless connectivity issues with my laptop. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Dell the night before and they could not help me - they said they had to "escalate the issue" and I would hear back in about 2 days. I also called my internet service provider, FIOS, and they could not help me and also said my issue had to be "escalated". So I decided to look on Angie's list and found MicroTech. This turned out to be a great move on my part. Mr. Azad arrived at my house and he was able to identify the issue and fix the problem within 15 minutes. I found Mr. Azad to be very knowledgeable about computers, wireless, networks, etc but he was also very professional and courteous (ie: he took his shoes off when entering his house - I did not ask him to do this and it was not necessary but that gesture showed a certain respect that he had for my house). I will not hesitate to use him again for a computer/wireless network/printing issue.

I really liked these guys. Azad came out on a Sunday night to diagnose the problem. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Micro Geek is amazing! They came out to my house within an hour of calling and fixed my computer in 24 hours. It was a dire emergency to fix my computer fast, and Micro Geek delivered! They even pointed out and fixed another problem I had with my hard drive. And their prices can't be beat. Highly recommend!

Qais came out to my house within a couple of hours after I called the company. He went right to work doing everything I asked, including removing the SpyHunter program that I had unwisely installed (and paid for) the previous day and several other viruses that I didn't know I had that infected my computer. He also fixed a problem with my D: (RECOVERY) drive and generallycleaned up a lot of trash the computer had accumulated over the past several years. Another excellent experience with the MicroGeek. Qais was willing to hear my thoughts on the source of the virus. He quickly identified the problem and removed the virus and host Apps from my mobile devices. I have been using MicroGeek for years; this was my first experience since becoming an Angie's list member. Azad and Qais are always proficient and professional. I have always found Azad to be trustworthy which is so important to me when turning over my electronic files.

I highly recommend this company for your computer system needs. My (relatively) new laptop had contracted a virus and was no longer useable. Microgeek gave me an instant quote over the phone after I explained my problem to them. Within a couple hours, the technician, who was very friendly and professional, arrived to fix the computer. I thought I had explained well what was wrong with the computer, but I really did not know the half of it, I actually under-estimated the problem and amount of time it would take to clean up the system by ALOT. Still, this did not seem to phase the technician. Each step he took for repairs he was explaining to me how he was diagnosing the problems, what issues he was finding, and how he was fixing the computer. I was not at a worry for my personal information being in jeopardy at any time. I'm sure it would have been quicker for him to have wiped the hard drive and reload the software, but he cared as much about preserving the information on the computer as I did and so, like a skilled surgeon, only removed the bad parts keeping family photos and documents in tact. He provided several guidelines on how to avoid viruses in the future and after many hours still had a smile on his face. I would have liked to have found them years ago. Even my impatient 5 year old says the computer is running "really fast" now. Thank you Microgeek.

Micro Geeks did a superb job with cleaning up a virus that was implanted in the operating system of my computer. The are very professional and patient. They arrived on time. They took their time to explain what went wrong with my computer. Because the virus was deepely implanted in the computer they had to take it to their office and worked on it. They brouhght back the computer on a Sunday because I told them that I need it by then. They removed the virus and computer works perfectly. They even installed software that protects my computer from future virus attacks. They are very respectful. I had the most pleasant experience with them. I'll never go to other places for computer services.I would most definitely recommend their services.

I had an excellent experience! I called the Micro Geek for assistance, and he came out the very same day. The Micro Geek was very professional and patient. He answered all of my questions that I had, and was very knowledgable. He made me feel comfortable and gained my confidence to fix my computer. I would highly and strongly recommend them to anyone else looking for computer services.

Update: I have changed all the As to Cs. 3 days after the visit, the CPU issue reoccurred. I emailed the owner 2 days after that because it was consistently happening. He replied with a question. I emailed back and no response. I don't know how much time I was billed for a problem that wasn't fixed. Suffice to say, I am disappointed. Do not think I would refer them to others. Quis (pronounced K+ice) called before he showed, was on time, professional, very pleasant, easy to talk with, and spent time answering all my questions. He was terrific. The company is terrific. For almost 3 hours, I was expecting a higher bill so I was pleased with the price. I would gladly refer them to others and hire them again.

Because it was convenient for me, I took my laptop to the MicroGeek home office. On a Sunday morning! He said it would take a while to check the computer, and called me by the end of the day to say I needed a new hard drive. He explained the tests he had run on the laptop. The laptop was ready Monday night, though I couldn't pick it up that late, and picked it up on Tuesday. The price seemed fair, and he talked with me about getting the computer started again. Communication was very good, and work was done well.

It went pretty good. It was working well and he showed me how to start the printer again.

He arrived and started work immediately, very professional.

I was in a panic when this FBI virus appeared on my laptop with my picture. The technician was able to come the day I called. He was very professional and removed the virus.

He was very good. He knows what he was doing. He was prompt and on time. He was here when he said he will be here and he was quick.

He arrived on time. I had received messages on my PC that I needed a new internal fan. He worked on my PC until the message appeared and replaced the fan, installed PC-Cleaner and gave me numerous tips on how to keep my PC running and also suggested I upgrade my internet service provider. My internet had been running quite slow in though, I had upgraded my speed but my provider just didn't give me the amount I needed. Micro Geek even gave me advice on me securing my A+ Certification.

Mr. Ali was professional and explained the problems that were going on with my computer. He let me know that I may need to replace my computer in the future but he could extend the life of my existing computer but could not predict the life expectancy. I was pleased with his customer service and will use him in the future when I purchase another computer and tech support.

He had really good ratings. He was very knowledgable and proficient. He backed up my computers as well. He is also reasonably priced.

Our home network was down and we needed it fixed by Monday morning because I work from home. Azad answered our call in person and was at our home within 40 minutes of our weekend phone call. He quickly determined that we had a defective router, went out and purchased a new one at Best Buy, and came back to install it. He worked quickly and effectively, and was very professional, explaining all he was doing.

This is the second time I've used this service. And, for the second time, I couldn't be more pleased this service. Azad Ali was more than accomodating to my hectic schedule--he even came to my office to pick up the machine. He took care of the problems we mentioned and did something (I have no idea) that has made the machine quicker and more responsive than it's been in along while. The repair took 2 days and he brought the computer to my home (which was especially appreciated since a huge snow storm was called for that day and I really needed it). He is always considerate and will work with you so you get the best service possible. I recommend him highly. And, I like the little Micro Geek car. Excellent, excellent service! Incredibly fast response and efficient work. Azad Ali fit us into his schedule, coming to our home the same morning we called. He checked the connection between the HP monitor and HP computer, and discovered that the computer's built-in video card was not working, so he installed a new video card, and then proceeded to check the computer for viruses and clean it up to increase its speed. Our desktop was absolutely covered with files with no order, so he quickly organized them all by format so we could easily find them. He also fixed the backup and showed us how to use our backup drive and made sure it would backup daily. While the backup was running, he likewise cleaned up our over-stressed Sony Vaio laptop, making it run much faster and able to run programs that previously would crash. Azad was highly professional and effective, and also friendly. He explained what he was doing very clearly -- important since we are senior citizens, age 70, and not computer-savvy at all. We are so pleased to have our computers running properly now, and will certainly use The Micro Geek again for any future computer problems.

I have been using this company for two years. i had dealt with 3 other service companies in an attempt to restore files that had been lost when data was transferred from my old to a new PC. The first company restored only some of my files, losing much valuable data. In desperation, I called two other "geeks" but they were not able to retrieve the files either. Finally, on a friend's recommendation, t called The Micro Geek and he restored all my data and charged a reasonable fee. I then recommended him to another friend who tells me that she is immensely pleased with his service.

I was delighted to see that not only was my data intact, but the laptop was as good as new. He's one of the most people-friendly technicians I've ever worked with. He listened carefully to my issues with the laptop and ended up bringing it to his office. One of the things I liked best about Mr. Ali was that I instinctively trusted him with my data.
