Priddy Chimney Solutions

The 2 member crew was quick, professional, and left no mess. They recommended the repairs but weren't pushy about getting the job. We decided to hire them for the repairs and hope that they will meet our expectations.

The service Priddy provided was excellent;top notch. Mr. Priddy is a very kind, honest, and professional business owner and serviceman. He and his assistant, Alex, did a very thorough cleaning of my chimney as well as inspected and replaced my broken damper. Mr. Priddy completely understood my needs and budget limitations as a new homeowner of a 93 year old house. I will definitely be calling them again next year to do another sweep.

Very well: they came the first day I called, which was important because raccoons were getting into my house! The mechanic called me to inform me of the results of his inspection, and told me of additional work that would need to be done on the chimney. Once I approved the work, they came back the next day and completed the work. They gave me pictures of the chimney both before and after the work.

The chimney sweeps arrived promptly and were pleasant and professional. They carefully prepared the area around the fireplace to prevent damage to the wood floor and carpeting. They did an excellent job cleaning an extremely dirty chimney. They installed a rain and animal guard over my chimney which they said I needed without pressuring me to do so. They also cleaned my very clogged dryer vent, installed a screen cover to prevent the birds from gaining access and cleaned up the entire laundry area. They took their time everything and I never felt they were rushing to get on to their next job. They were very conscientious and respectful. They seemed very happy with the job they had done and so was I. They took a picture of the chimney cap so I could see the job they had done.

It was pretty dismal. After telling me they would be at my house at 3:00 in the afternoon, they didn't show up until after 7:00. It was dark and the technician couldn't go on the roof, but he did go ahead and clean the bottom part of the chimney. He gave me a story about how he came from Springfield and the previous customer had a carbon monoxide leak. I took it as the truth as these things happen, and the manger gave me an additional $20 off my Angie's list price. The main office rescheduled for the following Wednesday for the roof inspection. The following Wednesday my husband stayed home to wait for them and THEY NEVER CAME and the main office gave him the SAME STORY about how the technician was in Springfield. I am trying to work it out with them now, luckily I had the sense NOT to pay the first time because they didn't complete the work.

They showed up early and called first. They were very polite and clean. It took about 30 min. I used the $20 Angie's List coupon. I would use them again.

Went well. During sweep, provided inspection. Due to lack of Chimney Top (do not know technical term) and age, had to reline chimneys. Provided estimates. Owner called to answer questions (pleasant surprise). Jobs took longer than expected. Rather than re-lining on one day, each took a full day. Exceptional crew, very professional, excellent job cleaning up during and after the job.

Very well. Showed up on time. Was courteous, clean, and careful. Seemed competent. Professional.

They did a good job of cleaning and were quick and left no mess. The only negative comment I have is that I paid $169 for a cleaning and was told afterwards that I needed a significant amount of work to both chimneys to make them safe. I do not know if they needed to clean they chimneys before they were able to properly inspect them, but I felt like I had wasted the money having them cleaned since I am not able to use them until I get the chimneys repaired.

They called in advance, were on-time, were very pleasant, and clean. Overall, we were happy with their work.

I echo the high praise from my neighbor and others on Angie's List. It was easy and quick to schedule the appointment, the person on the phone asked if I wanted a reminder call, and then they called on the day of service to tell me the crew was running early (the nerve!). The crew was quietly confident and competent - barking dog didn't faze them. The crew chief patiently explained what was going on, and made recommendations - offered future services but didn't push. Delightful! Even apologized (!!) for his ringing cell phone and for blocking our car in the driveway - which he moved right away.

On time, very professional. Cleaned up very well, was told that I needed to have both the furnace and fireplace flues re-lined. Followed up with background and cost estimate within a week. Excellent. Only comment, would have liked to had more evidence (pictures?) of the damage and urgency of the need to re-line my chimney (is this something other companies do?). This is the only reason for a B instead of an A.

Company has good customer service, from arriving when scheduled, telephoning when delayed, neat work habits and thorough clean up. The assistant did a good job of vacuuming the work areas! Competitive pricing. All company staff was polite and courteous, from the office staff, to those who do the work at the site. The workers would tell me when they were going to lunch, how far they have proceeded, etc. They answered my questions, when I went to check on the status of the work. NO ATTITUDE PROBLEM! Jerry Priddy, owner, came for the estimate and established a good tone by offering me a payment plan to help with the cost. I was very pleased about this, because I have several repair jobs, that need to be addressed. As a stranger and potential customer, he was very trustworthy of me. I trusted him, because of his inclusion on Angie's list.

The workers turned up on time but without dust sheets so we refused to let them start the work until they had some. Also, the work took a day longer than expected. The problems started when the work was completed and we lit our first fire. Huge amounts of smoke seeped out of the join between the wall and the mantel including through the electrical socket above the mantel piece! Priddy returned to re-patch inside the chimney and to correct the smoke stains on the fireplace and walls. All in all, it was not a good experience. We would not hire them again.

The crew arrived pretty much on time. They were incredibly hardworking and finished the job in one day. All debris was removed and the inside areas thoroughly vacuumed. I have used Jerry Priddy's company since 1994 and would recommend it to anybody needing chimney/fireplace work.

Good service overall. They were in and out within one hour. It took 30 minutes per chimney. A 2 man crew. $139 per chimney, I would have thought they'd offer a reduced price for multiple chimneys on one stop. They did a visual inspection from the roof, outside as well as inside. I called one day and they were able to come the next. They told me they'd arrive between 12 and 2 but showed up early. I asked the service tech why he came early and he said that he was scheduled to come between 11 and 1. No problem since I was there anyway but it could have been.

Very good--have used Priddy a couple of times and have been satisfied with work, timeliness, etc. Price seems on par with other chimney services.

Very good work. Provided a two hour window which they observed. Clean and efficient. A little expensive for this type of work but worth it.

This is my 2nd time having Priddy out & they were excellent. Showed up on time, were professional, & left area very clean. The fellow even fixed the handle on my screen door because he noticed it was loose!

The chimney looks very nice. The brick work was done very well and the new bricks match the old. However, we had some scheduling difficulties with them and the job that they said would take 3 days-took a week to finish. We have a new dog and he is very sensitive to noises, so I asked them to work when I was home. They left a couple of times at noon, promising to return later in the day and then did not return and did not call, so I sat here waiting for them. One day they didn't come at all (but had sent our crew elsewhere instead) and never bothered to notify us, which left the scaffolding to the roof in place for 4 extra days, and me waiting at the house for hours. So the communication with them was an issue, but the workers themselves were polite and spoke excellent English. They were more expensive with their estimate than the other company was, but brought the price down to be competitive, and the company allowed us a payment plan as we were previous customers.

The work crew of two arrived promptly, were polite and worked neatly and quietly. They finished the work a half hour ahead of schedule.

THEY ARE A VERY PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. THEY LEFT THE HOUSE VERY CLEAN. THEY HAVE WORKED FOR ME BEFORE, THEY DO QUALITY WORK, & I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

SEARS IS RELIABLE FOR GOOD APPLIANCE SERVICES. THEY MAKE SURE THAT THE JOB IS WELL DONE AND ARE QUICK TO CORRECT MISTAKES. THIS IS A GOOD COMPANY THAT LIKES TO PLEASE ITS CUSTOMERS.

PRIDDY CHIMNEY SWEEP PROVIDED A GOOD QUALITY CHIMNEY SWEEP SERVICE. THE PRICE WAS GOOD, AND THEY WERE REASONABLY QUICK. THIS WAS OVERALL A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

PRIDDY CLEAN WAS HERE ON THE DAY THEY SAID THEY WOULD & WITHIN THE 2 HOUR WINDOW THEY GAVE ME. THEY LAID A TARP DOWN TO PROTECT MY CARPET. THE 2 MEN WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY CLEANED THE INSIDE OF THE CHIMNEY & THEN WENT OUTSIDE THE INSPECT THE STACK.
