Priddy Chimney Solutions

They came out and barely spoke to me. They came, looked at the stuff and told me that they had to call their office. They went to the truck and I was waiting and when they came out of the truck, they told me that they could not give me an estimate at that time and they did not call me back. It was a bad experience because they did not know what they were doing and I did not get an estimate. I am glad I did not use them.

Their service was good. They were thorough. I would rate them as very good. I would use them again in the future if need be.

Did excellent work for a fair price

They were really very professional. They were super-prompt. They really explained quite well what the problem was and what the solution was and explained why their quote was higher than another company I had got a quote from. It had to be redone. It couldn’t just be re-grouted because the entire thing was leaning to the left. They were able to do it the next day and finish it in a day. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.

They did some work for me, and they recommended some additional work for which they offered me a discount. I didn’t get it done but they offered it.

Excellent - these guys came the day after I called them for the inspection/quote, repaired the following day , and came in $1900 cheaper than Winston. I don't think they even charged me for the estimate. They even sent photos of their work to my email address - what else could they have done better? I would absolutely recommend them.

The workmen were intelligent and did what they did on time and well. They were pleasant but did not waste time. It was extremely hot but they worked safely and brought everything they needed. Our chimney was a big problem and it is no longer. Also, they identified damaged bricks that just chipped off -- meaning that they accurately assessed what really needed to be done and then did it. They were careful to give estimates at every stage. I will use them again, though I hope I won't need to very soon ..

We felt that they did an outstanding job in every way. We had a design defect in our chimney arrangement that made it difficult to avoid smoke from one chimney backing down into another flue. It took considerable effort to solve this problem; they had to come back and try again more than once. Normally, I'd say, "Why didn't they do it right the first time," but we had already struggled with this problem years previously with another company, and the difference was like night and day. The work was meticulous, absolutely no dirt whatsoever after they left, and everyone involved with the job worked hard to solve the problem. I realize that I'm writing this review 3-1/2 years after the fact, which I feel bad about. On the other hand, I can report that after that long period of time we are still satisfied with their work. Nothing has come to light that would make us regret spending a considerable amount of money to make it possible to use our fireplaces.

Had had an inspection by another company who wanted to charge $2800, so called Priddy based on the previous reviews found here. When they quoted $1700 for exactly the same job using the same materials i said yes. They came promptly, were professional and explained the work done in an easy to understand manner, and i saved $1000 so i'm very pleased with the job.

The service team (2 men) arrived on time and performed the cleaning and check quickly and thoroughly. I was provided an estimate for repairs to the exterior chimney brickwork.

I called Priddy Clean after having had one other chimney sweep out to my home and they confirmed that my chimney was unsafe for fires. I hired them to do the work since they were competitively priced with the first company, and they were highly rated on Angies' List.

Came out and provided good estimate and were able to start and complete work that day.

I spent $100 on that work. They were very fast and cleaned up after themselves. They provided a very detailed estimate.

I was calling a number of chimney repair companies to schedule estimates. Priddy Clean was the fourth that I called and the woman who answered the phone, after listening to my description of why I was calling, took my information and then informed me that there would be an inspection charge for the visit. I told her that I was not calling to schedule an inspection, that I did not need an "inspection" but was calling to schedule someone to come and give me an estimate for a specific scope of work. We went back and forth on the point several times and she finally relented with a bit of an exasperated sigh, saying there would be no charge. They were the only outfit that attempted to charge me for a visit. I ended up cancelling the scheduled visit beforehand as I hired another company to do the work. To be fair this is rather scanty information to write a review on, but I had outlined a rather extensive amount of work that I wanted them to come and bid on...in the neighborhood of $5,000...and they wanted to charge me for the privilege of earning my business. Unacceptable.

They fairly explained everything well. I didn?t have any questions and it wasn?t their fault that I didn?t do the project. I would probably give them a call next year if I decided to do it. They were pretty straightforward.

They arrived at the scheduled time. Went right to work, informed me of things that needed to be repaired, or replaced. All fine, but when I handed the service guy the coupon I printed off of Angie's List. He told me that he didn't take coupons and that I had to deal with the main office. Not in a polite way. I did not complain, but what I would have giving them as a tip, went to the bill...

However, we have a problem: when we have a fire in the main fireplace, smoke billows into the basement through the other fireplace. They said it was because the two chimneys were the same height & the smoke from the former was being sucked into the latter. When I suggested making one taller, they were vague but said that adding tiles rarely worked--they aren't stable. Their solution was a $1000+ new flue for each fireplace which would prevent any smoke from getting in. I've talked with neighbors who have similar houses & they've never experienced this problem. They said they were entering their busy season and couldn't check with the owner about other solutions but that they'd get back to me. They never did, and I didn't follow up because I wasn't comfortable with their explanation. So, for cleaning, they get high marks, but for dealing with a very annoying problem, it's a failure.

Was able to schedule the appointment the day before; they showed up exactly within the two hour window; and seemed to do a thorough job (it is frankly hard to tell because we have a lot of soot build-up in the interior of the fireplace....we just moved into this house and it is about 30 years old). They inspected inside and outside and found minor evidence of water seeping; recommended waterproofing ($280) but not urgently. Overall very satisfied.

I had a chimney inspection and cleaning, which went well. They were on time, cleaned up, and gave a report. The chimney cap masonry (brick) had deteriorated and needed repair, which they did at a later date. They also took down an old antenna at no charge in order to do the work. Everything looks great.
