Priddy Chimney Solutions

The work was good. Offered a free estimate. Came out in Oct. Very professional. Identified what needed to be repaired. The estimate was $740. I got some other estimates which were higher. I got a letter from the company explaining why the costs might have been higher than what I originally expected. They offered to reduce estimate cost by $25. I went with them because of this, and the fact that they were on Angie's List. We set up a time for the appointment between 10-2pm. They hadn't shown up at 2 so i called and they said they were finishing up a job and would be there soon. They were there within 15-30min. The guy got up on the roof and then told me that he couldn't do this work. They guy said he did cement work and could not do bricks. I called the office and they apologized for the mixup and said they would send out another crew a couple days later by noon. Nobody had shown up by 2 or 3 on that day. I called and they said they a crew was finishing a job in the area and they would be there soon. He called back and said the job was running longer and the crew would be out the next day. The crew came out the next day, they completed the crown but they said they were uncomfortable doing the brick work on the rake. Below my chimney I had a heat pump, I put a tarp over that because of the cement chunks they were taking off were large and were dropping down near the pump. The foreman said the rake was above his expertise level. He said another crew would come out to finish the rake. I called and they said they couldn't make it out that day. When the second crew came out, the mason was very skilled and knowledgable about masonry. He finished the rake, and i told him that I would call the office and pay by credit card. When I called, I offered customer feedback. I told her my story and she advised that I speak to the manager before paying. She said they would have the manager call me and they didn't follow through. I get ahold of the manager 3 days later and go through my concerns. I told her that I wanted to rate her company highly but I felt like I wasn't treated in such a way to reflect a high rating. I go up on the roof a few days later to inspect the work, and I found a lot of dust and debris in the gutter. If that had gotten wet it would have solidfied like cement and would have to be chizzled out. I took it all out, and I got about a quart and a half of dust and debris. Luckily I caught that before any moisture was able to completely solidified it. The manager was embarrassed about this so she knocked a $100 off the job. The quality of the work was okay, but they promise things but doesn't follow through. The first crew that came out didn't clean up well at all, but the second guy that came out was very clean and professional. I don't know if I would recommend them to others now. I did appreciate them willing to make some restitution for the problems that I experienced.

Called for appt and was given of 2 hours. Waited two hours for the appt -- no show. Called after the window and was told he was running behind by two hours. Could not wait. Bad bad and bad

I was given a window of noon and 2pm that the company would show up and when 2pm came around no one had shown up or called. So I called to see what the deal was and was told they needed a address verification... not my problem they should have called earlier. The company did show up 20min past the time they were supposed to be here and upon getting started they asked me for a trash bag. I expect companies I hire to bring all their own supplies. Especially for $214 for 20min of work. While the company was here their dispatch called to say they are running late (a little late for that) and then preceded to try to get me to communicate something to their workers. Again, not my problem they need to speak with their own people. In all, bad experience, unprofessional, left feeling like a paid a lot of money for nothing.

They completed ahead of the schedule and did a good job .

Overall went great. I was very pleased with every aspect of the job.

We found them on Angie's list. They kept the work area very clean. They seemed to know what they were doing. I didn't shop around for other estimates.

Everything went very well. They were extremely responsive. I needed them to come out that day so my roofing company could finish work on my roof. They sent someone within an hour and they started working the next day. They even painted the chimney for me. Greg, their service rep is very responsive and great to deal with. My roofing guy told me to use them, and I hired them under emergency circumstances, so I didn't have time to shop around for prices. However, from what I've been told their prices seem typical. I will be using them again to rebuild two more chimneys in the very near future and look forward to working with them again.

The estimator was several hrs late to arrive and this was after 2 phone calls to the main office were made inquiring about his whereabouts. Still they were given the job and on the day the work was to be done the crew was scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m. however they arrived at 11 a.m. At no time did anyone call saying they were running late. The repair took less time than estimated and the service was pd for that day. The receipt provided was promised to include the warranty of workmanship, etc., but was "forgotten" by the crew. Another phone call was made asking to have that information provided and have been told it will be mailed. One of questions asked is whether or not this company would be used again. I replied NO, however it will depend on how well the work holds up and whether or not the warranty info in provided.

I contacted Priddy on a Monday afternoon after seeing one of their vehicles parked across the street whilst they were working at a neighbor's home. I inquired about having our chimney swept, our gutters cleaned, and firewood delivery. They were very courteous, quoted me a reasonable price for all services (including a discount), and to my surprise were available to come the very next morning between 10-12. They showed up at 12pm, and performed all services with professionalism and to our satisfaction. They advised me on issues that I need to keep an eye on, and a customer service rep. called me back today to check if I was happy with their service. A very smooth and pleasant experience.

Excellent company. The person on the phone was professional, polite & knowledgeable. The work was performed as scheduled. I would definitely call them again.

I used them again because I used them a long time ago.

They were a subcontractor for our roofing company and they did good work. All they did was put on the cap, but they didn’t screw it up.

We have been using Priddy for over 20 years for our annual chimney cleaning and have always been satisifed. They are very thorough, and are neat and clean.

I was pleasantly surprised at how the duct cleaning went. The company did continue to recommend additional work that they said needed to be done (replacing chimney liner, chimney cap, etc.). Overall I would recommend them again for air duct and chimney work.

They were fine. They did a sloppy job, and we had to have them come out 3 times to actually get it clean. They came out and did the job, then tried to sell us other services. They are very nice, it just took a while for them to get it done properly.

Lousy, as I stated above - they never showed up, and never called to cancel, apologize, explain, or reschedule.

I called them to install chimney caps after some infiltration issues following the heavy rain of the past weeks. I had them on the phone Friday at 6 pm and they found a way to come by the next morning at 8 am! They installed the caps and took pictures of the flashing and cement crown to show me that both were in pretty bad shape. They also advised me to replace the damper which was broken; good call, it came up during home inspection and had slipped my mind since then! So I told them Ok for the damper but that the flashing and cement crown had to wait, so they resealed the flashing anyway and replaced the damper on the spot. They were overall very efficient and courteous.

OK. They left soot handprints on my white painted brick chimney, and on the unpainted brick chimney downstairs. They then claimed that I had problems with venting of CO2 and that it was imperative I spend at least $2500 with the discount to fix it. I didn't as I felt I was being pressured with no real proof. I had my air conditioning/heating vendor and my original masonry person come out and separately inspect the chimneys and neither found any issue. I then received a letter from the VP of the company telling he felt so strongly that I needed it done, that he wrote to me asking to do the work. I still have not responded to that letter. I will use someone else in the future.

They did a good job. We were pleased with them because there were a couple of things that weren’t quite the way we wanted them. They came back after finishing the job and fixed it. I don’t remember how much they charged us for the chimney caps. I think they do a good job and they stand by their work. We will use their services again in the future.

Overall, I thought everything was ok. The crew was very professional and knowledgeable. I had purchased a big deal for this company and when they came out I forgot to tell them I had a coupon. I previously called and told them I had purchased one so I wasn't too happy they didn't remind me. I though it would have been a little more professional to do that.

They came and told me that they would send a separate team to replace the damper, and when that team arrived, it climbed to the chimney top and found it could not make the replacement as planned. However, it removed the chimney cap to do this, and replaced it poorly so it blew into my neighbor's yard with the next storm. I called and asked that they return and replace the cap (as rain and birds were getting into the chimney) and the promised repair never happened. No return call or explanation. Further, when Mr. Priddy was attempting to inform me about the replacement needed, he was not informative or responsive to questions, saying only that he's been doing this for 30 years (and implying that my questions impugned his experience). I should have nixed this company on that basis only, since his plan for the damper replacement was ill-informed and in fact, inoperable. I would NEVER call them again.

Terrible! The chimney cleaning went okay, but that night I heard metal flapping around in the chimney when the wind blew. I called them to ask them to come out and look at it, and the person told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and it was probably the flue. I told him that no, it wasn't the flue, and asked them to come out and repair the chimney. After talking to two more people I finally convinced them to come out and look at the chimney. What do you know, they had broken one of the flashings when they were cleaning. They repaired it, but charged me, then tried to pressure sell me a $1,000 chimney cap. As if!

Where do I begin? They came highly recommended but they called when they were supposed to be there and told me they were cancelling and could come the next day. So despite the fact my husband took off work to be there, we agreed. Then, the next day, they arrived 2 hours late. They performed the job satisfactorily, but what really got to me was their lack of professionalism. I had had my house cleaned top to bottom two days prior to Priddy Clean coming. When they left, I found one of my bathrooms with urine all over the seat. It was disgusting. I called to complain and after talking to 2 very unprofessional people, they gave me $50 off. I was too annoyed to deal with it any further. I would never deal with this company again.

They were okay. They were in trouble getting organized and getting the right people there.
