Description of Work: They replaced the flashing around the chimney because water was getting in and causing damage. The problem is resolved. However, because it was December, they were not pro-active about paying attention to weather forecasts to do the job. At one point they sent a crew when the roof was covered with ice. I refused to let them go up there.

Description of Work: The company's estimate was considerably lower than two others. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the cost of the job. The quality of the work and the personnel from the company were very good. There was one problem in that, due to rain on the day of the job, the repairmen covered the top of the chimney to allow cement to dry and forgot to remove the cover before leaving the premises. Fortunately, they came back for another reason and discovered that the chimney still was covered which could have caused problems had we used one of the fireplaces. Overall, the work was very satisfactory. I already recommended Priddy Clean to someone.

Description of Work: Priddy Clean tried to sell me a very expensive chimney rebuild job without mentioning the option of installing liner inserts instead. PC also told me the basement flue chimney needed extensive repairs, but the inside of the flue isn't visbile for cracks/damage without using a remote camera, which eh didn't have.

Description of Work: They are a dishonest company and I would never call them again for services. They were here to clean my chimney a few months ago and, after seeing the house, quoted me a price of $475 for air duct cleaning. I called them this week and spoke to Ryan. I told him that I had two systems and only wanted one cleaned. He had me count the vents. He said they were running a special and the price would be $425. (They had previously mailed me a letter with that same price.) I asked him how much it would cost to do only one system and he said that it would only reduce the price by $25 to $50, so I agreed to do the entire house at $425. When Ishmel came to the house (the same person who cleaned my chimney and quoted me $475), he said that they gave me the wrong price. I then called the company and spoke with Sam who said that it would cost over $900 to clean the air ducts. If you want to deal with frustration and a dishonest company then take your chances. Otherwise, use another company.

Description of Work: Our furnace company identified a problem with our chimney -- cracks in the liner which presented the risk of carbon monoxide leakage into our living space. We had used Priddy Clean over the years for cleaning our chimney so we contacted them to fix our chimney. They installed a stainless steel chimney liner. This work involved breaking into the chimney near the bottom to get access to a bend in the flue. Priddy Clean did a great job of installing the liner, completely repairing the place they had to break into the chimney so I can't even tell there was a repair. They also replaced the chimney duct work inside our house running from the furnace and from the fuel oil water heater to the chimney, and it's beautiful. They completely cleaned up after themselves, inside and outside. They were very timely. Very professional operation.

Description of Work: This is an excellent company. They rebuilt my chimney and put a cap on it, taking it down 20 courses and replacing the hard-to-find "old brick" which was required by my home owners association. For the brick, the company owner sent to Virginia and brought it to my home for approval!! All of this was accomplished with a minimum of delay even though they had a serious backlog due to a local earthquake. They were responsive and came through when I needed them. I also thought their prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend them to future customers!

Description of Work: Priddy gave me a window of time in which they would show up at my home to clean the chimneys. They did not call to remind me so I called them they day of the scheduled cleaning and they confirmed the time. About two hours remained in my window of time and they still had not arrived, nor called with status. I called them and they said I was next on the list. When they did not arrive and it was now after my window of time, I called them again and they said they were delayed because the previous customer had more chimneys to clean. I informed her that I had stayed home that day awaiting their arrival and could not wait anymore - because I had other things to do. So they did not keep their appointment and did not call me to tell me - I had to call them. I do not know the quality of service they actually would have performed and I never will - I will not pick Priddy again. I still need my Chimney cleaned.

Description of Work: I have used this company in the past and have had good service. Unfortunately, this time was horrIble. I scheduled a chimney cleaning for 10-12 window on the 10/22. At 12 pm when they hadn't shown, I called to ask where they were. "Running late will be there in the afternoon sometime." I said that when I made the appointment I told the scheduler that I had to go out of town at 1pm and was promised the men would be there in time. Because I couldn't stay around on the 22nd waiting for whatever time they would show up, I offered to reschedule for 10/29 between 2-4 pm. On 10/29, at 11:30, I was called and told their men would be at my house in 20 minutes. I said great but I wouldn't be and that my appointment was between 2-4. The woman told me because of the bad weather other appointments had to be cancelled and that moved mine up. I said I was in a meeting and couldn't get home before 2 pm. She said she would talk to someone (the dispatcher?) and get back to me and that they may have to reschedule. When I hadn't heard from her by 1:30, I rushed home to make my 2pm appointment. No one ever showed up or called. To make matters even worse, I called the office on Monday and was told the manager was out until that afternoon and would call me. It is now Wednesday and she has not called me. Very bad customer service!

Description of Work: We hire them to clean our chimney each summer. They did want us to line our chimney, and generally propose a number of things each time that we don't want to do. They drop it after that, so understand they are trying to sell their product

Description of Work: I had Priddy come out to inspection a chimney on a recently purchased home. They recommended that the chimney be cleaned and made several other recommendations. I had the chimney cleaned during the same visit and will be having the other recommended work done shortly.

Description of Work: Priddy Cealn did several things for me on several different dates - I only chose one date because that is the format given. I have a woodstove with chimney and after the blizzard of 2010 I had them come by to look for any damage. They did not find any but did find that my chimney chimney cap was rusted - the prior chimney sweep had never mentioned that. Priddy Clean provided pictures that showed the problem. They installed a new stainless steel cap and animal guard. I had them come back and do a cleaning. They did a much better and more thorough job than the prior sweep had. They noticed I had cracked fire bricks and offered an estimate for replacement which I did subsequently. They seemed to do that jon great as well. All in all, they were punctual, did good work, cleaned up after themselves, courteous and all that as done seemed like reasonable price. I plan on having Priddy Clean back this summar to clean my chimney again and will be using them in the future.

Description of Work: Priddy rebuilt our main chimney, recapped another chimney, repaired a flagstone walk, and did some other minor masonry repairs. They did an excellent job on all the repairs and they seemed to work efficiently and well. They were timely and professional and the work quality is high. We had only one complaint at the time of the work, that some of the paint didn't match the existing work, and they repainted the area and it now matches perfectly. I would recommend them for future work and would use them again.

Description of Work: Rebuilt interior of firebox/hearth with firebrick, installed flue liner, rebuilt the portion of the chimney above the roof line, installed caps/bird guards on three chimney openings and installed a new damper/cap on a fourth chimney opening ... The work was done quickly ... The premises was protected from dust and debris ... All work areas were left clean ... Good job ...

Description of Work: I was told by another chimney cleaning company that I had 2 cracks in the floor and back wall of my prefabricated chimney (right down where you burn the wood as opposed to up inside the actual chimney). They said that it would cost $675 to repair them. Mr. Priddy came and looked at them and told me that the cracks were general wear not damage, and that while they should be monitored and inspected every year, it wasn't necessary to repair them. Whew! I explained that while I loved a fire in the fireplace, I didn't want to take any chances with the chimney or a wall catching fire. He was so nice and pleasant and answered my questions and assured me that this was not a major problem.
