Arrived on time and even 15 mins early. Provider said he could not replace check valve, the most important thing for me. There was no warning in deal that some battery backups could not be serviced. He told me my pump was working, but I knew this. He told me my battery backup was working but I knew this. This information was not worth the cost of the deal. Contacted provider for a refund. Returned payment promptly without hassle.

Unscrupulous, predatory, shyster. Those are the first words that come to mind when I think of AquaGuard's salesman, Tom Cockey. My 82 year old mother began having problems with water flooding the basement window well a few weeks ago. This was a new problem in a 40 year old house. I could not come out immediately to fix so she called AquaGuard. Tom Cockey inspected the basement windows, declared the problem was an excessively high water table and quoted $7000+ to install sump pump(s). He then offered a Black Friday discounted price of $4888. My brother and I advised her not to authorize work. Shortly thereafter, I got out to my Mom's house and within minutes determined that work done by fence contractors a few weeks earlier resulted in the drain pipe connected to the downspout being angled retrograde to the house. Gutter drainage was flooding back against the house and traveling along the exterior wall until it reached the window well. Problem easily fixed by regrading soil underneath drain pipe. No sump pump needed. Furthermore, a sump would not have addressed the issue. Not rocket science to diagnose. Simple observation and common sense. Window wells have remained dry during the several severe storms since my repair. I would hate to think what would happen to my mother if she did not have her sons on hand to protect her from those who would prey upon the vulnerable. Shame on you Tom Cockey. Shame on AquaGuard for employing such personnel.

The work that was done was great, but communication with the main office was difficult. The only issue we had was the lack of responsiveness to our request, made multiple times over a course of months, to receive the engineer's report and to deal with the permit issues for our county.

The guy who came to do our Tune Up seemed very knowledgeable. He cleaned out the Sump Pit and redid the backflow valve thinggie (no extra cost). He said this was to keep it from failing and causing a flood. Seemed reasonable to me. I feel much better about my sump pump now.

It started with a Bilco door leaking problem to my basement. I called Aquaguard for an estimate, the inspector came and inspected the door and the basement, he found some cracks on one sidewall of the basement and said that's is more important to fix than the Bilco door. I had few other contractors and even an independent civil engineer came to inspect and estimate, they all made the similar recommendation though there was no immediate danger to the wall or house. When the Bilco door replacement estimate came, it was over $3000, while the door costs less than $700 in Home Depot, and the door model was incorrect on the estimate. When Aquaguard called to followup on the estimate, I told them that I was not satisfied with their report. They agreed to send a senior inspector to check it again. This time the inspector, JR, did a full inspection to the basement, it was the same recommendation, he made an estimate on site including both the foundation repair (I-beam) and waterproofing system, for a very reasonable and compatible price. He promised there will be no other hidden cost. The Bilco door replacement door is an option, which I declined. Throughout the scheduling, construction and inspection, JR was always available for any question I had for him. The crew did a very good job containing the work site and clean up, very professional. Now the job is completed, I haven't see any water in the sump well yet, whether the whole waterproofing system is necessary, time will tell, I don't know yet, maybe it's just a peace of mind. But for the project itself, my experience with the provider was pleasant since JR took over.

The service provider came out to our home to diagnose the problem. He was very professional and skillful, and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be completed.

Contacted provider to set appointment. Provider called two-days in advance to confirm. Provider did not show or call.. Called provider after missed Apointment was told I would be contacted that day by a service manager. Never received a call.. I will be calling Angie's list to request a refund. Provider wasted my time .. Too bad there isn't a way to have providers pay when they fail to meet there commitment to the customer.

We purchased an Angie's List deal for $39 to have Aquaguard come out and provide a "Foundation Inspection and Preventive Water Leakage Plan." The technician was on time and professional, and determined that our basement was not at a high risk for water damage. He even gave us some tips for some DIY preventative measures. However he noticed a small crack on a wall and said that we would need over $3,000 of work done to keep this crack from getting worse, and potentially creating a much more serious problem. Before committing to this, we had two other experts have a look -- and were pleasantly surprised that both had the same, much less pessimistic take. They both said no action was required or even recommended. Aquaguard's over-eager recommendation seemed like they were trying to turn a $39 job into a $3,000+ opportunity. Would not recommend this contractor.

The people are friendly but the inspection was not thorough instead focusing on services to sell.

This provider made an evening appointment to meet me at our rental home for an estimate. I indicated that I would be traveling over an hour to meet them and called to confirm the time window on the day of the appointment. My husband called to check whether they were coming AFTER waiting for the first hour and a half of their appointment window and they then told him they were not coming. They claimed that they did not have the correct phone number, but I had called to confirm the same day and given them my husbands number as he was attending the appointment, so they had two different numbers and my email. First impressions count.

The provider was great - he looked around the basement and outside the house. Seemed knowledgeable and very professional. Suggested a new dehumidifier, but did not pressure us to buy it right away.

Really poorly given that we failed our inspection.

He explained what had to be done but I believe that his price was to high. I am getting other estimates.

I actually ended up getting an entire new sump pump with the company. I was very satisfied with the results.

Eddy and his crew did an outstanding job installing the interior drain/ sump pump system. He was consultative, deliberative and methodical during the project and facilitated an esprit de corp among his crew. They worked very well together, were tidy and respectful of our property and privacy. He has meticulous attention to detail and was minimally invasive. In fact, during the jack hammering phase, I barely discerned any noise or vibration. Eddy is very seasoned with respect to these systems. Eddy created a masterful interior channel/ drain system with all of the critical elements that Bob (the sales consultant) spoke so highly of. Notably, he removed the slider window in the great room to transport materials efficiently and minimize disruption to the household. Jane was wonderful as well. She choreographed the scheduling of the project and the county inspection. She also shared her own personal experience with the EZ Breathe system and offered follow-up service and support as necessary. I commend Bob for meeting with us for an hour and a half to discuss the technical details of the project and keenly differentiate the firm's products/ approach from the competition. He truly offered a compelling value proposition. We were left with a very good feeling about AquaGuard and the quality and efficacy of its water management systems which are modeled after the time-tested practices of the Army Corps of Engineers. Significantly I am very confident that the firm has systemically resolved our water issues in the great room.

Fine! They honored the big deal. They gave us an estimate and they were top notch.

My experience with AquaGuard dealing with the sales person was positive. My experience dealing with the team performing the job was also very positive. The team performing the work did a great job. They were on time and were very professional with their work. If I was rating the sales person (not the first sales person since I saw two of them, the first one being a bit too forceful to make me sign) and I team that did the actual work, I would give them an A+. Why the low rating to AquaGuard then? The reason of my low rating is because of the responsiveness and luck of professionalism getting back to the customer (me). Up to now, I still have to get a call back from all the times i called. This is the area that I feel let down. I hope the company can show improvements getting back to customers since it's a true concern for existing customers as well as potential new ones. Overall, I'm happy with the work quality performed by AquaGuard.

It went well. But I did feel that it was a bit of a hard sell to upgrade to spend more money.

The service went okay. I ended up having to have them come back out to have them fix the plug in the pump. They did not charge me to come back out. I had to pay an additional $400 to replace the entire pump. Two technicians worked on the project and completed the replacement in 1 hour. They were very friendly. I had no difficulties scheduling the deal.

My husband dealt with Aquaguard Waterproofing so I don't think that there was an issue or else we would discuss it so I'm thinking everything was okay. It was fine. I think we will use them again.

We are having the same experience that many other members listed below. Namely we contracted aquaguard to perform a large job in our basement and paid a big deposit over four weeks ago. The sales spiel was the same many members mentioned. Because a trustworthy contractor recommended them, we decided to give them a go. That was a bad mistake. We have never heard back from them, despite calling their office many many times. I even requested to speak to the team leader my contractor had recommended. I managed to get him through but he never called back to follow up. The fictional Jane character is never available to set up a time for a pre install visit. This is very worrisome as with any drainage project there should be visits from the foreman way before the work starts to establish outlets for the water. I read a review above and I am about to file a complaint in DC. This seems like a scam.

The guys worked quickly. The cost in the end was fairly substantial but it was work that had to be done for us to sell our home. I was pretty happy with the company and guys doing the work. Once they repaired the issue we had no further problems and also the new sump pump helped us sell the house.

Bob Hanson, manager of the commercial division, arrived promptly before our schedule appointment time. He asked us a few questions regarding our problem and then did a full assessment of our basement and examined our sump pump. He was very through and provided excellent advice for our current situation. Based on his assessment, he did not think that we needed waterproofing at this time. I loved that Bob was not interested in securing our business when we truly did not need the service. This tells me that AquaGuard cares about fixing the problem and not just cashing a check.

Before I bought the coupon, I called them to assure that they’d be able to come out this week to do the tune-up. Then I called them back. The same lady said not a problem. Then someone else got on the phone and said she was wrong and they’d have to schedule in September. I’d consider using them again; it was probably an honest mistake.
