We began with a fantastic dialogue and I was very anxious to proceed. The owners demeanor and recommendations were OUTSTANDING ! There was some confusion about ordering, and he was going to contact me in 24 hrs when he had the BIG DEAL NUMBER from Angies, we needed it to schedule, We discussed doing it the next week, once he received a number from angies list. I was very anxious to do business with this gentleman. He has never called me or e mailed me since that day. I have 14 e mail conversations with him, and then "PFFFT" never heard from him again. apparently Angies doesn't do there homework all the time, it seemed to be too good to be true and it was. I don't know how to protect yourself from this kind of business man. After several attempts to contact him, I gave up and I am trying to find someone else,who's not to good to be true, to do the work.

We have worked with Abe several times in the past. Always A+ work!! We found him here on Angie's List a couple of years ago. There were a couple of businesses that looked good and had good reviews, but what sold me on WS Contractors was one member's review stating that Abe was a true artist. They were so right. Not just Abe though, but his employees as well. He only hires the best. We had stonework done in the past by Will and we constantly receive compliments on his work. Abe has done several projects for us with Stef, who is considerate, kind, tidy and has the attention to detail that Abe has and we appreciate. Our most recent job involved installing recessed lighting in our living room where none existed prior as well as installing crown moulding, chair rail and shadow boxing in a bedroom. With the lighting, I trusted Abe to pick out which lights to install. Ordinarily I would want to choose them, but I know from experience with him that he will do a great job. He did! They look fantastic and are a perfect fit. He obviously had to cut the drywall in several places to install them and run wiring. The drywall work was awesome...very minimal sanding required to touch up with paint. With the bedroom, we had initially hired him only to do the crown moulding (triple moulding, so pretty detailed). The morning he arrived to do the work we asked if he would be able to do chair rail and shadow boxing beneath the chair rail as well. I assumed it would mean coming back another day to finish the work, but him and Stef stayed well past dinner to do the whole job for us. I wish there was a way to post pictures to show just how fabulous the work they do is. Our once ordinary room is absolutely stunning now. Our home was built by a higher-end home builder, but Abe and his team do far superior work to the builder. He really gives it that "custom home" look. Not only has he really helped to improve our home's value, but he has made it a beautiful place to live. We have had no problems getting him to come out for price quotes or to get a job done in a reasonable amount of time. If he has another big project going on he lets you know and fits you in as soon as possible, and that is usually pretty quickly. For the quality of work that you get, the prices are more than fair. We definitely highly recommend WS Contractors.

although the job was delayed unexpectedly, the owner was performing the work and came back to fix a few minor issues quickly. Easy to work with and I highly recommend.

I heard about WS contractors through word of mouth. Abe, the owner, personally came to look at my situation. Because of a recent hailstorm and repairs that my wife and I have been meaning to do, we needed a recommendation of what we needed to stay within our budget. Abe made a recommendation based on exactly what we needed and gave us a fair estimate. From start to finish, I was very happy with WS contractors. Marty, Abe's worker for the siding, did an excellent job. Additionally, he encountered some other minor, but, unexpected problems during the work. He made me aware of them and just fixed them. I saw the work day by day and felt good knowing the work was being done correctly. At the end, the house looked fabulous, and despite the extra minor stuff that had to be done, Abe stayed within the estimate. You can't ask for better than that.

Quick and painless. Abe charged me just 1/3 of what another home improvement contractor quoted me to get up on my 2-story home and install an attic exhaust fan. He knew exactly how to perform the job and was finished in no time. I will keep calling Abe Wilcox whenever I need help with a project.

Abe and his coworker installed a new attic ventilation fan. They arrived early to see what needed to be done. They went and got a fan adequate for the size of our home. They were very professional, punctual, and efficient. They finished the job from start to finish in a little over an hour. I am very satisfied and will be calling Abe again for other projects I need done, kitchen remodel and ceiling fan installations. Thanks for a job well done.

Mr. Wilcox responded to all questions, phone calls, and emails in a very timely manner, always the same day. The new roof was put on within a week of my original call. The service was performed quickly and professionally, and the staff were all courteous and knowledgeable. Overall this was an excellent experience.

We discovered the roof on our bay window was leaking after we had our house power washed. We found WS Contractors on Angie's list and gave them a call, and the owner, Abe, came over the same day to give us an estimate. Abe did the work himself, and when he found the damage was more extensive than he originally thought, he showed us the additional damage and explained the best way to fix it. He even took pictures of the work he completed behind the siding so we could see the water proofing material he installed. He finished the job quickly and efficiently. Abe was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. We will definitely use WS Contracting again for any future needs, and we highly recommend them.

i called quite a many roofing contractors including Abe Wilcox from WS Contractors. Abe promptly got back to me and went over that same day to give me an estimate. Wish I could say that some of the other contractors I called were as prompt but they were not. The quote was very reasonable and Abe said they could get it done so that we could close on the house on time. He got it done within the week with no issues. The work was done professionally and accepted by the buyers prior to closing time. My experience with WS Contractors was very positive and I will consider them first if I need any other work done.

Abe and his crew did fabulous work! We had several quotes for the job and Abe's came in very reasonable compared to others. They were always very curious and cleaned up at the end of the day. They made sure to keep me in the loop of timeline and any decisions I needed to make. They even worked around my vacation schedule. I would happily call him for the next job I plan in the house!

Abe called me back the same day I contacted him and arrived the following day to do an estimate. He provided a detailed quote for the work to be done within the next 24 hrs and it was competitive with another quote that we received and considerably lower than the third quote (which was exorbitant). He was able to schedule the delivery of materials and installation for later that same week. Unfortunately, I was unable to be there that day and expressed a desire to be on-site during the installation. He was very flexible with working with me to reschedule the project on a day that I could be present. The workers arrived on the day of installation between 7 - 7:30 am and worked non-stop until the project was completed that same day. The temp that day was in the mid-80's and they only took 1 very short lunch break. They were amazing in their thoroughness and needed to hand carry up additional replacement plywood that had deteriorated over the years. They completely cleaned the entire site of all related debris from the roofing and left the worksite immaculate. I would not hesitate to use Abe for any future project and was pleased to hear that WS Contractors does more than just roofing/siding/gutters.

I called WS as part of an Angie's list promotion and was more than pleased with the immediate response. The owner advised all I had to do was call him during the day and he would make arrangements for the installation. In less than 24 hours WS installed the attic fan. Nothing but Cudos for the responsiveness and professionalism of WS Contractors. No problem with calling upon them in the future. Based upon my experience I have no problem with highly recommending them to others.

Abe and his teammate are great professionals who made short work of my 3 items for action. I am especially pleased with the tile work done in my bathroom shower stall - you won't be able to tell where the original builder's work stopped and where Abe's work continued. I was grateful for the careful cleanup job done and that Abe took all his trash with him. I will use Abe in the future for work large and small.

I used WS Contractors in the past for various work performed inside and outside my town home. Abe provided a quote. He price was good for the job. The crew arrived early in the morning, completed the roof replacement in one day. They were professional and left my yard and deck clean. The gutter crew came the next day to put up the gutters. It has rained since this time and no leaks inside my house. The roof looks nice. I would use WS Contractors in the future for other work.

We had four estimates for the roof replacement but we were most impressed with Abe Wilcox. Our roofing project was more involved than most because Abe needed to cut back the damaged exterior rafter tails leaving enough room to support the addition of the soffit and gutters. It was amazing how he figured out how to cut the exterior rafters and still look nice from the outside. We had some concerns on the use of the underlayment due to the interior roof insulation and after some discussion we choose the deck armour underlayment. Abe was very considerate and listened to all of our concerns. Abe provided us with a reasonable estimate that included various upgrades if we choose them. We went with all of Abe's upgrades and are so glad we did. The house looks so much better than before. Everything was done as planned, on time and in a professional manner. We will definitely hire Abe for future projects and we highly recommend him.

Abe showed up and repaired all the items on the list. He also discovered that one of the items was actually another problem and made the repair. My wife and I were very happy with the quality of work and also that it came in under budget.

The renovation looks beautiful! This is the second time we have used WS contractors and they are great! The quality of the work is unmatched. Abe made the renovation a breeze. He listened to what we wanted but had suggestions the made it turn out better. Their workmanship is outstanding!

We had Abe out to repair drywall in our kitchen ceiling two weeks after moving into our new home (one year ago). He was meticulous and we knew right away we had found our guy to do all the upgrades we wanted on our home. We have hired his company for two more jobs and we couldn't be happier. When he gives a quote, he sticks to it. One of the three jobs we hired him for took twice as long as he thought it would because the materials we chose to work with were fragile and time consuming. He never wavered on the price and his employee did an absolutely fantastic job!! Never a complaint about the extra day's labor. When we first learned that Abe was sending someone else to do the job, we were a little nervous. The second that Will walked in, we knew that Abe only hires the best. Will knew exactly what he was talking about and did the job like a true craftsman. We have another job lined up for them for next week and another after the Holidays. I look forward to working with them on all future projects. Definitely highly recommend them!!! Can't go wrong with these guys.

The contractor was on time and very professional. He clearly identified the issue and the cost of repair. He returned as scheduled, and the work was done quickly and thoroughly. At this point, I am completely satisfied with the service and will refer others to WS Contractors. I will definitely use them again for any other roof service(s).

What makes this GENERAL CONTRACTOR OUTSTANDING? 1. Always arrives on time. 2. Listens to the requests of the homeowner. 3. Calls or VISITS your home if a plan has changed. 4. Uses exceptional sub-contractors. 5. Does meticulous craftsman work with every attention to detail. 6. Leaves the work area spotless at the end of each day. This is the last job WS Contractors did (listed above). Previously WS Contractors stick built a new shed, screened in a large porch, replaced wood columns with vinyl on front porch, replaced a fireplace mantel with millwork, built book cases and shelves, built and installed crown molding to our living room. WS Contractors is, by far, the most exceptional contractor we've experienced over the years. Besides all listed above, the contractor and his employees are courteous and friendly without being intrusive.

I called to ask for an estimate to paint a small laundry room. I live right in this business person's registered community, so he may have had an idea of how small my laundry room is. He said it would be a minimum of $400 and that the job was too small and not worth his time. He didn't offer to come take a look at my laundry room either (I live in one of the larger homes in the community) to make sure that what I consider small was not too small for him to consider painting.

The work was done as scheduled. The quality of workmanship was excellent and professional. There was no cleanup for us to do, no trash, no nails, nothing whatsoever. We highly reccommend WS Contractors.

I've used Abe for nearly all my carpentry projects over the past 10 years, to include bath remodels and flooring installs. Only one time did I use someone else, as I mistakenly thought Abe had moved to Colorado, and not only was I severely rueful of my initial choice of carpenter, I called Abe in to rescue the wrecked renovation when I found out his business was still local! So I was delighted, absolutely pleased as peaches, to find out that Abe also did roofing work, which our newly-purchased single-family home needed. I got 3 quotes for a 50-year roof, and Abe came in as the most reasonable. While I would normally question the quality attached to decent carpentry prices, I knew the standards that Abe's work adheres to. Abe was great at every step. He came out nearly the same day I called him to perform an estimate. He was available by email to answer any question on style, color, or quality I had. He also walked me through competing quotes, highlighting the more reasonably-priced analogues in his estimate. He negotiated with us on price for our metal roof, and interfaced with the manufacturer to ensure we got the color we really wanted. The install happened in two steps: shingles first, metal roof second. Each took about a day, which is impressive given the size of our house and the extra cuts required to accommodate our solar panel array. Additionally, after I noticed an exceedingly minor finishing defect in the metal roof install (underlayment was not trimmed back in two places as tightly as it could have been, having been installed by a subcontractor), I emailed Abe with a picture and my concerns. He was out the very next day to fix it at no cost! We have the original kitchen in our 40 year-old house, and I'm certainly calling Abe in for a quote -- and, almost certainly, given his pleasing prices, the resultant work.
