Description of Work: Prestige home solutions serviced my house with siding and hardwood floors. I'll begin with a review of the services rendered then talk about the sales process. | |As far as the siding, I had 29 squares replaced over 3 days. Contractor was professional and his team even worked when it was about 10 degrees outside. I told them to come back if they needed to but worked thru it. End result was great and have no complaints. They finished quickly and worked exceptionally hard. | |Hardwood floor replacement was a little more painful but not due to the contractors craftsmanship. There was a miscommunication/misunderstanding between the salesman guarantee of "matching" the previous floors and my expectation of "matching". The materials were not actually the sample I picked out. The sample I picked out had went out of inventory but I was not told this until after the fact. I was assured it could end up being "close" and was expecting a little more input from the people that were assisting me to get the closest match. Fast forward to the first day the new floor was laid down. It ended up not matching close enough to the expected. I told them to stop work until we figured out what to do. Brian, the project manager, and his boss I'm blanking on his name came up with a plan within a day and laid out the options. Customer service was spot on in this regard and I believe they handled the situation professionally and kept in close contact with me daily. In the end, I agreed to having the old floor ripped out and replaced with entire new floors. They gave me the additional service at cost due to the inconvenience. I am not mad as the situation was resolved professionally but my expectation was to not go out even more than the original quotes. | |The sales team from prestige is quite "pushy" but I understand that is how sales work. I disagree with their salesmen telling people about "1-day" specials to entice making LARGE purchases on a whim. That can only lead to customers feeling bad about their purchases. People who are getting free estimates should not be "coerced" into deciding to take on 20K+debt or pay that day otherwise they will end up paying 27k+ the next day. I'm sure its not truly "1-day" but it really shouldn't be phrased in such a manner. I actually referenced prestige to my coworker for a 35k+ job and he decided to go with another company because he didn't like this "1-day showcase" deal. | |Overall, I thought prestige had great customer service and communication. My sales guy, Roger, was a nice guy and is a good salesmen but our process as I look back on it was a little quick. I wish the expectation on "matching" my old floors was made a little more clear. The work from the contractors they hired was good and have no complaints on that front. | | | | | |

Description of Work: A sales representative from Prestige came to my door asking if I needed my roof replaced. Our neighborhood had an hail storm that caused damage to several houses in our neighborhood. This rep was insistent and kept lowering the price of the estimate. First he started at $24,000 and went to $20,000. I felt a great deal of pressure to make this decision because it expired when he walked out the door. I told him I wanted to contact my insurance company to see if they would cover any of the costs. He assured me that the insurance co would only do patch work. Finally he went to $16,800 for a final bid. I wrote him a check for a deposit. The entire sales pitch took almost 5 hrs. I was exhausted after that meeting but could not sleep that night because I wanted to contact my insurance co. I called my insurance agent the next day and cancelled the deposit check with my bank. The insurance co sent out an estimator who deemed my house was eligible for a new roof because of storm damage and I only had to pay my deductible of $2,000. I also went online and saw that Prestige had an F rating overall. WARNING: Do not talk to any Prestige salespeople!!! Trust your instincts and do the research.

Description of Work: Replaced my bow window. They did not use insulation and they used painters caulk around the outside of my window. I have had water and mold issues with the window since day one. Countless phone calls were not returned.

Description of Work: Below is the email I sent to the owner on 7/1/2014. Just today (7/14/2014) I heard from him looking for his money. I asked if he read my email and he said yes, I was shocked to know that he read it and hadn't gotten in touch, since "he takes so much pride in his company". He did tell me he fired the contractor and didn't pay him...ok, that does nothing to fix my problems... |Rocky, | |My windows are complete, but not without many issues and complaints. From the very first meeting with Prestige, I have had issues, mostly with time and lack of communication, but also with safety and workmanship. | |My sales guy, Keith, was 2 hours late for our appointment. Needless to say, that wasn't a great first impression. I never heard from you guys about making an appointment to measure, until I called you. I was told Todd would be here between 330 and 4, he didn't get here til 6. Again, I didn't hear from anyone about installation until I called asking for a date. | | I was told that Todd would be here between 730 and 9 am on 6/25 to install (which in my contract states will take 1-2 days). He didn't arrive until 11am. He was here until 930pm and only completed half of the windows, but still had framing, caulking etc on the installed windows to complete. While here, the crew was very sloppy, (messy, but more importantly dangerous). I was told my daughter's room was 100% complete, to find a window (and screen) totally open--unacceptable! I have a 2 year old and 6 year old and I am responsible for 6 other children, as I run a licensed daycare out of my home.. I also found 2 shards or metal on my floor. The third safety issue was an open can of paint thinner left at my 2 year old son's eye level. All of the above mentioned, are unacceptable and were brought to Todd's attention. | | On 6/26, I was expecting the crew to come to complete the job. I was expecting them by 9 am. I got a phone call at 940, saying that the truck broke down and he was waiting for a part. I could go on and on about the texts and calls regarding what time he planned on being here, but he never was able to make it on Thursday. Stuff happens, I get it. I was having company on Saturday, so I needed the house to be in condition for me to clean it. | |Friday, 6/27 the crew is supposed to come first thing (my idea of first thing is 730/8, I think theirs was 9, called saying it would be noon, and didn't show up until 2pm. They come to complete the first round that they left unfinished, as they could not do more without a truck and equipment, so I could at least make my home presentable. At this point I didn't understand why another truck hadn't been established; whether rented or loaned. | |I told them that Saturday was not a good day to finish the job, but Sunday would be fine. Never heard anything and therefore texted Todd Sunday evening to confirm that he would be here first thing Monday morning to finish. | |Monday 6/30 I was told they would be here between 11-12. At 1140 he texted saying that he would be here between 1-130. I called at 2 after not hearing from or seeing him and he said 45 minutes. They finally arrived at 310pm. They worked until 11:30 pm. Didn't ask me, just did it. I am sure he knew that at this point I wanted them done and out. | |Todd also wanted to collect the balance from me for the windows, which was not an accurate amount per our discussion on May 29th. I told him I would reach out to Rocky today. I have no paperwork with a guarantee or warranty, I need this info as well please. | |The windows seem ok, the caulk around them is fair, dirty fingerprints here and there. I wasn't told how to care for or clean them. I can't get the sticky stuff off (so a solution to this would be appreciated). I definitely have painting that needs to be done to cover up some sloppy caulking. I will also have to call in a carpet cleaner as the carpets are now (to my standards) gross. | |Not a great experience overall and I really hope the windows themselves don't disappoint me. I would like someone to come get the sign from my front yard as I am more than positive my neighbors (3 of which) asked "what is taking so long?" "why are they there so late?" and "how many cigarettes can those guys possibly smoke in one day?", will likely not be using you guys. | | |Please contact me so we can discuss this and payment.

Description of Work: We were interviewing 7 different contractors for roofing, siding, and gutter job. This was a hard sale approach of which he provided us with 5 things that we had to do for him if we were to be used as a "marketing house" of which we would get a 40% discount. After we left the room to discuss it and decline, he 15% more off if we signed right there. Being the first of our 7 scheduled meetings we realized that his price was so over inflated. The contractor we ended up with, which has a great Angies list rating, their total cost included roofing, siding and trim and gutters. This companys price was double the cost for the roofing job in all 6 othere companies. Horrible!!
