Lumina Solar is a great company with wonderful people! In my quest to reduce my energy bills, I did lots of research on various methods and options that were available and I decided to investigate residential solar energy. As part of this research, I obtained quotes from nine different installation and service companies and investigated the various products and technologies available. With so much to learn and so many companies to work with, it took me about a month to make my decision. I selected Lumina Solar to work with for my solar project mainly because I felt most comfortable with their representative, Zac Hare, and it was clear that he had my best interest in mind. This was evident based on his quick and through responses to my many questions in areas like the company itself, panels, inverters, install, attachments/racking, system monitoring, warranties/service, cost, and install schedule. Also, even before selecting them as my contractor, Zac worked with me more than any other company on the design of my system such as planned panel placement on my roof to achieve my objectives of energy production and aesthetics, and to make sure we were selecting the best equipment and quantities for this purpose. Lumina Solar was also reasonable went it came to negotiating the contract. The total time from signing the contract to being fully operational with a 15.12 kW system exceeded my expectations at about 2 months. Lumina Solar took care of just about everything, including working with my HOA, all the permits and inspections, applications for use, and getting me setup for SREC credits. Everyone from Lumina Solar that came to my house for measurements, installation, and pictures was respectful, considerate, and great to work with even during this pandemic. My solar system has been operating for 5 months now and it is working great. During this time, I was fortunate enough to have a small glitch in the status monitoring of a few of the panels, so I had the opportunity to test Lumina Solarâ s responsiveness to a potential service call. I am happy to report Lumina Solar passed with excellence as they responded to my concern immediately and the problem was resolved shortly thereafter without anyone even needing to come to my house. Overall, I am very happy with Lumina Solar and I highly recommend this company.

Lumina Solar was amazing! I knew very little about solar! Catie presented a solar solution for my home that was organized and easy to learn. Each step of the process was documented via email and any questions that I had along the way were answered immediately. I have had nothing but a great experience with them. My panels are working and producing just as she had told me! I am an extremely happy customer and referred friends of mine to her and they are also going solar with Lumina and Catie. I spent months researching Solar companies before deciding on Lumina and I couldn't be more pleased. They were honest, efficient and the installation is excellent, both in how it works and the aesthetics. I own a historic home and Lumina took great care to hide every conduit and wire from sight. They have been equally helpful with the process to file for all the grants and tax incentives coming my way. Everyone was friendly, respectful and eager to answer my many questions. Shane was our sales and point person, and is more responsive over text and email than many of my colleagues at work. Everyone else from the engineers to the installers and the electricians were top notch. I am happy to recommend Lumina for anyone starting their solar journey.

I trust this review isn't posted prematurely but, up to this point, I have had an incredible experience with Lumina. I worked with Catie Meck during project initiation; wonderful personality, incredibly informed, an all-around joy. She was very responsive, answered all of my questions, and addressed all of my concerns. Installation and inspection was a smooth process and went off without a hitch. I was admittedly scared to turn on the system (mostly because the switch looked like one of those crazy detonators for exploding large buildings) but, it was as easy as each representative assured me it would be.

Excellent in every way! Lumina put about 40 panels on my house in Annapolis in August. I worked with Shane Williams, who was thoughtful, professional, thorough in his analysis, and great to work with. He provided by far the deepest assessment of how to set up solar with satellite aided imagery. Shane also walked me through the tax credits and rebates which help pay for the system. My house has design challenges and the Lumina team waited, communicated with the contractor that installed my roof, and made sure the installation was properly done. They were professional and communicative with me every step of the way, and my property was immaculate when they were done.T The panels themselves are very appealing, they look like flat screen TVs. And now my utility bill is under $10 a month, all I'm paying for is the connection to the grid. If you are in Maryland and thinking solar, talk to Lumina and Shane.

We are very pleased with the solar panels, battery and energy system installed by Lumina Solar. Their sales pitch was informative, more than pressure sales. We discussed options available for solar and we selected Lumina Solar after considering two other companies. All of their team members were professional and thorough. We even experienced a small problem with our installation and their CEO stepped in to make things right, without hesitation. We highly recommend Lumina Solar to anyone who is actively looking to install solar panels for their home.

Lumina Solar, Inc. was a great company to work with. Cost was competitive, service was outstanding. Shout out to Catie who was the point person extraordinaire who patiently answered my endless questions, The installers, Vinny, Eli, Tim and Ben were competent, conscientious, efficient, communicated what was happening and did an outstanding job of replacing brick work that needed to be moved for trench. We highly recommend them.

We chose Lumina after extensive research because of their stellar reputation and their installation proposal, which offered the best combination of quality, price, and service before and after the sale. Unlike some other sales reps, they did not underestimate how long the entire project would take nor the time it would take to recoup our upfront cost. They answered all questions quickly and took care of all the paperwork, including HOA approval and getting us connected to an SREC seller. They were always on time, professional, and responsive. We've had the system for 6 months, and it has performed as promised with no problems. They've earned their outstanding reputation.

Catie Meck has been an excellent rep from the start. Catie and her team were always quick to answer questions and check on me to make sure I was satisfied with Lumina. The professionalism of the installation team is also worth mentioning as during these difficult times you want to make sure everyone wears the required protective gear. Every member of the installation team fulfilled my expectations!

I had a stellar experience with Lumina! Zac called me before our meeting to confirm my address and request the segment of the bill displaying historic energy usage. When he arrived, he already had an efficient preliminary design set up in a robust program that theoretically would cover 100% of my energy usage when up and running. This program pulls historical light data for the area as well and is quickly configurable to allow for modifications based on positioning or panel type used and how that affects production (we had to do a bit of tweaking as I have the perfect roof tanning spot that I needed to keep open haha). The entire meeting, Zac was clear and concise, extremely knowledgeable on their product, the entire process from start to finish, and all the variables involved concerning production, degradation, warranties, SRECs, tax incentives and grants, and working with the energy company. He alleviated any concerns I had and was very personable/comfortable to work with. On installation day, the crew arrived early. They were quick, professional, respectful, friendly, and safe (COVID times). Installation went very smoothly and the finished product looks fantastic. I have been up in the attic during a couple of storms since and have seen zero issues. I spoke with Alex and Ryan a fair amount while Alex was in my home working on the breaker panel when they set up the bridge for network accessibility for panel monitoring, and afterward, while they verified all panels were correctly installed and reporting. They walked me through how the whole system works, reports, and what I need to know as the homeowner for managing it (resetting the connection, turning it on/off, etc). They were great to talk to and even mentioned their notes said the homeowner might be tanning on the roof when they pulled up haha. The county had canceled home inspections temporarily due to COVID, so the necessary inspections after installation and swapping out the meter for a smart meter took some time, but Zac kept me updated and informed the entire time. Lumina handled all the paperwork with the energy company, most of the paperwork for an energy Grant, assisted in getting me set up with the loan company, and helped me get set up with Enphase so I could personally monitor my panels and energy production with ease. The entire process was seamless. Post-installation, with everything up and running, Zac has been readily available for any questions. He periodically checks in on the system remotely to verify all panels are in working order and production is as anticipated. I enjoyed working with the company throughout the process and would recommend them 10/10. Cannot say enough good things about them.

Outstanding experience, from day one to completion. I have never experienced previously this level of customer service, from initial discussions, planning, signing the contract to installation, and paperwork. I am not exaggerating when I say that every single person at the company delivered a stellar performance. The 11.88 kW system has been up for a couple of months now and is working flawlessly. Thank you to the Lumina team for helping us with our solar installation project. There are many factors that go into choosing a solar solution and installation company. The Lumina team made the process clearer and easier than we could have done on our own. With their detailed, no pressure sales process, we felt confident in knowing which products and design to choose to get the best results. The installation project went very smooth; from permitting through the turning the system on. Now we are generating enough energy to fully offset our electricity usage even in the months where we have the highest kW consumption. The Lumina team helped us design the solution so that we now have little or no monthly expense to our electricity usage, which feels good for keeping expenses down and for the environment. Also there are many companies that offer 'free' solar out there but with the guidance of the Lumina team, we quickly saw how this was not the best long-term decision for us. Purchasing the system outright made the most sense, considering the tax incentives and SREC dividends. Now we have lower monthly expenses and expect to recoup our entire initial investment within a few years.

Alex was great to work with. His team helped make the process a smooth, positive and easy decision. He was always providing communication and helping with all the documentation. This was the best company and people that I have dealt with! They are wonderful!

We would like to give a big thumbs up to Lumina Solar, and particularly our salesperson, Catie Meck. We had a wonderful experience with Lumina, both in the purchase of the solar panels and in the five months since installation. Catie not only carefully and patiently answered all our initial questions about both technical issues and government benefits related to solar purchases, she has continued to be accessible 24/7. Lumina has an unusual and brilliant policy of having salespersons continue to be available to buyers after the purchase is completed. There are a LOT of details to learn and understand initially, and unless one is a little smarter than the average person, having access to someone you have already developed a relationship with takes what could be an exasperating situation back into the land of easy breathing. Lumina also did a great job estimating the number of solar panels we would need, and it looks like we will have all our power requirements met with our purchase. We heartedly recommend Lumina â and when you call, ask for Catie!

The customer service at Lumina is unbeatable. Ryan is genuinely passionate about solar energy. I got a great education on solar and the return on investment we can expect to see. Lumina managed every step of the process for us, including state rebate and establishing our SREC account and stayed in constant communication with us. They were able to quickly get us installed and inspected virtually during COVID. Their price was also lower than other companies we consulted with. We are thrilled with our new solar energy home!

lumina installed my solar system a couple months ago, and I want everyone to know how fantastic this company is, and I urge anyone looking to make the switch to call Lumina Solar. From the very beginning of researching solar companies, I was most impressed with other customer reviews and they were absolutely right. I met with 3 solar companies, and I was most impressed with Zac Hare. I had a delay by no fault of lumina and they kept me informed all the way. On install day, I had 61 panels which is a failry large job, and everyone arrived on time. Mark the electrician was awesome and his work is excellent. The installers worked 2 days in the cold and wind and were polite and very respectful , Nick didnâ t leave one speck of trash , and the installer running the group sent me pictures so I could see what it looked like. For anyone that is considering going solar please make sure u call Lumina Solar. The panels they use r the best, they take great care with the installation and you r treated as a valued customer . There r many choices but at the end of the day there is really only one good company and thatâ s Lumina. U can get in touch with them any time and u will get call or email back. All of the people at Lumina Solar were very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions with patience. The solar panels went up in one day as scheduled, and they followed up with me to make sure everything worked and I was satisfied. They have the best technology to determine placement and sizing of a system, and they were the only company I found who figured out that the back part of my roof would be a perfect place for the panels, which they have turned out to be.
