From the first interaction with our assigned Solar Consultant, Gabriel Shabtai, through the evaluation, decision making on size and cost, permitting, installation and activation, it took for us roughly 4 months: from mid-May to mid-September 2024. All the interactions with Lumina staff have been very professional and responsive. Excellent experience from start to finish. We did a ton of research before choosing a company, and I am glad we went with Lumina. We have had the system for almost 2 years now and everything works great.

TLDR: Careless mistakes; excuses; lost money; now 4 months since install and still not operational. Failed inspection. Just a lot of platitudes.

I met with eight or more solar providers and found that Lumina offered the best combination of equipment, financing, and reputation, based on their numerous positive reviews. It was a pleasure working with my project manager, Jack Wood, and Luminaâ s design team. With my input, they revised the layout, number of panels, and overall design several times to address my concerns and fully maximize the potential of my three roof surfaces. Additionally, they managed to do it in an aesthetically pleasing way. After installation, one of my panels stopped working due to squirrel damage. Luminaâ s monitoring service detected the issue the same day and promptly sent a repair crew to fix it. I couldnâ t recommend the company more highly.

All work was completed in a timely fashion. Jack and his staff was professional during and in the follow ups after installation. Lumina Solar customer service is second to none. I will recommend Lumina Solar to my friend.

We had a fantastic experience using Lumina to install our solar system. Christopher Richardson was incredibly helpful throughout the process and he made it easy to make a well-informed decision. Th installation team was on time, professional, clean and QUICK. They were on site just over 4 hours. Incredible. There were a few delays along the way that were out of Luminaâ s control (township and electric company dragging their feet), Christopher and team did a good job of keeping us aware of where the process was and what the next steps would be. My system has only been up and running for 3 days, but so far we are very satisfied with the choice to go with Lumina for this investment.

Many people, including me, are debating solar panels. That's a lot of money. But, solar power is the only free thing we can get besides gas and water. Thanks to Lumina Solar, the process was smooth and pleasant. I still remember the installment day. A group of young men showed up. They're working and chatting happily together. I was inside, but I could feel their energy. That's a sweet memory!

At the beginning of the process, Lumina Solar and Peter gave us accurate and understandable insight as to what to expect from a solar installation on our house. As a senior citizen I was skeptical about getting involved with the solar experience. After doing some research I came across Luminar Solar and a gentleman named Ryan Cook came out to see me. Extremely professional! We worked with Christopher Richardson and he made the whole process so simple. The crew that showed up installed everything in only a few hours and then walked me through what they had completed and what the next steps were. If I would have known this was so easy, I would have done this a while ago!

After talking with several solar companies in the area, we decided to have Lumina Solar install our panels. Their original presentation was straightforward, comprehensible, and all questions were answered when they arose. The process was very easy as the company took care of everything. There are so many permits, rebate forms, rules and regulations but at no time did I feel uninformed. I truly felt the company had our best interest in mind. I would highly recommend them for anyone considering going solar.

I had a very positive experience with Lumina Solar, and in particular with Charlie Keyser, the sales rep that I worked with. Lumina installed a 19-panel solar system on my roof in March 2024. The process was smooth, with every step of the paperwork and the actual installation explained in detail by Lumina. But there are further reasons that I am happy with this company and with Charlie. I originally talked to Charlie about solar installation in October 2023. But I did not proceed because I would need to replace part of my roof (3-tab shingles) with architectural shingles, which adds extra expense. But Lumina offered an incentive in December 2023, upon which I re-contacted Charlie. We went over a number of roof replacement, solar panel config and pricing scenarios. During this phase Charlie showed prompt communication, detail orientation and a willingness to partner with me to find an optimal solution, as opposed to just maximizing revenue for his company. I eventually decided to do both a partial roof replacement and solar installation with Lumina. I evaluated a few other solar companies. One aspect in which Lumina and Charlie stood out is that he was never pushy. This was the big differentiator between Lumina and the other major solar installer I had shortlisted. I don't like aggressive sales tactics, irrespective of the price point and other factors. What I like is someone partnering with me to arrive at a solution. This is what I got with Lumina and Charlie. Following the installation, Charlie has been continuously responsive to answer my questions on SRECs etc. The panels are working well and meeting most of my energy needs now.

Lumina Review We had a great experience buying a multi-home solar system with Lumina Solar. Our consultant, Christopher Richardson did a great job. Iâ m a retired Nuclear Engineer and I figured that I could design the system we wanted and get multiple Solar companies to bid against each other, so we could get the best price. Boy was I wrong! When I told Christopher what we wanted, he looked at all our buildings. He found that by using our Barn and Hayloft roofs, we could improve our Solar Energy capture efficiency from 72% to 98%. The savings over the 25-year lifespan of the system will be tremendous. Christopher explained that this was possible because we could use the Electricity generated at our barns for all our properties. This was because we qualified for â Virtual Aggregate Net Meteringâ . This means that we could put the panels on the best South facing roofs and use the electricity for all the other buildings. None of the other eight Solar Companies that gave us quotes, picked up on Christopherâ s approach. To make it even better, before we started, he reviewed our Monthly Electric Bills and noticed that we were paying our current Electric Company twice what we could pay with a different supplier. We changed suppliers that day and cut our bills in half. Even after the installation, Christopher Richardson has been very responsive to my detailed technical questions. Alex our sales person was excellent to work with. He went over all the steps involved since it was a fairly complicated series of paperwork that needed to be created. He went over the various rebates that were available. He stayed with the project until it was completed. The crew doing the install was very good. Also they cleaned up and were very careful about installing things correctly. I was impressed with their speed and efficiency.

I researched a number of solar companies and spoke to many reps. Alex with Lumina was so laid back and not pushy, it was refreshing and seemed too good to be true. More research found the Lumina price was competitive, Alex just wasn't the type to force a sale on his time. He let me take my time, answered questions, gave guidance and tips on doing my own research. I've had solar for almost two years now and even though electric rates have gone up, my bill hasn't - and I received this when troubleshooting an issue with BGE: " Also, your electric usage is high. " I laughed when I read that, but I'm thankful for Alex's patience with me as I did what I felt was my due diligence prior to making a huge purchase for solar.

I researched for a year on solar and Lumina came to the top of my list. I appreciated their honesty most of all. They helped with all aspects of the project, connected me to financing, tax credits, payments for SRECS, everything in other words. I highly recommend them. As to solar, I save more from my electric bill, than the amount of my monthly payment. In other words, it is more than paying for itself. In face, I was shocked at just how much my electric bill dropped, especially in the summer months when air conditioning is on.

We are now up and running with solar energy courtesy of Gabriel Shabtai and the Lumina Solar team. It was so easy, no disruptions and everything happened on time. So, now our utility costs have plummeted to near zero and we didn't have to do anything, including getting all the incentives. Lumina looked after us perfectly.
