Highly recommended! My family and I visited with several companies before deciding on Lumina Solar. We were most impressed with Alex's presentation, which was the only one to discuss the specificities of how the equipment would be installed on our roof. This was important for us because we recently had a number of repair issues and wanted to ensure the installation would not create any problems that needed attention down the road. Alex was also very patient with us as we asked questions during his presentation. He wanted to make sure that we understood how the system worked, the timeline for permitting, etc., and what to expect after the system was installed (e.g. MD credits, SRECs, energy production, etc.). Alex didn't try to rush us into making a decision and he didn't try to lock us in with attractive-sounding yet ultimately unbeneficial alternative payment/ownership models, such as a Power Purchasing Agreement. Once we signed with Lumina Solar, the entire process was seemless and quick. Their team kept me apprised on every step and checked in to answer questions. The site visit went smoothly and the inspector was very thorough (thanks, Erica!). The installation team arrived on time, worked quickly, and left my home (inside and out) cleaner than it was when they started (Chris and Delph were wonderful!). (They took the time to remove their shoes when entering my home and even vacuumed when they were finished.) I'm also grateful that the team handled all of our paperwork and registered us for all of the relevant accounts (this in itself would have taken me hours to do). In sum, Lumina Solar is hands down the BEST choice for your home's solar needs.

I asked three different solar companies before talking to Lumina. All three declined to install solar on my house despite plenty of sun and a clean roof to mount panels. The reasons varied from we don't install on your type of roof to not worth the effort due to required setbacks. Zac from Lumina sat down with me and in an hour and a half we had a completely designed system using 23 panels with cost and payback figured out. Lumina had no issues working with my type of roof and Zac explained that the setbacks didn't apply to my roof design. Over the next couple of days I discussed various revisions and asked questions. Zac answered the questions quickly, tweaked the design and we signed a contract. Installation took two days and everyone was polite and careful while working on my house. I'm VERY happy with Lumina.

Very professional and friendly company. I went through multiple solar companies, getting quotes and out of all of them Lumina had the best cost, financing, service, knowledge and warranty. The big national brands do not have the personal relationship with the local permitting office and therefore donâ t know the local codes, which limit the amount of panels they put on your roof. Lumina worked closely with the permitting office and was able to maximize the number of solar panels I could get in my roof. Furthermore their roof inspector was very detailed, not just use a drone to take photos. They were on the roof inspecting and measuring every square inch. They found some flaws which I had my roofing company make warranty repairs. Without the inspection, I would of never known and a drone wouldnâ t of been able to see it. All of the staff was very detailed, and kept track of every step of the install and activation process. I did ask the county inspector how the install work was and he had commented that Lumina always does good work and he doesnâ t have to â chaseâ them for mistakes, like he has to do with other companies. My solar install is very clean, there are not conduits running every where on my roof and the panels and micro inverted they use are the most advanced ones right now. Cost ended being about $2.76/watt which is very reasonable for the type of panels and inverters I got. I had quotes from other companies were much higher and crappier panels and poorer service. I would highly recommend lumina to anyone looking to install solar. Everyone they use is in house and not contractors.

I had the system installed in my home in 2020 and has been so satisfied with it that I decided to get additional panels installed this year. Both times I worked with Catie McColley who has been very professional. Walking me through the whole process both times. Willing to answer any and every questions or concerns that I had. I will recommend Lumina Solar to anyone looking to help save the environment and some money at the same time.

Catie Meck was a perfect partner for our rooftop system. From the first consultation to months after installation, she was knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, quick to respond, and quick to solve problems. I showed our analysis of solar energy hitting our rooftop, including the diagram, to many friends. Catie even helped my friend solve problems when he had a few glitches, even though she wasnâ t working with him. Catieâ s colleagues who scheduled our installation were just as responsive and flexible, and the installers themselves were friendly and helpful, showing us what they were doing. They were also remarkably clean, right down to walking out backward while using a hand vacuum as they left!

Lumina Solar did what they said they would do with professionalism and competence. They designed, modeled and installed a large 18.9 kw system on my house and it is producing power as projected. They also installed an electric car charger. Everyone from the sales person to the installation techs were personable, experienced, knowledgeable, and reliable.

Working with Lumina Solar has been wonderful. They have been prompt, courteous, and helpful throughout the entire process from estimate to follow up. They explained the process, gave us a detailed plan, and guided us through the various rebates and credits available to us for going solar. Installation on our townhome took place in one afternoon. After doing our research, we chose Lumina Solar for our solar installation. We worked closely with Tim Cooke to get the system designed the way we wanted, and the Lumina team was always very responsive to our questions and requests. The entire process, from design to the final inspection, went pretty much flawless. We would like to specifically call out how well the team managed the whole project and kept all the key stakeholders in the loop the entire time. Often customers focus on the technical specifications and the system costs; in our experience with home projects, good project management can easily be the most critical and important "element" that we are procuring. The folks from Lumina have been great to work with, from the planning of our solar array to installation of the panels to their electrician who met the County inspector for the final inspection. Easy sign-up to monitor the system via the Enlighten app, and ready help to get all the "rebates" we are entitled to for the installation, from SRECs to Federal tax credit to Maryland grant. The process was very easy from start to finish. Everyone at the company including Catie were very helpful and courteous. They showed up when they said they would and finished the process in a timely manner. Would recommend.

Eric and Ryan recently installed our Lumina Solar system. Despite it being one of the hottest days of the summer, they completed the job in one day as promised. They did a great job hiding all of the equipment and cleaned up after their work was finished. They even filled in holes that were left open from another project. I would definitely recommend them!

We recently turned on our panels after a Lumina installation. This place is full service. The process of putting up panels takes a ton of steps - inspections before and after, tons of paperwork, and it is complicated. Lumina takes care of it all - I get things scheduled at my convenience, forms filled out and sent to me for approval, and Luisa available and responsive every step of the way. From the opening consultation, in which she provided as much data and details as I asked for, I felt in good hands. Then the parade of inspectors, engineers, and workers came in and I always had friendly and knowledgeable help. My one critique is that from my look at the numbers, I think they overestimated the cost of electricity a bit, which makes the gains from solar look even better than they are, but according to my estimates based on their numbers, it is still a smashingly good investment, in addition to being good for the world. one final note - there was one problem after installation with my AC - they sent people out immediately and reimbursed the cost of the inspection. I was so happy to work with and feel I am in good hands going forward.

From start to finish Lumina has been great, I first met Phillip he walked me through all the steps and answered every question I had no matter when it came up, then came install day, I was a little nervous honestly I just built my house in 2019 but I was greeted by the A team Ben Kimmel was the Manager , Jimmy the Lead Installer, with Haden And Dan, worked together like a well oiled machine, they had every step of the install down to a science, Mike the Lead electrician walked me through how the conduit would be run so it was attractive and didn’t stand out his crew James And Matt did an outstanding job. This crew was simply amazing, the level of care and clean up was exceptional, Late in the day after all the panels were up they went up on the roof for one more look over and cleaned every finger print off they could find, now if they pay attention to that detail in cleanup then I know every part of the install was treated with the Same level of care.

It was a very easy process to get solar. Much easier than I thought, and they are performing even better than I expected.

Amazing customer service, thorough, detail oriented I had reached out to other solar companies who would only install large systems (which would not work on my roof due to it's small size and permitting requirements) and was turned away.
